You need to put your Google Maps API key to Dashboard -> Theme Options -> Google section. Here is a related manual for how to get the API key.

Hi so am looking to maybe purchase this product. Can I use it to sell workshop-style events, for training? When I focus on an event it seems to offer registration only. Can I set these events up so that they are chargeable? i.e. $99 to be on this event? Is that possible?

Events are simple custom post types which display information about events. Unfortunately, there is no payment option for events in the theme by default.
