Hi team, I realise this is probably outside of support but I wondered whether someone could comment on the use of fonts not provided by Google Fonts. I have a request for a custom font on my site, which I presume I need to purchase/download and then add, probably via a typography plugin? How do I work out how well a particular font will display with various browsers? Is there a site you can direct me to? I haven’t needed to do this before. TIA

1) how can I update my theme? Thought Envato Plug-in I can’t do this, since there is not Button for that.
2) My contact form ist responsive to other devices, especially on the Phone. It’s just disappear (in settings its not hidden for devices).

1) If you have already setup the Envato Market plugin. If there is a new update available for the Overlap theme. You will see a notification message and a link to update the theme in Appearance -> Themes like other WordPress themes.
However, you can also update the theme manually by downloading the theme file from ThemeForest. You can find the instructions on how to manually update the theme in the “Manual Update” section after the “Automatic Update”: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/documentation/#update

Of course, it is. However, you may need to check the bundled plugins too. Navigate to Appearance -> Install Plugins, if there is a new update for those plugins you will need to update them.
There are responsive settings for the column. This makes it disappear on mobile devices.
You will need to edit the settings for the column, container of the contact form. Click on a pencil icon on the center top of the column of the contact form.
The following picture will show you on how to edit the responsive settings of the column:

I have two issues with the portfolio slider. Maybe there is an easy fix?
1. The white background / box for the title is gone in table and mobile view. What it does: it makes it harder to read the text. 2. The sliding dots aren’t clickable in Desktop view. Only via arrow I can see the next slide but not by clicking on the dots.

1. Of course, it doesn’t have the white background for the title on mobile devices. This is on purpose. However, you can add the following CSS snippet to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to move the title down and make it easy to read:

2. There seems to be a problem with the new version of Owl Carousel that is included in the new update of the theme. Thank you for reporting this issue, it will be fixed in the next update of the theme.

This is a PHP compatibility issue. Looks like you are using the old version of WPBakery Page Builder plugin that is not compatible with PHP 7.3. Actually, the latest version that is included in the theme is 6.0.3 and is compatible with PHP 7.3.
After you update the theme, if there is a new update available for the bundled plugins you will see a notification message to update them.

Hi support, I’m having this weird thing where when I set the page for my shop (woocommerce), it shows nothing on that page. When I view that page, not set as the woocommerce shop, it shows up. I had this same kind of issue with another site, with the blog page. Can you comment on this and a satisfactory solution? TIA
If you set the page as the Shop page, WooCommerce will automatically display all products there. Please ensure that it doesn’t have a Shop Page element. The Shop Page element is to show the products outside default shop page, for instance, when you would like to have products on your home page or to have multiple shop pages on the same website.
For the blog page, you have to set a blank page as the blog page. You have to remove everything from that page before you set it as the Blog page.

Try to check the Page Title under Overlap Options -> Title Area. If it is empty the title text won’t show up either.

I have some problems with my theme:
1) Why is my design isn’t responsive on the other digital devices? For example, some texts aren’t visible on my iPad or iPhone. Also Headings are getting smaller and the text from a text block are huge.
2) On other pages with your standard headers the heading have the italic font. Weher can I change it? In my theme options I have all the fonts I want and none of them are italic. Also in Backery builder, down in header settings you can’t change the font.

Sorry for the delayed response!
1) It sounds like that the column, container of those texts are disabled on mobile devices. Try checking the Responsive Options in the Column Settings and make sure all checkboxes in the “Hide on device” are unchecked so it will be visible on every device, see the picture below:
Regarding the headings and text size issue, try to update the theme to see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, you may need to send me your site URL so I can take a look.
2) We are sorry but the font size and styles of the headers are different depending on the header size. When using Small and Large size of the header, the font will be italic. You may need to change the “Size” option under Overlap Options -> Title Area to “Medium” or “Full Screen” to display the normal font style.
However, if you would like to make the font of the Large and Small header normal too, you will need to add CSS snippet below to Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:

HI there, my customer has come back to me requesting a centred logo. We are sorry but this theme doesn’t support a centered logo. That CSS snippet was just an example, it might not work correctly with your website. You may need to change the width, margin-left and margin-right in the CSS to make it work with yours.

So I had a web developer look at the documentation for this theme and the WP Bakery is not updated. I can not change and edit the progress bar, headings, sliders etc. I don’t have access to it. Can you please make this update so I can use the theme?

The latest update of the theme includes WPBakery Page Builder 6.0.3. If you are using that version, you can normally use it and don’t need to update it. The new version will be added to the next update of the theme.
whats the install and set up with envato studio option? Cause I still can’t get my WordPress to look like the demo.
That service is from Envato Studio, not the theme’s author. They will install the theme and import demo content for you.

You will find the font name and link to download it in the Credits section in ‘Read Me First.html’ file when you extract the main zip file.
I got the theme to download but the media isn’t downloading when I go to import everything. And my old theme is still showing instead of the new overlap theme’s pages.
It can take several minutes to import all Media. However, some web hosting plans give you too little control and are very limited. Even you have increased the PHP limits already but it might not be able to complete the importing process. You may need to skip the Media option then select only Settings to import theme settings so you will have the home page and menu settings like the demo.
when i upload the demo content it says: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini. how do I get my theme to look like the demo so I can just edit with my own info and images

How to I have the theme take over so I can just fill in the blanks with my information? Right now it’s customized to my last theme and all the new pages and layout did not load for this theme. Hello, I’m struggling with the following:
My portfolio is spread over two pages, with different portfolio items on each page.

On the first one, the menu matches the items. On the second one, the menu does not match the items on the page. How do I adjust that?

Looks like the portfolio items on the second page do not have categories. You will need to set the Portfolio Categories for each portfolio item so you will be able to filter them using the categories filter (menu above portfolio items).
