Hello, i am trying to update the Cinerama Theme from Version: 1.1.2 to Version: 1.6 but then the website is broken.
The PHP version is 7.2 and latest WordPress version. I have tried the update of the theme and the new import also. Could you please guide me. Thank you!

It is possible that something was uploaded wrong or something is corrupt with your WP install.
Download a fresh copy of the theme from Theme Forest site and install / activate it. Then re-install all required plugins.

Thanks for writing in. There is no option for that. Since in portfolio list, all portfolio items are represented with featured images, and that “play button” is for opening those images in lightbox. So, video is visible in single item actually, where you are able to open it. I’m interested in buying this theme.
Before I do so though, I want to know how drap and drop it is to set up.
I’m not too concerned with customising the theme. I just want to set something up as quickly as possible. I would use the example pages as my inspiration and build something which combines elements from those.
I am not technical in anyway and cannot read a single line of code.
I have worked with X Theme as well as Divi for many years and have found their drag and drop set up to be intuitive and easy to use.
Is yours similar or does it require more technical know how?

Please note that this theme use WP Bakery Page Builder as default page builder and the whole our demos has been built by using that plugin. So you can build your site very easy by using this plugin that comes with Cinerama theme as bundled plugin.

Note that we modified some aspects of WPBakery in order to suit our theme’s needs. Some features were removed, and others were added. layouts.

I have had this theme for a while now, I updated to WPBakery 6.0.5 and running into issues, do you know if its compatible with the new version of WPBakery? Thanks
I updated to Cinerama Core 1.1.1 and that helped, but its overloading my memory usage and I/O usage and stalling out the site when I edit in WPBakery. Is this a issue you have knowledge on? Thx
So I had godaddy look into the issue, its nothing with my sites backend and they said it was a issue with Cinerama Core 1.1.1. Can you please let me know if this is a issue you can fix, I will start a ticket. If not I have to send 400 to upgrade my memory to make the plug in work. Please let me know ASAP!

It looks like you built this with WPBakery editor and we see that you ordered your columns in 3/9 ratio. Perhaps you want to try with 4/8.

well this is simply not working, i tried to change the columns to 1/3 + 2/3 but nothings happens. i think its because you are using the element holders to create the paddings – can you maybe provide me with an css to set up a now standard row that has the same with as the items above?

i solved it by using a table now – the columns are not very consistent when it comes to responsiveness – you can check it out by narrowing down your demo content with a lot of information (over 2 lines for example).

I use the Blog Metro home page, but when I change the picture I wan to show one this home page, I can’t seem to have the same size. And all the grid is broken. Is there a way I can say tomy picture “fit in a square of that size” ? How does it work on the demo ?

2. thanks for pointing out this wpbakery thing – allthough i could not achieve it since in the grid builder no edge elements are available to choose. it seems that the function to open a videolink directly over an image with a play button is not available – i come this far: http://new.rickfilms.de/film/the-strait-guys/ if somehow i could tell the site not to open the video in a lightbox but instead put the iframe directly over it it would do the trick – maybe you have an solution. Please make sure you inserted the date correctly, using dd/mm/yyyy format. In our local installation everything seems to be working correctly.
When it comes to portfolio item, the one you linked is not a “custom” portfolio type and you didn’t turn off video lightbox for the particular item. When you open a portfolio item back-end and scroll down you should be able to see portfolio area and portfolio type dropdown menu. Chosse “custom” type and you should be able to edit that portfolio item through WPBakery.

You would need to extend shortcode functionality for Horizontal timeline. You would need to add url parameter in wp-content/plugins/cinerama-core/shortcodes/horizontal-timeline/horizontal-timeline.php and horizontal-timeline-item.php. Then you would need to pass the variable to render as
<a></a>tag in templates/horizontal-timeline-item.php

I read this post:
The timeline you propose in the theme doesn’t work at all…the more I build my pages with cinerama, the more I got bad surprises….honestly I will end up with a bad mark for your theme…about the timeline :
1-We can not set too many years because the timeline is unable to create the appropriate space between dates to show them all in a nice way (it creates big gap between 1960 and 1990 for exemple), and when you set it manually (width below 60 in the settings), all dates are written one above the others.
2- It’s impossible to go after 2000, it creates the date 2019 automatically, even when I set 2000 in the correct field !!!!
Have you fixed it? Or I will buy the theme and get in trouble?
