When using instant booking, where does the payment go to? The owner of the listing or the admin?

Also, how can i edit the advance search form? I do not want the map on half the screen, i would rather it be a list, and how can i change the settings on that? for example remove beds and bathrooms.

Hello RoyaleWorks, Rentals club helps to pay owner through PayPal. It is an add-on from a partner and is for PayPal payments only. Plus, Paypal demands they approve manually each customer who wants to use this kind of payment – adaptive payment from paypal).

We don’t have booking without login, but we’re gathering from our clients specific details about how this option must work.
Do you need to make payments without login?
Or it’s just a message you wish to receive and then mark dates as booked?

I wonder if it is possible to use a “Reward System” (“Point System”) plugin with your theme, in order to allow users/owners to pay services by such a system, in addition to (or instead of) your current payment system?

Hello corynne , Thank you for the message. I cannot answer this question with yes or no as I never used such a plugin. But for payment system the options are set in code, and based on our experience with other plugins it’s not easy to integrate a 3rd party plugin in payments without extensive custom development.

The properties are attached to each owner and there are many notifications sent to owner (not necessarily from contact owner box) but also when sending a request, confirming a request etc.
To remove all notifications means attaching a different owner. And I don’t know if you will want that as well.

Could this be used as a portal for users or home owners, from anywhere in the world, to submit their properties for occasional rental (like renting a room for two weeks vacation in California, NewYork, Paris for example)? Payment will be made on the website and a percent of that payment will be collected for the service offered.

The theme doesn’t manage payments to owners through the theme options. There is a specific 3rd party add-on that can be used for Paypal payments, but it works in a specific way. if you wish more info, let me know.
As far as “occasional” rental i am not sure what that implies. If the owner wants to allow only specific days to be free, the theme supports ical feed import so owner can mark calendar dates as book for all times except a period he leaves open. But I am not sure if that is all you need.
Also price property is in 1 currency (that set by admin) and in front people may see the price in other currencies by changing currency widget, however transactions are done in 1 default currency.
Admin can set a % for each booking total and that money must be paid before booking is confirmed.

What is the difference between Geo location search, and the city search in advanced search. It is bit confusing.

No, they don’t. Because they look for different things, they work differently. But may be useful to this case if you don’t need the radius (geo location) in regular pages because you can use geo location to find a location on the map and then using search filters you can find results matching that radius. I am using google place search, and created around 10 listings properly by mentioning city and Area in description tab, and all info in location tab. I have created these listings in Australia for different suburbs, for example Strathfield,Homebush,Parramatta etc. When I give sydney in search i get all respective listings but when i search for individual suburb or area , my results are empty. May I know what am I doing wrong here?

Let me explain my issues in details. The tests which you conducted have already tried and I know that it works in that way.
Sydney is one of the main city in Australia NSW. Sydney having multiple suburbs like Homebush, Strathfield, Parramatta, etc.
When you give the city as Homebush and submit a listing, then people who search for Sydney does not show any results.
So I tried giving Sydney as a city to submit a listing, then people who search for Homebush does not show any results.
What my expectation is when I give any suburb in search(Example: Homebush), then I should get results related all listings in that particular suburb.
When I search for Sydney, I expect to get all suburb listing to be available for Sydney.
Awaiting for your response as many people informing us about this issue.

I have just replied.
As mentioned in the reply, for Google Homebush and all the other suburbs do not have “Sydney” as city. Google considers each an individual City (Sydney, Homebush etc) are all Cities.
I will check to see if Open Street has a different kind of database for these locations and follow up tomorrow.
If not there is the 3rd Alternative to use theme auto-complete for search.

Rentals is not a hotel booking theme for multiple rooms. The theme booking system doesn’t connect to a channel manage in general, only has ical feed export to sync calendar availability.
Blogs and articles are not connected to property location I am afraid. Not even sure how this would work to be honest. If you have an example I can check it out.

Are you planning a future update? Is any way that tourist can chose from price for room to price for guest when he made a booking request? Also, if i select various numers of guest, the price remain the same, even in your demo themes example.

Only owner can select if price is by guest or by night when adding or editing the property. We can’t leave this to user to select I am afraid.

Hello, I just had a property owner ask if they can pay for their property to be featured.I think this is a great addition to monetize. Something that you developed already for WP Residence (charge an extra fee for a property to be set as featured featured. Any chance to see this in a future release?

New merchant is be possible with custom development only.

And that can be used as documentation to implement the change you wish, but we’re not able to guide on how to make this change I am afraid as it’s complex and requires the code is actually written/tested. That falls under custom development which unfortunately we’re not available to do for our clients either as our schedule is already full.
I couldn’t advise how much this would cost either as it depends on many factors.
What I can advise is to ask a developer before you decide on moving forward with such a change if they can quote this.

We released 2.7 theme update with WooCommerce as option to pay for a booking. WooCommerce allows to enable on checkout different merchants from their list (please note some are paid but we don’t have control over that https://woocommerce.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/ ).

So I tested everything in detail. Everything works fine but when I create a random user, the user can see the option to “Add a listing” which I do not want. Can we have a setting when a user signs up, he doesn’t have the option to Add a Listing? Only the Administrator can add a listing and any user can book the space (only) based on the availability.

Hello, We purchased your theme and upload it to one of our domain names. And then I wanted to switched it from skating demo to ship rental demo. We could not d that. So we uninstall the theme and reinstalled hoping that this time we can have the ship rental demo data instead of skate board rental. But our purchased code does not work at all and it gives “The activation code is not correct!” message. Please help. And there are no xml files for manual demo data import as well.
