Greetings. I wanted to buy this theme. I had the following questions before I do:
1. I really like the 3-column vertical thumbs mobile layout of the movies category page at: https://demo2.madrasthemes.com/vodi-demos/main/movies/ . Mobile visitors can see 12 thumbs in one shot so very less scrolling. It is really great. I have been searching for this for a long time. So I want to use this layout for my home page also. Is this possible?
2. Can I show this 3-column vertical thumbs layout for the “You may also like” and “We recommend” sections on every video post? Can I set the number of videos to be shown in each of these columns? What logic do they follow to show similar videos?
3. All my videos are portrait vertical videos .mp4 files. Will the posts show self-hosted vertical videos? I can’t find an example to check this as all videos are landscape youtube videos. I want to show a download link as well. Portrait videos are becoming so popular now on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and even on Youtube.
4. How will it embed my normal self-hosted html5 vertical videos? Will it use the html5 <video> code which I prefer as it works in all mobile browsers?
5. Is there a way I think the thumbnails directly to external links like the Link posts format in Wordpress? This will greatly help me to use this attractive front-end layout of this theme for urs other than videos too.
6. Is there a normal php or html template of this theme without the need to install Wordpress?
7. Can you please setup and send me the link and password to test the admin before i purchase please? I have sent an email to support with this request.

1. Yes, we can set movies page as home page in theme. We can assign Movies to Front page at Settings > Readings.
2. Yes, we can display the “You may also like” and “We recommend” sections on single page with custom CSS.
3. We can display self-hosted videos or embed videos from third party sites in theme. We have download option for self-hosted videos in theme.
4. We currently does not have option to display portrait video from theme.
5. We have option to add external link for video however it does not have option to open external link from archive/home pages. We have option to open external link from single page.
6. This is WordPress theme only. We does not have HTML template for Vodi.

1. The theme is built for WordPress and by default WordPress allows you to embed videos. Videos will be embedded using WordPress’s default video player. If you want advanced video players you can use any of the popular third-party plugins to embed videos.
2. The theme does not have feature to sell. You can use WooCommerce plugin for this purpose.
I recommend that you try this theme before purchase. Please email our support and we’ll setup a trial for you.

Hello, I have some pre-sale questions before deciding to buy the theme: 1. Does your theme provide the reports on the number of downloaded/ watched videos? 2. If I want to make a sale for each video separately can I insert a function in each detail product page? or can you suggest a third-party plugin that I can use for that?
To be more specific, for example, I want just to show the trailer on the product page (this part I want to track for the people who viewed it) and if someone wants to watch the full-movie they would need to pay for it in order to access the full movie (I need the “buy now” process to be here). 1. Our theme does not provide any reports. You’ll have to rely on Google Analytics or any other third-party plugins of your choice for the details.
2. Our theme does not have any purchase feature. You’ll have to rely on WooCommerce or WP Restrict Content Pro to allow your customer to purchase a video for viewing.

- You can create TV Shows and embed youtube videos in theme.
- We provided demo xml data with theme.
- When you import our dummy data you’ll have a website similar to this : https://demo.madrasthemes.com/vodi/ which has placeholder images instead of actual images. We do not have the right to distribute the images, we only have the right to use them commercially. Hence our dummy content will contain only placeholder images instead of actual images. Actual images take lot of time to import and usually breaks the importer causing error 500 and other issues. Also your website could be slapped with a DMCA notice in future if they find out about using copyrighted images. It is safer, better and faster to use placeholder images instead of actual images.
- Website setup is not part of our support policy. However we help all our customers one time with theme setup.
