First off, I absolutely love everything about this theme. The only issue I’m having is figuring out how to re-route posts from my existing WP blog to the blog section of the site. Is that doable? Forgive me, I’m fairly terrible at anything related to programming, so I apologize if it’s a simple fix that I’m just missing.

You just need to set for some page a “Blog” template under “Page attributes” box. Then all visible posts will be displayed on that page.

Thanks for updating the theme and including comments in it. I don’t know if this is possible but I would like to have on the side menus (Profile, Resume, folio, etc) a link to open a post directly. I tried to use custom menu but didn’t work.
My intentions with this are to have some type of client’s review. Where people can comment about me and my work without having to click “read more” button. I think that sounds very fake if you just copy and past some comments. If not possible to have this how hard will be to have this feature customized?
The other thing is in Custom options > prestige_blog_categories. When I type my category and press refresh the category that I typed disappeared.

You’re welcome. To open directly comments please add to link a target: #prestige_comments, so the url will look like this:

You can also display choosed comment with link:
http://quanticalabs.com/wp_themes/prestige/#!/1483/blog/1337/lorem-ipsum#li-comment-2
After you choose category in Page configuration, you need to click on ‘Update’ button to save this setting.

Thank you for your prompt answer I tried your suggestion but when I link the page like you said the link menu don’t stay active. What is actually happen is that the blog page assume the color of the page I had before.
I try Updated instead and the field disappeared and I just tested that if you type something in field > Update > leave the page > come back to the same page > the field stays completed > but if you press updated > the field disappeared.

I tried with google chrome and IE9 with same thing. Tried this: Go to pages > Custom fields (for some reason when you install a fresh theme this option doesn’t show but when you install other plugins this option becomes available) >Select for the name option “prestige_blog_categories” and Value option “photography” (or any other one) > Click update (from the custom field button). We can have two options options now. 1st If we click on pages or leave that page and come back to the same page that custom field will stay “photography”. 2nd If you now click update from the PAGE . The field that we had before “photography” will turn blank.
Hope this could help.
Another thing is. Can I have have a post without a image? Even if I don’t have a image a white space with a frame still showing up.

Please don’t do that via Custom fields. There is Blog categories list under Page configuration box, where you can set blog categories.

First of all congrats this vcard theme totally worth it.
I think I found a bug. When you password protect a page (the resume for example) you can’t type the password in the field.
[Updated] Well, you can type the password but you are not able to see the cursor. Furthermore, the submit button seems blank untill you click on it.

When you’re adding or editing portfolio item, you’ll see on the right side at the bottom “Featured Image” box, inside you’ll find link “Set featured image”, please use it and choose image.

1483 is the assigned blog page number, you’ll know your own when clicking on blog in homepage. /blog/ is the address given under blog in wordpress pages.
For those who are doing this on the permalink page of your wordpress admin, you’ll need to edit it manually in your SQL db under ‘wp_options’ then find ‘permalink_structure’ and edit it.

I’ve used the above as my permalink and changed it in phpMyAdmin and even though the hash hasn’t disappeared, I’m getting http://www.website.com/#!/page_id/page_title as the URLs on the recent posts widget, I have tried using percent’s but they make no difference.
I have also tried #!/%post_id%/%postname% but the recent posts links do not work when clicked.
Hetul, try using your SQL editor, I edited it using my phpMyAdmin and it’s worked. It doesn’t remove the hash!
Also, we cant add #!/page_id/page_title to the permalink.. it keeps on removing the # in the front. As a results, recent blog post links doesnt work.

Hi… another issue.. we are trying to use NextGen Gallery for one of the pages and all seem to work fine except for the SlideShow and the Pagination… So if I go to 2nd page of the gallery, it breaks the site completely… is this something you can look into? we absolutely need the gallery to be working on the site… or maybe we can try some other gallery if you could recommend.

At this time you can’t. As Prestige is ajax based theme it need to use #! to provide browser history support.
