Is the theme support RTL?
There isn’t native RTL support in the theme. You will need some customizations to make the whole website and theme RTL.
Can you do this for a additional fee?
We recommend you hiring a freelancer to this for you. We as theme authors don’t provide freelance services.
Hi, thank you for your answer, indeed I found the datas ! But I also had an other problem… On features section, I’m unable to see some “icons”, i checked on AwesomeFont settings, and it’s already set to 4.x version, but still some icons (‘venus-mars’ and aren’t shown, how can I fix the problem ?
Also, I found an other bug, from Article page, the menu is not redirecting to right sections, whereas it did from the front page. How to implement a back button or something from an article page ?

Could you try entering the whole URL in the menu item instead of the #anchor only:
Example: “https://speculum.fr/#univers” instead of ”#univers”
To make the back link in the upper right more visible, you can use the following CSS code in Appearance > Theme Settings > CSS > Custom CSS: .back-to-site a { color: #fff; text-shadow: 1px 1px #000, -1px -1px #000; font-size: 17px; }
Please also have in mind that it could also be overlayed by your admin bar while you are logged in.

Hello, I am interested in purchasing this theme but not sure if it has what am looking for, I want to build a website that sells pdf books to be accessed online only. which means the user cannot download the pdf and can only access it for a specific period of time like 6 months for example. Does this theme provide these options?

Hi, nice theme but I’m struggling to find the “live preview” datas, in general themes are coming at least with a bunch of dummy datas and the live preview exemple. There is a dummy data folder in the archive you download from ThemeForest, where you can find a novela_dummy.xml file. It contains the elements of the Front Page from the Online Demo. You can Import it with the WordPress Importer in Tools > Import > WordPress.
You can also read the documentation in documentation/index.html – open the file with your browser. We have explained the theme funtionalities there. You just select Front Page as a template for your page and then you just add your sections.

We will be updating the icon font in the upcoming version of the theme. Meanwhilte please download https://drive.google.com/file/d/14GXSuTXj3jToMax4dsCtUxHxuzdzljZ5/view?usp=sharing and extract it in your-site-dir/\wp-content\themes\novela\assets overwriting the files. It will fix your problem.

The theme is created as a single book landing page, but yes you can add more books and create more pages.
I have Odrin and was wondering if I can mix both themes together? I’d be using this for my landing page of a new book, but still with the rest of my website being Odrin.

You cannot mix the two themes together, but you can achieve a similar landing page in Odrin as the one in Novela – some components are different but others have similarity in their deisgn. Odrin is using the Unyson Page Builder which gives you the flexibility to place and adjust the components in the page.

For the book preview you have a WYSIWYG field for each chapter which allows you to stylize the text and add media inside. You will need to copy your book text and add it there. Another option is to insert a button inside your webpage which leads to the pdf file, but that way you will not be able to use the book preview from the theme with the flipping pages.
My Wordpress automatically updated to the Gutenberg editor and I was no longer able to use featured images in my posts. It took me days to figure out that the new editor was causing the problem. I had to install the classic editor plugin to be able to use featured images in the Novela theme. I would prefer to use Gutenberg because I like the functionality. Any idea if the issue with Novela and Gutenberg might be resolved?

Make sure you update the theme to the latest version as well as all of the plugins Most importantly the Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugin, which is included with the theme – it should be version 5.7.13 (you might need to first uninstall and then install the plugin again).
I had no option to update ACF PRO so I uninstalled it. I updated to Advanced Custom Fields because the PRO version would have cost me another $25 on top of what I already paid you. I got a white screen and nothing worked. I replaced the new plugin with the older one in my PURCHASED theme folder. The site was visible again but now all the custom fonts are gone and the site looks like crap. Plus, your theme does not even show as installed anymore and I cannot edit any of it. So, do I have to pay you for support even though everything was fine before the update to Gutenberg? Or do I just cut my losses, delete your theme, buy another one and give you bad reviews? You decide…
1. Delete the free version of ACF that you installed. 2. Delete the theme. 3. Install the newest version of Themeforest and install the ACF PRO that comes with it. Yes, the newest version of the theme comes with the newest version of ACF PRO. You don’t have to buy it.
Was the “bad review” part even necessary? And yes, according to the Envato policies ( https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy ) you had to extend your support. We have already done our part by updating the theme and removing the bug you are describing weeks ago.

Nice theme. I am setting the theme up for a client and I am having a problem with the icons in the Feature section. The problem is the icons are not showing up. I looked at the code and the code being generated for the icon comes up like this… Any idea why it is reading ‘fas fa’ and not ‘fa fa’ ? The ’s’ is the problem.

Please go to Appearance > FontAwesome Settings and change the version to 4.x. You can also navigate to the settings from Plugins and click Settings for the Advanced Custom Fields: Font Awesome plugin.

You shouldn’t have any problems using Visual Composer but have in mind that the theme doesn’t have a special design for its components.

I can copy text of book. Theme’s security is low. I can’t setup ebook system by Novela. Can you fix it?
This is not a bug, it’s the normal expected way that sites should work.If you don’t want the text to be copied, you can search for a Copy Protection WordPress plugins.
I have Ebook (PDF), Can i upload to theme Novela?
The book previews are created by a WYSIWYG editor similar to blog posts. You can add the PDF to be sold, so customers get it when they purchase your book or you can add a button in the page which opens the PDF. But you cannot insert the PDF in the book preview provided by the theme (with the flipping pages animation).

You can paste a video link to a section of the theme and it will automatically be embedded as a player using the default embedding WordPress functionality.
Hello, I am looking for a theme just like this where the viewer can read my book online but I also need them to have the ability to search a word in the book and all search words will show up for them. Does this theme allow for word search?

You can import the .xml file from the Admin Dashboard > Tools > Import > WordPress (you might have to install the importer first) and select the file to import. Have in mind that the images will not be imported as they can only be used in the online demo and cannot be included with the theme.
