I need to update the theme, so do i have to install it manually .. the theme and the plugins .. or its ok to update it automatically using the envato plugin and api as you mentioned in the documentation ? .. and if its ok to update it automatically the theme files will be updated and the plugins too ? Hi, The Method 1: Use Envato Plugin, you can update theme and plugins that included in theme. However you still have to delete old plugin and install new plugin. Note after delete old plugin, you will see notice that requirement install plugin, you can click it to install new plugin.

Hi, If you want to change themes by your self, you can change in child theme so it isn’t effect when you update theme.
For Plugins: We will update and fix more features in the future so It is effect to more files. Also for Events Manager Plugin, it supports override templates in child theme. So you can easily change frontend for event.

I’m sorry you don’t get my question.
Here is my situation:
My website runs the child-theme to easily edit the style and not lose it when i update the main theme, now i run the 1.2.2 i need to update to latest version.
So what steps do i need to do ?
Only upload the em4u folder to wp-content/themes to overwrite the old main folder theme.
Or: i have to delete all the plugins and imports and upload them again ??
Another option: updating it with envato plugin which update it automatically without ftp client .. in this case if the plugins have changes does the change occurs or i have after that upload the new plugins again and re install them.

1: Update Manual:
+ Step 1: Upload the em4u folder to wp-content/themes to overwrite the old main folder theme.
+ Step 2: Delete old Plugin and install new plugin.
Install new plugin by way: Delete plugin in site, you will see notice that require install plugin (http://demo.ovathemes.com/documentation/em4u/assets/images/image_65.png), click it to install new plugin. (Because new plugin included in theme)
2: Update via Envato Plugin: It is auto update theme but not plugin so after update theme, you still have to do above Step 2.

Ok i installed theme but stuck in step 2, which plugins do i have to delete ?
1. All of the plugins come with the em4u or certain ones only ( ova events / wpbakery )? 2. Delete them from the plugin manager or from ftp ? 3. Deleting the plugins effect the plugin data and settings and i have to set it again ? 4. After you tell me how to update the plugins do i have to import all the demo data again or no need after updating the themes and plugins ?
and is it compatible with wordpress 5.1 or its still with 4.9.9 ?
Hi, 1: Only some plugins updated like Events Manager Plugin.
2: You can delete from plugin manager
3: Yes It isn’t effect to your data
4: You don’t need to import demo data then update theme, plugin

1. If i want to enable the speakers section for a certain single event and disable it for another ?, and if i want to change its name in a single event from speakers to band members and in the other events to be speakers, is there is an option for that ?
2nd Problem: this page has 2 issues when you acces them on mobile:

3. the mobile menu when i choose the header version 2 in the customizer which i really need. the mobile menu doesn’t include the login-register icons in the top of the menu i mean next to the logo and menu icon in the header itself as the header v1 appears on mobile. + the menu itself turns white not black which i really appreciate and hope that its not a bug but there is a white space under the logo itself and between the first item of the menu.
4. suggestion: add a location button under the map of the event to take you directly to open the location from google maps if you open it from a mobile or it will open a new tap with the directions on a new tab if you are on a computer.

1. i mean in the first event the section called speakers, maybe in another event the speakers section need to be renamed instructors or band members .. depends on the event type need this section name to be editable.

i mean the schedule – speaker – ticket & Price – Comments – Contact .. this text need to be editable per event not to translate it as i mentioned before each event maybe have a speaker and maybe they called trainers or instructors or band members, maybe schedule need to be band line in a concert so it depends on each event type cant be the same for all so we need this feature in the next update asap please.
4. A suggestion to add a button like this in the widget on of the location of the event which when you click it redirects you to the location of yhe event on google maps here is a screenshot of the idea you can add it next to the google cal and the ical+ this is the best place

1: The theme doesn’t support this. If you want to change like this, you have to customize code. You have to make Speaker text field, Schedule text field, for per event in backend.

Hi, Please download theme then unzip, you will see em4u.zip, unzip it and upload to wp-content/themes/ folder. Delete old Event Manager, advent, PayPal, stripe plugin and install new plugin in Plugins folder of theme package. Deleting plugin isn’t effect to your data. Thank you.

Further, once the user submits the event, it should come to the admin for the approval before direct posting on the website. Once, the admin approves, then only it should reflect on the website

1) I want to give all the event submit options to the new user who want to post an event. Once the user submits the event details, it should come to the admin for the approval. Upon approval y admin only, the event should be displayed on the live website.
Also we have registered twice from the same email id, it still registers and creates another user with the same email id. Ideally it should prompt us that the user already exist if there is same email id.
sorry for the last message, about multiple registrations for same email id. Please update me on the event submission message only. How to go ahead on this

We tried to do it. We have given the role to a new user as “event manager” form the choice of different roles mentioned in the drop down menu. After doing it, when I registered as a new user and re-logged in as a user who just want to submit a new event, I can all the details which doesn’t even belong to me.
Eg. I can see the entire list of the entries made by other users or made by admin himself. I can see all the details of the following:
- Tickets
- Venues
- Speakers
- All events
These contain the details of all the entries made till date, which I’ve never created or must have been created by other users or admin.
2) i can also see the options like- Posts
- Media
- Comments
- Cubeposts
and everything, which an external user should never see.

I bought EM4U theme to create an event website, i stuck in creating an event (my single event page showing 404 even after selecting post permalink under settings). There are also 2 options to create events- 1) Normal post with event customization and 2) Event Manager (the one which is not working). Please help me out with a solution.
Hi, Please surely you bought thhis theme. For 404 event: You have to save 2 times. The first: set Default permalink then click “Save” button, The second: choose “Post Name” permalink and save again. Thank you!

There is another problem i need a solution on, the left side of the menu panel is showing categories for events and posts but theme is using event manager categories so is there any way to get that event manager categories in menus replacing others.

Again i am facing another problem with your payment gateways. cart is only giving option of paypal and when i am trying to add woo commerce cart instead of WP bakery cart. This one, which is an addon for Header Images specifically, uses Customize page – it is shown in details in this screenshot guide: https://wpglobus.com/extensions/wpglobus-header-images-screenshots/ It does not use the language switcher – as it usually does creating other entries etc. – but should add language badges to custom headers. Unfortunately, I can’t even upload more than one.

Hi. I purchased the theme today and as I installed the themein wordpress, the installation failed. The error message is “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”.
I simply added the complete zip file as downloaded. Do I need to extract the files and upload the internal 2 zip files in the name: “em4u & em4u-child” zip folders?

I checked the archive-event.php file and I couldn’t see any padding options there (I guess that’s what I’m supposed to change?).
