Hi there,

On this website: https://eventsoftwarebenelux.com/home-test/ You can see my subtitle is right next to the title. How to get this underneath it?

Best regards, Tes

Hey Tes,

add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

.row .col.section-title span {
    display: block;
}

Cheers

With the new update, can I finally show dates on the home page when the posts were published? The site is www.crafty.se

Not with that specific project style AlexanderMJ. It would require a small modification to the salient/includes/partials/blog/styles/masonru-auto-meta-overlaid-spaced/entry.php which could be kept in a child theme. The line that would need to be added is
<?php echo get_the_date(); ?>

Hi, Where we can translate the word “Read” in Link Mouse Indicator ? thanks

Hey CAPBCN, that string is contained within the salient-core text domain.

sorry, but I cannot find this “Read”contained within the salient-core text domain, exists Read more but not the “Read” in Link Mouse Indicator . Exists a php file to edit directly? thanks

Hey CAPBCN, I just did a test translation via say what to verify that it can be translated – Please open a ticket on our support forum in regards with temporary admin credentials so we can take a closer look into this: https://themenectar.ticksy.com

Thanks in advance

hello, is this side dot navigation like in this demo http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-app/#, also available for normal one page sites with sections/rows and anchor links?

hello thank you for the answer. but isn´t this the same, if I don´t make full screen rows and just “normal” rows of any height with anchor links? regards

PS: to explain: using this side pagination with dots for example on this demo site http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/page-submenu/ instead of the normal page submenu for the anchor links

Hey walter_MOD, The side pagination with dots is only available when using the fullscreen rows as shown in the salient-app demo you originally linked. For regular pages, there is only the option to do normal anchor based links from the navigation or page submenu element

There is a big issue with new “post preview” with categories filters, if you go to any category it is showing draft and scheduled posts too! It is a big deal, only way to avoid it is to make them private. Will you fix it in future? second thing is that you can set up this preview when you go to specific category, only older options, it would be nice to add it there too. Thank you

Have you updated to the latest version of the salient-core plugin? If so, please open a ticket on our support forum in regards with temporary admin credentials so we can take a closer look into this: https://themenectar.ticksy.com

Thanks in advance

now works!

Glad to hear Fixedman :)

could you tell me there is what the css which stopped be relevant in a new version of themes or same have changed?

body header#top nav>ul { height: 100%; } body.material input[type=text], body.material input[type=email], body.material input[type=tel], body.material textarea { border-color: #878787; box-shadow: 0px 0px 10px rgba(0,0,0,0.11); } .page-header-bg-image:after { position: absolute; top:0; left:0; width:100%; height: 100%; content: ’’; background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3); } .post-area.featured_img_left .post-content-wrap .grav-wrap { display: none; } .nectar-recent-posts-single_featured .grav-wrap > a, .nectar-recent-posts-single_featured .grav-wrap .text > span:first-child { display: none; } .nectar-recent-posts-single_featured .grav-wrap .text > span { display: none; } #sidebar .widget ul.nectar_widget[class=”nectar_blog_posts_”]>li .post-date { display: none; } body .testimonial_slider:not([data-style=”multiple_visible”]) blockquote { font-size: 16px; font-family: San Francisco; } .single-post.mobile #sidebar { display: none; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1000px) { body #slide-out-widget-area .inner .off-canvas-menu-container li a { font-size: 30px!important; line-height: 36px!important; } } body .portfolio-items[data-ps=”9”] .col p { display: none; }

Hey Nicko_217,

None of that looks outdated, are you experiencing issues with anything in particular?

No, no problems) Just do not want to load the extra CSS :) Could any of this been moved to the settings panel of the theme?

Hi, thank you for answering. Basically when I am trying out the page I’ve mentioned above on my iphones (iphone 8 plus ios version 13.1.2 and iphone XS ios version 13.1.2) what happens is that the image carousel does not respond to the swipe gesture and clicking on carousel indicators (I mean the small position lines/rectangles under the carousel) is the only way for me to see all the images. Could you check this out? I would really appreciate

Hey azzurro813, I just tested that URL on an iPhone X as well as the two models you mentioned via browserstack and have been able to swipe navigate on each one. Can you verify that you’re using Safari as well?

It doens’t work on Google Chrome.

Hello! Let me explain what makes all custom css related problems for users who complaining after updating to v11. Yes there are core changes of course, but as far as I see this is happening because PAGE custom css code from WPbakery builder not been loaded as a last in the list. Correct me guys if I am wrong!

Hey uldix!

Good catch – the custom CSS box built in to WPBakery page builder is a core feature and not something Salient modifies. v6 of the WPBakery was a major release which entailed refactoring much of the plugin, and likely when this change started. It looks like the plugin developers are already aware of this: https://ibb.co/FVwMt7y I’ll be including a fix for this in the first minor bugfix release for Salient v11 regardless.

Great, thanks! There are couple more small bugs in WPbakery for years now where is the best place to report them?

Hey uldix, if they are bugs related to the core of WPBakery, just let them know in their comments section.

Cheers

Hi guys! Wonderful update! I found a problem, since the update, in all the items that I have a single image in a full Width Content, it doesn’t work anymore (the images doesn’t fill the page in width)... how can I fix? tnx!

Hey DieMan_! Glad you’re enjoying it :)

Could you please share your page URL so I can take a look at the setup?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I can’t find a way to insert an image gallery like the “Full Width Masonry, 20px Spacing, Perspective Fade In, No Captions” one you have here:

http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/image-grid/

Can you help us out?

Thanks!

Hey apinzon!

Have you seen this page in the docs yet? http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/galleries/#imagegrid It covers the image grid styling within the image gallery.

Cheers

Good evening, I’m buyng a new sailent theme. I would like to create the web in several languages using different subdomains es.mydomain.com it.mydomain.com and so on. Should i buy a license for each of theme? i should translate in 4 languages at least

Hey dipagab, you can actually use one license for that. There’s no need to buy multiple licenses if all you’re doing is translating on subdomains :)

can lazy load method from theme together with the same functionality from the optimization plugin (WP Rocket) work?

Hey Nicko_217,

1. The new lazy load theme specific options should not interfere with global lazy loading from third party plugins/services

2. add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

.img-with-aniamtion-wrap[data-shadow*="depth"] .hover-wrap .img-with-animation {
    width: 100%;
}

thank you! its works)

You’re welcome Nicko_217

Hello,

As I’ve noticed other uses commenting; I too am having issues with CSS on custom classes no longer work after v11 update.

Mainly it’s with ‘boxed style’ columns.

Will there be an update fix for this, or will I be expected to update my 40+ page website?

Thanks

Hey markoshea, the new code relevant for changing the BG color of boxed columns would be:

.wpb_column.boxed.case_study > .vc_column-inner {
    background-color: #006b89;
}

This can be added into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab one time instead of keeping it in the custom CSS on each page

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn’t work :(

Hey, it looks like there is custom CSS before the snippet I provided you which is malformed, thus breaking the CSS below it. I’m seeing a couple of missing closing brackets in a few sections. Could you try removing other custom CSS or simply move the snippet I provided you to the very top so it’s unaffected?

Hi, gonna buy this theme but, I can’t see any option in discussions that is it possible to make porfolio grid as “blog material style” seems. Is it in theme options?

Hey hakanfidan, that would not be possible without some custom development at this time since the portfolio and blog elements have two different style sets.

Sad, any suggestion?

Hi Phil. Congrats on another awesome release! Really appreciate the hard work and continued effort on making Salient the best theme ever. Just had a few initial questions.

Regarding the “Engaging Team Section” template, is there a way to link to a page instead of the Bio modal? Our Bio pages are lengthy and include other elements, so the model design isn’t a good fit. If I could link to a page instead, that would be great. Alternatively, it would be nice to be able to add the zoom affect and link animation to other team elements.

Regarding the new Portfolio grid, is it possible to have the metadata (title, excerpt, etc.) appear below the image instead of an overlay? Our excerpts contain a few lines, so below the image would be better. Really like the design, but would like to display the content below and still retain the zoom and gradient affect. Thank you!

Thanks a lot joe88 :)

1. You can actually make a custom section like that by using the “Single image” element and a text block underneath, which could be linked to any destination. Since 11, the Single image element has the option for a hover effect exactly like the new team member style

2. Unfortunately, there is no option at this time of the initial introduction of the element, though I’ve noted your idea on the wishlist :)

Any plan to integrate elementor in the template, i use this theme for a long time, but this is a reason to change to other theme if you dont integrate it like a lot of themes are doing right now, just a suggestion …

Hey rhstemann, it’s possible that we will in the future, but as of now there’s no ETA on that

The recent posts element still does not include the option to include Sticky Posts in version v11. Will this ever be included?

Hey mrittman, it’s still an item on the wishlist, but as of now, I can’t give any ETA for it to be included in the core. However, the new Post Grid element in v11 does support sticky posts by default

Thanks for the info. I did see that the new Post Grid element does work with Sticky Posts. Is there any way to move the titles of each post to below the photos? When there are longer titles, it gets harder to read.

Hey mrittman, Unfortunately, there’s no option for that as of now with the initial launch of the element.

Hi since the update some of my CSS no longer works. The button on this contact form needs to have a border radius of 10px but I can’t seem to achieve this. Also the overlay on the column highlighted is covering over the text. https://ibb.co/drSdSjT http://79.170.40.173/ukchallange.co.uk/contact/

Hey MarcGarner,

1. Add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

body[data-button-style^="rounded"].ascend .container-wrap input[type="submit"] {
    border-radius: 10px!important;
}

2.

.wpb_column .wpb_wrapper {
 position:relative;
  z-index:2
}

3. There's an option called "Enable Fancy Select Styling" selected in the Salient options panel > form styling tab

Thanks, the only thing that didn’t work was the border radius on the button. http://79.170.40.173/ukchallange.co.uk/contact/

Hey MarcGarner,

Sorry about that – this one should work:

body[data-button-style^="rounded"].ascend #ajax-content-wrap .container-wrap input[type="submit"] {
    border-radius: 10px!important;
}

Cheers

Bug Fix: Column padding appears to be broken when upgrading to 11.0

Hey dcress, since the grid system in Salient has changed you’ll need to make sure that you’ve cleared the cache on your browser/server. If the old stylesheet is present, padding will appear off, If you’ve verified that it’s not a caching issue on your end, please share your page URL so I can take a look

Thanks in advance

Christmas came early! Congratulations on your update, it looks wonderful. Thanks for all your efforts in delivering yet again the best theme on Envato.

I’m happy to hear you’re digging it RollingSpoke! And thank you for the kind words :)
