Hopefully this makes some kind of sense.
On the news page for the Music Flex theme I currently have an issue where I have multiple pages of news articles – each page displays 10 articles – but on the section where it allows you to jump to the next pages worth of articles there is a slight cosmetic issue. It shows the numbers in boxes 1, 2, 3, 4 and then instead of what I think should be an arrow it shows a £ sign which takes the user to the oldest or newest pages worth of articles.
Is there any way that I can fix this? I’ve looked all over the back and can’t spot where this could be changed so hoping you may be able to help.

Try editing the symbol on Theme Options. In particular, log in to Dashboard and go to Theme Options > Content > Archive Views: Posts; then locate the Posts Listings Pagination Section. Next, set a character you need on the Previous Page Text and Next Page Text.
If there are any characters in the next two fields Previous and Next Range Text), remove them. When finished don’t forget to Save changes to let them apply.
To change the number of posts appearing on the listing view (blog) go to Dashboard> Settings > Reading and set a value on Blog Pages Show At Most (X) posts field. Again, make sure you Save changes in order to let them apply.
Last ask: how do I change the date format in the Blog grid? Now shows the month and year only, I need shows a full date. thanks

We haven’t performed any change to the date format; it is displayed according to the default WordPress way. In fact, the default way is the North American format. However, if you need to switch to a format that corresponds to your locale, go to Dashboard > Settings > General and locate the Date Format options; you can choose among a number of formats. Don’t forget to Save Changes when finished. This will apply to all your blog posts.

We are back on the request because our previous response was wrong. We realized you refer to Instagram Social Icon. This is a different case. The social icons are displayed in a fixed color. If you need to change that, you have to use custom CSS. We usually don’t provide custom CSS in the forum but in reward to our previous mistake, we’ll give you an example. Please, copy and paste the following rule in the Customizer > Additional CSS

You can replace orange with any valid HTML color.

Calendar date falls off 12 am on the day of the venue and should stay for that day. We have tried everything to make this work, however when the morning comes at 21.01 the venue falls off and the venue is for later that evening so all who are trying to find the venue a=or need to share it ext , dont have access to it. Main use for the client and it doesnt not work. Please send fix or instructions for this fix or we will have to either use another calendar or cancel this product and review it

We noticed you are using an outdated version of our theme. Please, update to the latest version and the calendar will work as expected ( issue was fixed in MusicFlex 1.2.4, the current one is 1.2.5 ). The package is available on your Envato Account. Remember to keep a backup of both files and database before updating.
Download the theme package, unzip it locally on your computer, locate the .zip file with the name of the theme and upload it on your website. Using an FTP client (like Filezilla) upload the theme folder directly on to wp-content/themes and overwrite existing theme folder. You don’t need to keep a backup of the previous version. To complete the update process, go to your WordPress Dashboard and, follow the instructions (update bundled plugins).
Also, we noticed your support period has expired as of Sep 21st, 2018. It depends on where you need to utilize the services. Furthermore, some of them do not require a special function to be embedded rather than using the code provided by the service itself. Other required an API and we had it added. In some cases though, like the Releases, on Track Listings, on Audio Services Icon links, we have made available only Bandcamp, Amazon and iTunes due to the popularity of those services at the time we released the theme. However, we are open in any suggestion regarding adding more services as links in the tracks in a future release.

Actually, you can add any service you need. Just log in to Dashboard and navigate to Theme Options > Content > Releases. Open Content Basics and on Audio Market Service Index section Add a New Service.
To review the Theme Options of Musicflex, you can use our backend admin demo available on this address http://demo.plethorathemes.com/sandbox/musicflex-admin/. You only need to sign up and log in. The backend demo currently is available only for the rock band demo of Musicflex but Theme Options are identical to all demos.

When making a template, is there a reason why templates don’t save the CSS code in the page?

The theme uses LESS that allows for dynamically producing the style sheet. Therefore, there is not one standard CSS file. LESS allows for adding variables, mixins, nesting, and other useful features to extend the functionality of CSS. For more information, please, take a few moments to review the official website http://lesscss.org/
If you need to add custom style, you can use either the corresponding item on the WordPress Customizer or the Custom CSS field on Theme Options > Advanced > Scripts & Styles.
I think I may have been misunderstood. This is a problem with a Page template. I would attach a screenshot if I could. But when making a Page, one can save a template – but it won’t save the CSS under the sprocket in the upper right of the backend editor.
That’s because custom CSS rules when placed on Page Builder settings apply to the particular page only. In any case, this function is integrated into WPBakery Page Builder and there isn’t much we can do to change it.
The latest update does not work properly, so I looked at the included files, and they look like they have not been updated. Both items for this last update files say they are from the early February, and as a result… the update broke our website because the files were not there. We did a restore, can you please check this

It appears that the short link that you have in the release settings for linked video is adding ‘youtube’ in front of the link. Which is probably turning the short link into a text line: [YouTube https://youtube.com/videocode]

We are sorry you are feeling this way. We strongly recommend taking some time to review the options of the theme as they include numerous settings With them, you can achieve a great number of configurations.
You can apply options two way: globaly, using Dashboard > Theme Options and per page, using Page Options . The per page options override global options.
In every page, the elements are semantically separate so you can apply different styling settings for each one. We have implemented a number of options (like transparency, colors, positions etc.) for customizing the style of a page, in ways that can fit in almost any need.
If you need some help to understand the way something work, just open a ticket and describe the case. It will also help you clear up what is the specific problem you may be facing. In case it is related to a bug or something, we’ll correct it. In most cases, the issues can be easily solved by setting the correct value.
In any case, we believe it worths giving this theme a chance and we are sure you’ll be able to complete your project in a satisfactory way.

To review, add or remove a track in a release, edit the release and roll down a bit until you locate Page Options. Then, go to Content Basics tab and roll a bit until you locate Track List. You will need to have uploaded the audio files on the Media Library to obtain a valid URL address for each track.

Thank you! I do have a request. Perhaps that’s possible, but I don’t know how. I need social icons for spotify, tidal, google play and many others. Mixcloud and Bandcamp are not really relevant for me. Another thing, on the page loader does not center on mobile. My logo image itself is centered. thanks!

Last one: when I add a contact 7 form to a new row, the form fields won’t fit the column. It also overflows on mobiles, making the fields go off-screen.

You can add more social icons in Dashboard > Theme Options > General > Socials. You may need to add an extra icon library though if an icon is not available in the included Font Awesome library. If you are referring to the image logos of the services in the landing page, those are simple .png images and, you can add any image logo of any service in that place. Just import the image to the Media Library.
Regarding the addition of extra fields in the contact form of the demo, please note that we have integrated into the syntax of the form the HTML Bootstrap Classes that separate the screen into columns. You will need to set the appropriate class next to each tag to make it work as expected. Try copying one of the current fields (and change the tags and texts).

Hi there. Presale question. I see this theme uses Visual Composer as the builder but I am just wondering if it is also compatible with Elementor?

Elementor can be installed and used with our theme. However, you are going to miss a part of the functionality that is based on WP Bakery Page Builder. We have created a number of shortcodes that work only with Page Builder so, if you decide to switch to Elementor you won’t be able to use them. Everything else (the sliders, the special post types, the widgets etc.) will continue being available.
Note that, we don’t officially support Elementor and, if you face an issue, we can hardly provide you with a solution as we literally have no user base to collect data and troubleshoot the specific plugin.
Great thanks for the info. Can I ask what specifically I would lose should I choose to use Elementor? Just curious if it would be something that I may not need for a current build.

To see what you’re missing if you replace WP Bakery Page builder with Elementor, edit a page and, add a new Row. On the Row, try adding a new element; you will notice a new window coming up presenting all the available shortcodes. All those marked with the Plethora Themes logo are the exclusive features. Some of the pages like https://plethorathemes.com/musicflex/rockband/discography/ are heavily dependant on them.
But if you admire the design, you can still use our theme. The page configuration, the sliders, the special post types will still be available. It will be interesting to see how far can you go with the basic functionality plus Elementor.
On the other hand, you can give Page Builder a chance as it offers a variety of options allowing for creating remarkable pages. And, it’s a premium plugin included with our theme without any additional cost.

Can we have artists register to create their own artist page and sell dropcards via Woocommerce? Then we want the public to come in and purchase their music using dropcard or paypal?

We haven’t designed our theme with this concept in mind. However it is possible to achieve that with a few additions but, note that a regulation will be required from an administrator if you need to control the actual content. The scenario includes:
- adding WooCommerce plugin
- allowing the users to self-register (it is possible via third-party plugins)
- restricting users to Author role, so they can add their profile data and also add posts to the website if they need.
- allowing users to add products to the cart (Authors can do that).
WooCommerce currently supports Paypal out of the box but, we don’t know if you can use alternative ways like dropcards (with a plugin maybe). You can also use a third party service.
That’s all we can think of right now.

As mentioned before, this theme wasn’t designed for that use. However, its flexibility allows for adding extra functionality. We support WooCommerce, so we can’t see any reason for not using it. Extra plugins like Memberships will work as with any other premium theme that supports the parent plugin. It seems like you are looking to build something special, a commercial website with high traffic and, that’s very good as, a lot of websites owned by big enterprises are using WordPress CMS. In any case, whatever theme you’ll choose, it is highly possible you’ll need extra code. If you are not familiar with advanced web development (combining HTML, PHP, Javascript and relational databases) we recommend getting in touch with a special service.
MusicFlex provides a truly flexible design and, has already built-in custom post types that fit to your needs. It is also compatible with some of the most popular plugins and, comes bundled with WP Bakery Page Builder, probably the best solution for creating advanced pages without needing to get involved with the code. It is a great starting point for your project. But, you’ll need some extra work to get it where you need.
hi plethorathemes – i have a little question about filtering with the grid – modul. i want to display blog articles with the category “Articles”(which i created) and all the Sub-Categories of that. Can i do that with the GRID modul?
and with which settings? as when i try… i just always get all entries or all articles shown.

To display the posts of (a) certain category(ies) using the Posts Grid element on Page Builder, edit the element and, go to Data tab. Locate the Filter Posts by Term and, on the field, enter the categories (or/and subcategories) you need to display. Save changes and Update the page to see the result.
My client just purchased this theme to build his site on… Everything is installed including required plugins for the demo import… but when you click the button to import I get a popup message saying this “It seems that for some reason, the import procedure cannot start right now. Please try again later.” can you tell me what I need to do…

okay – so: + does the theme provide a light skin also? as it seems in the demo is mostly dark skin used.
+ is it possible to also style the header area in light skin? (within theme options or just via CSS manually)

+ when viewing the demo on mobile (iphone 6) the pictures did not load (3 main pictures of startpage-fullscreen-slider). any idea on that?

The theme has five color set you can customize in any way you need and, apply any possible color combination to your website, including, yes, a light one. No need for custom CSS.
You can apply any one of the five color sets to the header area and, achieve a light color scheme. Again, no need for custom CSS
On any Single Even post type, you can enable the Page Builder at the main content area and add any Page Builder Element, including Headings, Text, Call to Action buttons, Images etc.
We tested the demo on several mobile devices, including the iPhone series and, we couldn’t locate that issue. We could use some more information to troubleshoot that.
Generally, the purchased license includes six months support, so you don’t have to worry about theme related issues, we got you covered for design and functionality for any modern device type.

The main content area, on the image you have attached, appears to be disabled. You need to edit Page Options > Content and set the switch Editor Content & Sidebar Section to position Show; then enable the Backend editor and, add what you need. This area will appear in front, above the Footer.

Each Show/Event Page contains the Event Info, Ticket Presale, Venue Details and Google Maps Sections.
The Event Info section can have a custom name and (optionally) additional entries, such as the ones you see (EVENT TIME, VENUE, SUPPORT ACTS) and these can have a custom title and custom markup as content.
The Ticket Presale section is also customizable, and you can add as many ticket entries as you like and also change the title (now Ticket Presale).
The same applies for the Venue Details section. You can set it to a custom Title, add an optional custom Subtitle and add as many entries as you like with a custom title and a custom markup (now show as Address, Phone, Website, etc.)
Of course, you can also disable all of these sections with a simple On/Off switch and add your custom content using the default WP Content Editor.
Hi, I bought the theme. I’m almost finished with my site, just missing the slide. is it possible to use the demo slider and how? I wanted to make a slide like this page: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/musicflex-wordpress-theme-for-bands/full_screen_preview/21150542 just by changing the photos, did it come along with the imported demo? When we buy the theme comes the slides too? I know the photos have copyrigth and are blurred, but the template with the slider already helps. tks

Adding a slider to any page is piece of cake. First, add a new slider and assign at least a couple of slides. Then go to a page and, on Page Options > Content > Head Slider Section and select Plethora Slider as Background. Then, from the drop down list, select the slider you created before. Hello, thank you very much, I was able to put the slider, but I have a problem.
The photo slider loses quality, I can not leave it at the ideal resolution, when I put a photo in 1920×1024 for example, the slider lowers the photo to 1024×683.
Is there a way to leave slider photos in high resolution?I’m developing for a client: I opened a ticket and sent the code there.

1. You can let the user sign up and upload any media, depending on the role you assign to them. WordPress provides the option to allow users sign up for an account. You may need to add a plugin for displaying the registration page. Regarding our theme, we haven’t included a similar page in our demo but you won’t have a problem adding one on your own. Note that, we don’t recommend letting people upload audio files on your website (and let others download) as this could easily increase website traffic and even create downtime issues (depending on your hosting plan). Some hosting services could also block your website. Currently, only dedicated servers could perform frequent file transactions between your website and your visitors. We recommend using a third-party service like Bootcamp and, embed a player in your website (supported by our theme).
2. MusicFlex fully supports WooCommerce, you can simply add the plugin and start deploying.
