Hi guys Just updated WP to 5.3 and I get this message when I try to log in to my backend: “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” .... I noticed that the last update for Bodega was released on 23 August 19 and was compatible with WP 5.2 .. this might be the problem here?

Hello! I love this theme so much I purchased 2 licenses!
Anyway, we have updated the core files and downloaded the latest version of the theme but Updating the wordpress core & wp bakery plugin doesn’t break anything. But updating theme version breaks the website.

Hello. I just updated to 3.1, and the blog list now displays only in Standard layout. Changing the Archive and Category Layout option in Blog option does not change the layout. I tried clearing out the cache, etc., but it still does not reflect the change. Any suggestions?

The plugins that you got after the purchase are called bundled and we, as a theme authors, have purchased an extended licence for them. That means you don’t have to activate them and they’ll work for you regardless of that. When a plugin is updated, we will include the latest version of the bundled plugin with our next theme update. So you can easily update the bundled plugin when you next update your theme.

I’ve got an issue with your theme since some months. I can’t use anymore the Visual Composer on my website : https://rulhe.com
When I switch from classic mode to the back office editor with Visual Composer, it’s loading without the possibility to edit.
I’ve made some research of why it’s doing this and I’ve seen that my version on Visual Composer is 4.7 and the latest version is 6.01. The theme is updated to the latest version, it’s just Visual Composer that is not updated. I would like to know how can I update only Visual Composer.
Also I’ve tried to reinstall the latest update of Bodega theme in a staging site, I gave me the possibility to update the version but it breaks the website as you can see here : https://rulhe.com/test-plugin/
Do you have any recommendation to help me with that ?

From the link you provided I noticed that version of the Bodega theme that you are using is 1.6.1 and the latest version is 3.0.2 like shown in the theme changelog on this link https://themeforest.net/item/bodega-a-stylish-theme-for-small-businesses/10276763#item-description__update-log
Please download new theme files from your ThemeForest account and update your theme following instructions from this link https://demo.select-themes.com/bodega-documentation/#!/getting_started_updating_bodega
In order to finish update successfully please install core plugin from the Appearance > Install plugins page. This plugin is mandatory from the 3.0 version of the theme.
After theme update is finished you can also update WPBakery page builder by removing this plugin and install it again from the Appearance > Install plugins page.

Also you can add video as row background and set transparent header so the video is located behind the header.

I just tested bodega theme in my local installation and all the content including sliders is present. Please make sure that you have installed core plugin after the update from the appearance > install plugins page. Due to the recent themeforest rules and coding standards we changed a lot of things so the installation of the core plugin is required.
Also if the issue persists please get in touch with our support at http://select.ticksy.com and provide necessary info for the wp admin access.

HELP! Just updated and my logo is missing, slider missing, portfolio slider missing, and other items missing. I installed the BODEGA Core plugin and it didnt change anything???? Ive restored the site for now. But I am now using an out of date version and im very concerned now about updating. It seems that anything with a css effect or rotating/sliding element wouldn’t display on the site. Also the logo didn’t show.
How can i possibly keep my site up to date using your updates if i know this will happen. I will have to in fact purchase support just so i can use your own provided updates which i know will break the site and then wait for you to look at it.

Now that i have restored the site to the previous version those errors have disappeared.

I tried installing the update again, and got the same result. I just wanted to point out that in the settings for “ELEMENTS” the BACK TO TOP section is labelled “esc_html__( ‘Back to Top’, ‘bodega’ ) Link Button”
that seems strange. I’m guessing there are some errors with your update. I still have no logo, no scrolling/rotating or sliding elements and my site is basically broken just from installing your Update and new Core Plugin.
I tried my best to follow the errors that showed up in the Error Console (i entered passpartout width, and Element Appear number etc etc) but it didn’t do anything.
I sincerely hope someone answers this soon. I’m losing faith in SELECT who have always been so fantastic up until now. Come on fellas, give us an answer please. This update is long overdue and its broken my site !

This looks like that you have updated theme files improperly. Please try to connect to your hosting account with FTP client and delete both the theme and core plugin. Then download latest theme version one more time and install it like you usually do. Upon theme activation install all plugins required by the theme and navigate to theme options and hit save changes. This is one of our older themes and update contain a lot of changes, and in this way you will make sure that you have clean installation with all the files which need to be present. This won’t affect your content since it is stored within the WordPress database.
In case that you still have problems with the update after following these steps then please contact us at support@select-themes.com and provide all necessary info there along with WordPress and FTP admin access.

AH! I am using the Envato Plugin To update my theme and have done that for a couple of years.
So I simply need to do a manual update via FTP because there are some major changes to files and structure. That makes sense.

I Followed your instruction and the site was worse than before 
The same issue occurred with a manual update of the theme (Delete old bodega, upload new folder, then install Core Plugin)
This time all the rotating, sliding, css effect elements were missing AND the fonts all changed to Raleway.
I have restored my site to the last version and emailed you directly with my details. Hopefully you can resolve this horrible issue for me.

This breaks the site and changes all the fonts to Raleway.

Because of latest coding standards change, we have to reposition some of the theme functionality to core plugin which is now part of the theme. Suddenly when I click the logo to go to the homepage, this doesnt redirect to the homepage, and it breaks all the menubar links as well.
