Hello, I am planning on getting a directory theme for WordPress and I am really interested in Listify but i have a 2 important questions that are critical for my decision. I have looked in the documentation section in your website and couldn’t find an answer.
My listings will depend on location and the location goes Country >>> City then we have over 30 different categories of listings. Can i achieve listing search according to this and can visitors navigate the website accordingly as Country >>> Cities >>> listing categories >>> listing Archive >>> single listing, to view the selected entry.

In relation to your questions here, yes you can have searches based on location, but this will not be hierarchical (Country >>> City). A location can however have a city and country for example (Athens, Greece). As for the navigation, unfortunately that is not possible by default. What is possible is to have a search based on location and category, which will render the listings archive that matches the search filter. A user can then navigate to the single listings from the listings returned.

In relation to your question here, unfortunately this is not possible by default. It would require custom work done to the theme. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the resources to offer custom work right now. However, we are partnered with and highly recommend Envato Studio or Codeable If you need help customizing your theme.

Unfortunately this is not possible by default within Listify. At the moment, you can only have a view of the author profile, of which displays the listings asssociated with the author.

Hello, I also have the same problem as Jacob_Curtis et bosuch12 (second search), despite recent updates from Listify, WP job manager and WooCommerce. I see that your online demo, however, no longer has the problem. Other information: if you use the return function of the browser, the problem does not appear anymore. What can I do ? This issue seems to come from the WP Job Manager since the plugin is handling the filters form and listings results. Please try using WP Job Manager version 1.32.3 (https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/releases/tag/1.32.3) in the meantime.

Hello, I can not update the “Listing Labels for WP Job Manager” plugin, the error message is “Unauthorized”. When I check the licenses on the site Astoundify, the plugin appears “inactive”. What can I do ? Thanks a lot.
Please visit https://astoundify.com/account/plugin-licenses/ and click “Manage Sites” under your plugins’ license and add the domains you wish to authorize plugin updates for.
Once done, you will be able to update your plugin. Hope this helps!

2. Next question I have about searching posts. At homepage I have one search engine with location / categories / keywords and second search engine at the top of the homepage. Both of them are searching only listings. How can I search for posts on other pages, not listings?
3. I have also problem with translate words “Radius” and “Filter by label”. I’m using Say What Plugin, but those phrases I couldn’t find in .pot file. How I can translate it?

Hi, couple more questions, do you have the below features?
1. Announcement: that will appear on somewhere on every page and post 2. Events: that allow users to create events for their store/listing 3. Featured/priority listing: that certain listing will have priority over others to appear on category page or search result. 4. Instead of Review, can we make the section like a discussion section, whereby visitor can post questions to ask the store/listing owner, and everyone can view it. Just like this comment section on Themeforest.

In reference to the outlined questions:
1. This will really depend on how the announcement is generated. You can have a widget displaying the content or use a third-party addon to implement this.
2. Sorry, this is not possible within the theme.
3. Yes you can have featured listings in place. Here is an article on how to set featured listings: How does a listing get featured
4. There are no comments and reviews section on the listings pages, it will always default to reviews on the listing pages. The reviews feature is built over the Comments feature. You can only have the reviews feature out of the box.

Thanks for showing interest in the theme.
In reference to your question here, yes you can have such a setup using the theme, whereby the companies are the listings. You can also set a contact form as well as a booking within the listing pages. However, please note that charges are not applied in the contact form. You can however use a bookings widget to impose charges on various bookings within the listings. To implement bookings, you will need to separately purchase the WooCommerce Bookings plugin as well as the WP Job Manager Products plugin.

Hi John, thanks for the detailed response. It looks like the WooCommerce Booking plugin allows people to pay for an appointment e.g. pay for a hair cut in advance. I’m doing the opposite, I’m not charging the person who wants the hair cut, I’m charging the hairdresser for the potential customer that filled in the form.
The main requirement is for the the construction company to be charged for every lead they receive through the form. It would be free for anyone to fill in a form with their name, email, message etc but if a potential customer fills in the form, the construction company would be billed for the lead that came through the form.
Can you clarify if this is possible and if it is, how this could work? I don’t mind paying for additional customisation work if needed.

hello, pre-purchase question…
I understand that for the location and proximity slider to work like in the demo, I have to have FacetWP, correct?
Also, I want to use this for events that will be searchable by location, radius proximity, and end-date of the event (so that it will show nearby listings that are both upcoming and in progress).
First, can Listify with FacetWP handle that?
Secondly, when people add events (listings) they will of course need to enter a date range (start date and end date.) Is this something that can be added to the front end submission form and will be related to what FacetWP can search by?

In relation to your questions here, Listify does not have an event system built into the theme. The theme specifically supports directory listings. Events is not currently an option.
About the location and search radius, no you don’t need FacetWP to have these working.
You may be able to create new fields for your listings displaying a start and end date for a Listing using the WP Job Manager Field Editor plugin. This will allow you to pass the new fields information on your listing page. You can also have searches based on the location and the new date fields to the listings. However, the search radius is only applicabble to the Listing archive page not the front page.

Quick question: At the moment we are using WP Rentals as a program for our customers to rent holiday homes. But we, as site owners, receive the funds that the customer pays to confirm the booking. We’d like to see that the customer pays the funds using Woocommerce for instance directly to the home owner. Is it possible within this theme to direct funds directly to the home owner using the website as payment processor?
