To fix the security issue please update both the theme and Hybrid Composer plugin to the latest theme version of 27, July. You can update the theme and the plugin via FTP or, to do it via WordPress, delete both the theme and Hybrid Composer plugin and install the new theme. If you do not see the Hybrid Composer plugin installation message install it manually, it’s inside the /inc/ theme folder. Always make a backup of the database and of the theme and plugin folders first.
You can also update only the affected files: comments.php into the theme’s folder and index.php into Hybrid Composer plugin folder.
This hack should only affect the database “siteurl” option, so no files should be affected, you can restore the website by update the database record on wp_options table, record name: siteurl

I have 2 questions concerning fixing the loophole . 1. what is the best way to secure the theme/plugin? 2. If I update the theme, will that also update the plugin that had the issues and secure the website ?

Hello! I bought Y theme and Slider revolution is a part of it, but it doesn’t install automatically. When I install it from the theme files manually, it requires an activation code which I don’t have.
I use Wordpress 5.2 on Hostiner platform. Thanks

I am having exactly the same issue than User “Hilodental” had 2 months ago. When inserting an external Link inside any content, then the page dissapears, and all I can see is code (in Frontend and Backend).
Yo said you solved the problem with updateing the composer.js in the plugin-folder of hybrid-composer. I have installed the prepacked Version 1.4.2.
Where can i get an update? How can I solve this problem? I need help very immediatly.

No not really, cause I`ve already paid for your theme which has an remarkable bug which makes the theme completely useless. Why should I pay a second time for a software, that does not work properly???

Manually update the file composer.js inside Hybrid Composer plugin /admin/ folder. clear the browser cache and will work. You can get the updated file by download again the theme from this page, then open the archive hybrid-composer.zip inside the /inc/ theme folder.
If you need further help you need to renew the support.

I need to be clear about the section of events in two items:
1) How is the “next events” published? Because if I change the date of the event post – which corresponds to the date of the event – it appears as “scheduled” and not as published and therefore, does not appear on my list of “upcoming events”. So the event date is manually inserted on the top, and the month is actually a category, then on the archive page that show all events, use the Masonry List or use the Tab and into each tab insert e Grid list for each month.

Ok, please go to Appearance > Theme options > General and on bottom check “Disable Gutenberg” after that you should see it, if not, try to click the top right button SCREEN OPTIONS and check “Page Editor” / “Editor”.

ok be sure to that the file admin/composer.js inside Hybrid Composer plugin fodler is updated. The issue is caused by the WP Editor component that was having a bug , the pages broke with the char ”.

Hi, sorry you’re right. Please go to Theme options > General and on bottom check “Disable Gutenberg” then on Edit page you will see the menu, if not, click the top right button SCREEN OPTIONS and check everything.

sadly a futher issue, what can i do, that the lightboxes are working in chrome. https://kyte.media/#section_QXqDb here, in firefox all is good, clicking the picture , come up the video . In chrome, the browser just downloading it. :/
and if i setup a link as “Custom link” the custom content (textbox) didnt come up as lightbox. Try it at the last site “impressum”-link. Not working in firefox or chrome
.... get this in the chrome console: jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3 Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type application/octet-stream: “https://kyte.media/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Schweiztourismus-Herbst-1.m4v”. how far i know, this means , because the video isnt place in a document, chrome will download it. So i set up custom lightbox, (! here it works , but not for a link? as a mentioned above), content->video. But there only links to youtube videos working.
Hi, you can not use m4v foramt, it’s not a web format and most of users will not see it. You must use Vimeo or Youtube or convert the video to MP4. You can use https://www.any-video-converter.com/products-freeware/

Hi, it isnt clear to me , how the icon-menu is working. I installed the “dark agency example” but there is no menu in the Apparence section. Then i try to build up from scratch, i follow the steps in the documention (documentation/menus/) for fullpage/onepage, but the menu didnt appear in the frontend.
and after i watch the youtube-video, where i see a “page menu” section, i cant find it at my own.
Hi, you need to set the full page menu on Edit page on right (you will see the menu area). Also on Theme options make sure that the setting Menu > One page menu is NOT checked. Thank you!
