Anyway, if you like to disable the aside expanding on hover please follow below steps.

1) You will need to be able to compile the theme after changing JS/SASS code from the source folder(src). For more info please check the documentation: https://keenthemes.com/metronic/?page=docs&section=quick-start#docs

2) Open the layout initialization JS file in “theme\default\src\js\demo\default\base\layout.js” and remove following code:

if (mUtil.hasClass(body, 'm-aside-left--fixed')) {
.............
}

3) After completing the above changes run “gulp” task to compile the edited js code.
