Hello, thank you for designing the theme, it has a lot of the elements I need to design my business website. I recently purchased it but I’m having issues formatting and editing. I can’t find where to change the colors (default is red), I also can’t find how to change the front page to the various templates displayed in the live demo. I save options on theme options, but when I go to the site I don’t see the changes. There is a top blue bar that appears (on theme options) that states to change the template page to one of choice when I go to Settings -> Reading, but I do not have that option on my WP dashboard, i.e. there’s no option on Reading that allows me to select a page template. Please let me know how I can actually customize the theme to choose my colors of choice and insert my page templates of choice, and choose the layout I want based on the options from the live demo. Also, is it possible for me to change the font, if so, how? Thank you.

Pre purchase question. I clicked on the “Ask Question” button and it told me I didn’t have enough points. I dont want ppl answering questions and having to earn points. I only want a site where people have to sign up to get access to the information I am offering. I also want to know if there is a way to track what they are doing?

There is option available in the admin panel to switch “ON” or “OFF” the points system. If you switch the points system “OFF”, people won’t need to have any points to ask questions.

Pre purchase question. I am building and information site for real estate and want to know if this would work. I want them to have to sign up to look through knowledge base and ask questions when they cant find them. will this theme work for that?

This theme has option to make it available only for logged in users. So, if you want your users to sign up to look through knowledge base, you can do that.
Users can ask questions of course. This is one of the core feature of InfoCenter theme. In the live demo you can see how asking questions work. Users will have a page like this when they need to ask questions.

Can i chat to them within their login area? also can I put links and files and info inside their dashboard?

I want to be able to answer them and have maybe links to pages or sites and or maybe buttons at the bottom of the response to let them click to direct them to other sites or pages on the site

Yes, you can answer to any of their questions with links to pages or sites. Adding buttons in the answer might be possible only if you know how to make a button using html/css.

We provided a few different layouts/variations in the Live Preview. You can make your site like any of them, OR you can remove sections which you do not need. You cannot do that which is not there in the Live Preview.

Also, I would like the user posting the questions (issues) be able to upload files of up to 500MB to us. Would this be possible?

1. Yes, the questions can be private. Option is there in the admin panel for this.
2. It depends on your Hosting Server. If your server allows you to upload 500MB files, it is possible.

Hello,
We are facing some issues on the website.
Issues: 1. When a user posts a new question an email is not received to the admin. 2. Also when somebody comments on the question an email is recieved for the first time then onwards the emails are not recieved to the user. 3. Also everybody cannot comment once a question is posted, it should be open to the public to comment and try to answer.

Can we integrate math latex editor? We will be using the Q&A template to ask maths related questions. If maths latex editor is not supported can a image be posted instead here?

We never tried math latex editor with InfoCenter theme, so we are not sure if you can integrate math latex editor or not. Images are not allowed in the questions in order to make the question pages faster and user friendly.

I want to do the following with this theme. Please let me know if it’s possible.
1. Allow for quick authentication and account set up via Facebook Auth. 2. Allow users to opt into my mailing list when they post a question. 3. Pass a variable to Active Campaign when a user asks a question (have them select an option from a custom drop down)
2 and 3. I could do with Gravity forms, if, I am able to use Gravity forms in place of your themes standard question form.

Hi, I informed you to renew the support license, because if you contacted the support team after renewing the license they would do (for a minimum fees) whatever needs to be done to implement the features you want. However, I asked the support team and they informed me that the 1st one can be done using a free 3rd party plugin, and the 2nd and 3rd one needs theme customization.

Does this theme use custom post types to handle the questions? If so, is there an easy way to make it use the standard WP post types? The concern is that if wanting to change themes later, or if you stop supporting this theme like many authors on Themeforest, all questions will be lost when changing themes. Right?

Yes, this theme uses custom post types to handle the questions. Theme files editing/updating is necessary to convert the custom post types to WP standard post types. Our team does this for customers for only $40 fee.

Thanks for the answer. After visiting the demo site a lot, I think there is one major thing missing: the search is only on the home page. There is no search bar on any other page, so people have to go back to the homepage for new searches. It would make sense to have a search option everywhere since this is really a search driven theme.

No, there is no HTML version of InfoCenter. This is WordPress theme only.

I want a theme like this that focuses on search, with a few small buttons below it linking to other parts of the site. I want the search to use the Google CSE which allows the user to search my forum/wiki. Is it possible to modify this theme to use GCSE? Thanks.

Hi, FB login feature is not available yet. We will mention in the theme details page if that feature is available in future updates of the theme. Right now, you may need to use external plugin like this to have the FB login feature.

Also the comment box (.comment #respond) width getting reduced, when you answer comments. Any fix for this?
