my partner bought and installed this theme for our company but it does not update wordpress version further than 5.03 and mentions you have the latest version of wordpress while 5.2.2. is already out its a bit disturbing and keeps the theme vulnerable

Our theme has no effect on the version of WordPress, it is just compatible with the latest version. You should be able to update your WordPress regardless of what theme you have on it.
On the other hand, WordPress team is always improving the installation’s security with every version they put out, which doesn’t mean that the version you have right now isn’t secure enough.

this particular theme has been proven vulnerable to malware many times. so im keen to think it has something to do with the wordpress version thats not able too update 5.0 to 5.2 which is already a couple of udpates further but doesnt seem to allow user to update it to 5.2. the link you shared doesnt help solve it. While we do make sure to apply several security measures and tools etc to ensure our site safety and dont have these issues with other themes. this particular issue is quite frustrating. We will not continue using nor recommend others using it.

What is the ideal logo size for the menu?

The way logo dimensions work:
Maximum logo height is determined by the header height option in Theme Options > Header.
As for the logo image itself, because of retina displays, image dimensions are being divided by 2. So if you upload the logo that is 100×100, the actual dimensions on desktop will be 50×50.
In case you want a logo that is 100×100, you need to upload an image that is 200×200, and set the header height to 100.
