You can make restaurants directory, similar as real estate or business directory, just categories based on food/restaurant type for example
Order food then can be via contact form, or some special process/form can be custom coded.

Thanks, I could enter as admin and I have seen that the board is a bit different, and I have not seen how to include banner ads among the listings (next to the map).

For banner, You can add widget with image or use some third parity banner plugin for wp, share your idea with support after purchase and they will try to help you.
You can’t remove all, some important like content, title, description can’t be removed.
We can’t guarantee compatibility with third parity plugins, best practices seo and cache already included in our plugins so no need to install separated.
Friendly urls are created by default, no need to configure, also listings sitemap.

1) Is it possible to hide or delete the location related fields from the search boxes, in order to have just categories and a free keywords search field?
2) Is it possible to completely hide the map from search results pages and listings?
3) Is it possible to hide or delete the localization icon when you hover the listings cards?

Physically one listing can’t be on multiple locations, but we have nice clone listing feature so you can clone listing for multiple locations/categories and just change location/category or other if needed, screen: http://prntscr.com/mias5v

1.) does each listing have it’s own email -if one owner post 5 ads I don’t want all emails going to owner.
2. ) Can it be used as classifieds?
3.) does it display listing owner in listings, if so can this be enabled / disabled?

Still not seeing it. Need a pathway for owner to claim listing and be led to a subscription page. Seems like whole point of a directory website.

Most of the directory sites I’ve built, I populate the directory with minimal information, then businesses claim their listing, pay a subscription, and fill in their better info/images etc. No one would every subscribe and pay to be in an empty directory so you’d never be able to get your first 50 subscribers.
You’d also have very hard time getting an empty directory to gain an local SEO.
You mean, so you will populate directory with some basic data by import, and then business will find them-self and want to pay to edit their business data?

Yes. With the exception of real estate rental listings, that’s how most directory business models work.
You are only able to sell listings on trafficked sites, and you can’t get the traffic without the existing content.
The sales funneling through Claiming a listing ->Subscription/payment -> Subscriber dashboard, is the most important thing I look for in a directory theme.
