Read in the theme documentation paragraphs “Header and Featured Area > If You want to display featured content” and “Set Up Your Homepage > To set up a simle blog page”.

To set up Home-5 select “Full Width Posts Carousel” in “Featured Area Settings” and “Content Layout > Mixed: large and list” in “Content Area Settings”.

I have a more pressing question setting up home page variation 3:

Homepage (landing page) is setup up correctly to magazine style. Magazine pages are set up correctly to 3 chosen categories. Content Area is set up for option Three-column full-width masonry layout.

Alas, the three categories all display full width or boxed width images one after the other instead of the three-column masonry layout I chose.

Certainly, appreciate help with that.

“Note: Theme used CSS Grid Layout and CSS Variables, therefore it may not display correctly in some browsers. Supported browsers can be viewed at the following links: CSS Grid Layout, CSS Variables.”

“Compatible Browsers: Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, Edge.”

Since IE does not support these technologies, to work with it you need to rewrite the whole theme, and some things will be even more difficult to implement than with new technologies.

2. Add this code to You child-theme style.css file:

and change the size of the logo in this code to your own.

Tested with Multi Device Switcher.

Ehh still the same: 1. I have changed the code into functions.php 2. When Child i active then Child scheme is displayed on both the computer and the phone. 3. When Melina is active then scheme from Melina is displayed on both the computer and the phone. 4. It looks like the theme does not consider the plugin changing the display on mobile devices. It’s the other way round when Child is active and when I set Melina to be displeyed on the phones. 5. When I set: Add a PC Switcher to the footer on widget, a button appears on the page to change the appearance on the PC. After pressing the button, the same template appears regardless of how active it is.

I was able to find out that third-party plugins can interfere with the normal operation of this plugin (Multi Device Switcher). In my case, it turned out to be a caching plugin. Without it, everything works correctly. See in my demo – http://kulesh.by/theme/melina/demo-6/

Perhaps you have to blame some of the third-party plugins. Try to disable them and see if everything will work as it should.

2) Unfortunately, the theme does not have this option. It needs to be improved for this option.

oh, this is a pitty. This didn’t get out of the demos or the documentation. But I need deparatly the latest post on top of the site.

What can you offer to me? 1) Improve the theme by that function in one of the next updates? 2) providing some css snippet to have this set up until the next update will include this? 3) I will switch back to my recent theme and get back the money from themeforest/you?

I don’t know how your landing page works, but to remove featured image from single post you can delete line 25 in the file template\template-parts\post\content.php

To change the fonts you can:

1. Use third-party plugins, for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/

2. Or edit lines 239-270 in the file functions.php and lines 69, 74, 75, 116 in the file style.css

Спасибо, я понял. Нашел в чем дело. Там есть страница Sample page. Она назначена как front page. Я все страницы отметил как черновики. Включил ее и всё появилось.
