Hey there – Will there be a fix for this error in PHP7.2 (w/ WP5.1.x)? Rolling back to 5.6 isn’t an option. One of my clients is running the theme (they’re looking for the login) with this error:

Hi, I would like to have just one large, static background image (like the Breakfast theme). I have searched this help page and already added these short codes in the custom css box under theme options:
body {background-repeat:no-repeat;}
background-position:center top;
body {background-attachment:fixed;}
I also sized my image to 1366×768 as suggested to another person. But my image still repeats, tile after tile. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, you should not need any custom CSS to have a background like that, you can use the options to upload a background image and then disable the repeat if you don’t want it: https://cl.ly/86d9988c9b75

Hi, thank you for your reply. I don’t have an option to disable the repeat. No box to tick/untick. My Layout options look different from the link you posted. I do not have a section called Backgrounds, I have a section called Tiles were I can choose a Background Tile and a Sidebar Tile. That’s it. No boxes to tick. My theme is up to date so I’m not sure what’s going on ..
It sounds like you are not using the latest version. The latest version is v2.3 – is that what you are using?

I guess I am not using the latest version after all even though it says all my themes are up to date. Current version is 1.2.1. Any reason why notifications about theme updates have not been happening? I would hate to keep missing updates.
Yes, it’s just because that functionality is not automatic – it needs to be coded into the theme to connect and show that updates are available. Eatery was created with our previous framework that had not yet been updated to support that. Right now we are focused on our other themes, but it’s likely that we may launch a whole new version of Eatery in the future, which would then support auto-updates and many other features.

Hi! The drop down menu is not working on mobile phone (iPhone). I can scroll through the various pages from the drop down menu but nothing happens when I do. Essentially I cannot move beyond the home page. site is www.eastwestflavors.com. I’m accessing on an iPhone6. Any idea?
Hi, I’m very sorry for the delay, somehow this message was accidentally missed. It seems you are still experiencing the issue. First, it could be a plugin conflict so you could test disabling any extra plugins and see if that works.
Other than that, it’s hard to say, but I can see that you are using an older version of the theme, v1.2.1. If you update to the latest version, v2.3 it has a new, much improved mobile menu as you’ll see in the live demo: http://demo.themovation.com/eatery/

I love the theme but for whatever reason when I go to layout in theme options i get a 500 internal server error. Not sure what is going on, please help.

If you download that file and overwrite the one in your theme, it should be good to go.
The theme file is located under /themes/eatery/framework/admin/functions/create_header_image.php

Hello – my web provider 1&1 IONOS requested that I update tp PHP 7.1 Before doing to I updated to the latest theme and updated all my plugins. Unfortunately the menu now appears in bullet point in the header throught the site. Is this something you could advise on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi – I have updated to Wordpress 4.8.2 and the Theme Options / Layout has disappeared. I have created a test site, have no plugins and imported the demo content and have the same problems on the new test site as well. I have reviewed via Chrome and IE and both browsers have the issue. No Layout options available where I would add items such as Header images. Is there a fix please?

After updating to Wordpress 4.8.2 (security-update) the event calendar no longer works. After entering the date and publishing, the date fields remain empty. The event will not appear in the list.

Hello good had a question about theme eatery and polylang,
It turns out that I want to put, The language is set by the directory name in the custom permanent links.
When I do this it is the right thing to set the languages by directory in sidebar on the left side.
That I have configured the Language switch widgets, it only comes out in English language correctly.
But when I switch to Spanish or German, Does not display the Language switch widgets in the left sidebar (disappears).
Same happens with widgets with text when change of language (disappears because). And is the only module that I have the polylang nothing else.
Can you help me thank you.

I have submitted a support ticket and need some help. Nothing is working. This is a totally fresh install on a brand new website so there aren’t any conflicts with plugins or anything. I’m trying to work through the installation and configuration but step after step nothing works as instructed. I can’t even add a logo to my site. I am supposed to be live with this site by Monday and I’m dead in the water.
