I have two questions:
1-This theme still receiving updates and support? 2- How it would work with squared thumbnails? I have products that are in landscape also portrait, so to avoid croped cover images we use a squared thumbnail.

Yes, I was refering to product thumbnails. Is there any product in your demo with 1:1 ratio? Neither all themes are good to deal with squared images and I would like to see an example before.
You can check this product page as example – http://loremipsum.themerex.net/product/shattered-stripe-music-collection/
When setting 1:1 ratio, the images will be cropped into a square. If you want to keep the original ratio of products’ thumbnails, you will need to choose “Uncropped” ratio – in this case images will display using the aspect ratio in which they were uploaded.
If you plan to upload product images approximately similar in size, there will be no issues with 1:1 ratio.

I had installed the theme on my website
My server config: php_value max_execution_time 600 php_value memory_limit 512M php_value post_max_size 256M php_value upload_max_filesize 128M
But I am unable to install demo, So i uploaded the demo content as in the documentation on my theme folder and extracted the demo content in mywebsite.com/wp-content/themes/lorem-ipsum-books-media-store/ But demo is not working. Please tell me what is wrong in the process? Do I have to extract further, like home1, home2 etc? Please specify properly where to extract the demo contents properly? Thanks
