That was done with Jetpack’s Tiled gallery module, once installed, you can add a gallery and you’ll find a “tiled gallery” option in it.

Hey Peter,

If you can only see some custom taxonomies, it is likely that your custom taxonomy set up needs to be looked at. Compare the options for one that does appear and one that doesn’t, you likely have an option disabled in the one that doesn’t appear. You would do this in the plugin that you used to create the custom taxonomies.

It’s important to add here something like:

$cb_tax_str_output_1 = $cb_tax_str_output_2 = $cb_tax_str_output_3 = $cb_tax_str_output_4 = $cb_tax_str_output_5 = $cb_tax_str_output_6 = $cb_tax_str_output_7 = $cb_tax_str_output_8 = $cb_tax_str_output_9 = $cb_tax_str_output_10 = $cb_tax_str_output_11 = $cb_tax_str_output_12 = $cb_tax_str_output_13 = $cb_tax_str_output_14 = $cb_tax_str_output_15 = array(

So there is hard limit for only 6 custom taxonomies to show in admin panel. You should fix this for other users to show all taxonomies, not only first six.

Oh what how weird! That definitely isn’t normal. But I just checked on Chrome on a Mac and it works fine for me.

Can you go into your Mac fonts and see if you’ve installed the “Oswald” font by any chance? Because if you have it installed it might be that, as I remember there was a bug with Windows users years ago where if you installed Oswald locally on your pc, if you went on any sites using Oswald, the text would appear cut in half.

Thanks for the reply, I had a look for Oswald but its not there. I don’t suppose there might be anything else worth trying? Would I be able to change the fonts in the theme or is that too drastic? Thanks again!

I think that there must be something on your system then, because I’ve never seen that (and no one else has reported that), try going on another computer and see what happens. Could it perhaps be a browser extension you’ve installed?

Please ignore Sidekick, they were seemingly acquired by a bigger company and seems they have completely stopped that service now, so don’t worry about it, it was only a service to show you video tutorials during the use of the theme. It has been removed now though in the development version (Valenti v6) and will no longer appear once that update is out.

There are currently no plans for Let’s Review to be included with Valenti v6. The theme comes with the plugin’s API code already integrated though, so they work seamlessly together. Let’s Review also has a migration tool to convert Valenti reviews to Let’s Review with one click

You’re actually looking at it from the wrong angle, those thumbnail images created are actually a very good thing! Without them your site’s performance would be terrible and it would affect your Google rankings (performance is one metric they use to rank sites). WordPress itself creates about 5 thumbnails, any plugin that shows images will create more and the theme creates more, but they are all created for a reason and so are needed. The real solution is to increase your site’s hard drive space if your site uploads huge amounts of images every day and you’re getting low on space. Although you should check your cache folder size first, as your cache may actually be what is taking up all the space, as thumbnail images are usually small.

Hey thank you for your answer. I can’t increase my site’s hard drive space cause it would mean having a dedicated server and i’m not big enough to deal with that kind of server. I have one more question.

Let’s take an example : On one article i upload 10 pictures ; only one of the ten is chosen as spotlight picture. Why do you need to create 9 copycat of every pictures ? Only the picture set as spotlight picture needs to be display on the Homepage, on the mega-menu and other parts with differents sizes, no?

But maybe i’m wrong, i try to uderstand why i need 9 copies of 5.000 pictures i uploaded on my website.

You’re welcome, but have you investigated to see if it is indeed the images and not cache or something else? Because 5000 images would likely be less than 2-3 gb in total size max (with all the thumbnails included), and even the worst/cheapest hosting would offer you LOADS more space.

You need multiple thumbnails to load the exact image size in every possible locations. Menus, widgets, homepage, archives, inside post, etc. If you don’t have multiple thumbnails, your site’s performance will be very bad and slow.

The theme doesn’t add a captcha to the login form and comments form, if you have one, then it 100% is coming from a plugin and if you think that captcha isn’t very good, then you would need to change the plugin and use a different captcha one

Thanks for the interest in both Valenti/15Zine, I’ll answer it all in one and copy/paste this to your other question too

Let’s Review plugin is not included in 15Zine/Valenti, but both themes are 100% compatible, as both have the API code of the plugin already integrated into the theme code.

Regarding the mobile menu, you can indeed set a different menu for main/mobile menus, and you use the standard WordPress menu system to control them (Appearance > Menus). That means you can create 1 menu and set both menu locations (mobile/main) to use that 1 menu so they can use the same one too, and they are easily configurable through the WordPress menu system too.

1- Yeah, you can definitely turn off the different parts of the by line. It can be done with some easy on/off switches in the theme options

2- The theme does perform really well right now, but v6 will indeed take it to new levels as a lot of the framework has been heavily re-written to take advantage of new technologies available in modern browsers + new WordPress practises which improve performance.
