We followed the documentation and imported the demo data for the fitness sample v2.0, we would like to use it as a foundation, we did not received any error in the process, but the layout that we get is different from the sample link below, some sections and images are missing

Hi, quick question for you regarding the menu positioning.
Try as I may, I can’t seem to get the navigation to float to the far left against the logo. There must be something in the CSS I am not seeing. Here’s the dev site:

Hi. Just bought your template! I got a problem i need to fix. When i movie into a page i see the code of the page first and no option to see it with blocks with the visual composer plug in so as to work on it easier and make changes easier. What should i change so as to see pages only with blocks?

Make sure you’ve installed all required plugins that come with the theme.
After that, edit a page with the classic editor > if you see the shortcodes(code) click the “Backend Editor” located below the title of the page, that will show the blocks.
Also, make sure you read the Help file that comes with the theme, everything is explained there, how to setup and use the theme.

the Definity theme doesn’t support e-commerce plugins e.g. WooCommerce. But the HTML template has e-com. elements & layouts if you are interested in building the e-com functionality yourself.

In the blog when posting a video the mobile site makes the video the same size as the desktop width. No matter what type of embedding I try. Any ideas?

Is there any possibility that you can help with the resizing of the logo on a mobile device? The logo is too big and I can’t find the css to make the mobile logo smaller.
Hi there,
this type of custom edits are beyond what support provides. There are no feature to exactly to that (make the mobile logo smaller), but you can do it via CSS.
You need a media query for mobile screens e.g. @media(max-width:992px), then point to the logo class and element and make them the size you want, or even load different logo.
Those changes should be added last in the main css file (style.css).
If you have problems with this you should hire a developer.

So it is not coded into the theme for responsiveness? I have worked with other themes that allowed me to change the css very easily but I can’t find anything in the style sheet to adjust the properties of a mobile menu logo.
The logo is the same size, the navbar around the logo is responsive and it will adjust depending on the size of the logo.

Try to redownload the theme, then unzip it inside it there is a file definity.zip that is the theme and the file that should be uploaded to WordPress as a theme.
Also, be sure to read the Help File for more in detail instructions.

you’ve probably have server problem and incorrect folder permission (in your wordpress) installation. This has nothing to do with the theme.

Hi Guys… the portfolio filter is not working at all on my website… the feature is set to be on and the portfolio items have been assigned filters but no filters will work except the “All”... when you press the other filters all portfolio items disappear….please advise urgently… thank you!

HI Guys… as I mentioned above everything is setup and done correctly.. setup to on .. filters assigned etc… and the filter is still not working… the filters other that “ALL” make the items disappear when you press them?? Please assist urgently as I need to go live with this website. Thanks.
What version of the Definity theme are you using v2.0 +, if so there is a different way the portfolio filters work.
You need to have the Definity Portfolio plugin active.
Then create each portfolio item from WP Backend > Portoflio > Add New Portfolio Item > Filters (left widget) Add filter.
Filter names should not contain spaces and ”-” needs to be full word.
All of this has been done … yes to version 2… Portfolio is plugin and filters added to portfolio items.. even listed in portfolio items list that they are filtered… all of this also please remember must have been done otherwise the portfolio would not display on All to begin with? Please advise urgently…
It also does not seem that your lightbox opening option on each portfolio item works unfortunately either?
Clearly you doing something wrong or you have some plugin conflicts that prevents the scripts from running. This all works fine in the demo.
Please share WP admin access and FTP access and I will look into more detail (use the contact form on my profile page, don’t post it in the comments).

I bought this theme a while ago and am just using it now but even after updating the theme and all plugins it doesn’t seem to want to let me use visual composer to create my pages. When I go to make a page the default Wordpress editor is there. I realize I don’t have active support right now but I shouldn’t have to pay $40 just to make the theme work at all.

Hi, I still have Definity 1.0.0 on my site. Can I update to 2.0 without redesigning my site again?
Hi there,
before any update from v1.0.0 to v2.0, make sure you fully backup your website and you know how to restore the backup if something goes wrong.
That said updating the website will require to reconfigure your navigation and there is possibility you need to make some small change to some elements but not all of them.

Great theme! It’s perfect for my purposes, although I’m having an issue when editing the imported demo pages. It seems to only show the editable HTML code in the default WP editor. The WPBakery page builder is there, but it always says:
YOU HAVE BLANK PAGE START ADDING CONTENT OR TEMPLATES
after adding elements to WPBakery page editor, the edits fail to register when I preview &/or publish the page. Same issue when I create a new page from scratch. Anything made in the WPBakery page editor doesn’t register on the page preview.

Hey. I deactivated and deleted WPbakery page builder plugin as you suggested, although now the premium WPbakery plugin included in the theme isn’t available when searching plugin directory, only WPB addons. Is the premium licensed plugin located in the Definity theme .zip somewhere I don’t see?

Hi there, Elementor and WPBakery are two different page builders. Elementor is more simple to use because it’s easier to see what you are editing, is there a way to use the Definity specific elements through Elementor instead of WPBakery?

you want to have different menu for different page? That can’t be done “right of the box” the menu is the same for all the pages – you will need to make custom edits to the theme or use some plugin that may provide that functionality.

In the meantime, can you give me some info on changing the container sizes and margins set by bootstrap? Must these rules be overridden using CSS?
Greetings, the update is in works but I can’t give you an exact date of release.
That is very complicated edit to make, the theme uses Bootstrap 3 and you should set your own CSS rules to overwrite the Boostrap ones.
I would not recommend doing this, because there may be various potential bugs if the Bootstrap layout is changed.

I am trying to insert Contact Page layout 1 on the Main Demo Multipage with the map behind the contact information section. The problem is that the map doesn’t show.

First, keep in mind that now Google charges you for using Google Maps.
In order map to show your site needs to be live, also check how the demos are setup and duplicate the settings with your own API key.
If after that the map doesn’t show, you have some errors in your Google Maps account (a most common one is, you need to set up billing ).

When I upload my logo which I have made to resemble the default, the size doubles and becomes pixelated no matter what css-overide I use.

can you share the link to the website to see the problem myself.
You can also check the logo size of the demo and if your logo is smaller you can make it same size but with transparency around and export it in .png.

I try to use WPBakery Page Builder with some theme templates I don’t know why but i can’t use it, when i make some changes on my page it won’t change.
The other thing is i see i must update my WPBakery Page Builder, but i can’t update, because i have the newest version Wordpress. Can you help me? Or do you know what te problem is?
I don’t like because it because i can’t change my website the way i wanted id.

the paid plugins that come with the theme are under special license agreement between the plugin author and theme author (me). You can use the plugins as they come for free – if you want a separate license you are free to buy it yourself from the plugin author.
The theme update is little late (should be out till the end of the month) – with the plugins updated also.
