There isn’t a built-in function for that, however you can attach the icon in a menu and use custom urls to point to your service (though not sure this is what you’re after).

Hi, in Journal 3 you’d have to create a different skin in Journal > Skins and then apply it in Journal > System > Settings…
Modules on the other hand are applied per layout in your particular store in Journal > Layouts > ....

I am trying to stop the slider appearing on all pages. I only want it to appear on the home page and then when someone selects a category / product, the slider disappears when that page is loaded. Can anyone tell me how to get this to happen please? At the moment, it is showing on every page which of course pushes the product information down screen

There seems to be an issue with setting a module to Admin-Only and OC3’s theme caching?
I have a module on my home page set to only show Out Of Stock products and this modules Status is set to Admin Only. But when I sign in, the only way I can get the module to show is if I go to the Dashboard and click the cog wheel at the top right and refresh the theme cache (despite the fact that I have theme caching set to OFF here). The problem then is, the module is now in the theme cache (despite the cache being switched to OFF) and it will now show for every visitor (I tested on other PC’s). The only way to get rid of the admin modules again is to clear the cache again and make sure you are logged out as admin before you refresh the front page.
Hi, admin only option has nothing to do with template cache in Opencart dashboard, that template cache option is caching twig views compilations, nothing else. Maybe your issue is related to some other caching extensions installed on your server, either way, since we’re not aware of such issue please file a ticket on our support page if you need help from our developers.

Hi, I’m afraid my support has long expired (though I never actually used it).
Forget what I said about the template cache. It seems to be hit and miss also.
I’ve tried this on a live server and localhost, and on a fresh install with no other mods. It’s been the same on all. When a module or menu item or whatever is set to Admin Only it will show to ALL visitors, that’s if you can get it to display at all! It usually takes a few minutes of clearing caches and maybe logging out and back in as admin to get it appear.

Hi, that shouldn’t be the case, closing the admin tab doesn’t mean you’re logged off, to actually test this use an incognito / private browsing or press the logoff button in admin area.

I’ve pressed the logout button, checked in incognito mode, cleared browser cache, cleared template cache, it still shows! Not only does it still show for admin after logging out, it shows for ALL visitors (I’ve got friends in other countries to verify this… lol!)
Incidentally, the little grid dimensions that show for admin when you hover over a div are working as they should and no longer show after you have logged out of admin.
It’s got me stumped. I’ve been through just about every line of your code and can’t find the culprit. The funny thing is, sometimes it does work. You can open up the page and the item will not be displayed and won’t display until you log in to admin (but then it shows for everybody and you can’t get rid of it again!).
I can hardcode an Admin Only position into the layout myself for what I need but it would be much handier if the Journal system worked.
To test it yourself just create a menu item in the Top Menu, set it to Admin Only, verify that it’s displaying, and then log out as admin and see if it’s till there. Or better still, ask someone else on a different PC to check.
