I bought your theme at Version 1.4.5 – 2018-09-17
And now i’m searching for an update for the mobile menu (at this version it moves to right) and i have seen that now it moves to down and it’s easy for the people to navegate.
Do I have to change to last version or is an option in configuration?
Another qestion is about the mansory at portfolio, usually the first gallery link is showed as portrait, but the featured image is a landscape and has no sense what the visitor is seeing. Can you tell me something about it.

2) We are sorry but the masonry portfolio is a predefined layout. It always displays the portfolio images in the fixed layout as seen in our demo: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/portfolios/portfolio-standard-masonry/
If it is not suitable for your images, you may need to use other layouts such as Overlap and Grid instead.
How do I get rid of the hamburger buttons at the right side of the menu. When I click on it, I get a screen that reads “purchase now”. It appears that my purchase is not recognized after I installed and downloaded the theme?
That is included in the sliding bar widgets, you can edit and remove it under Appearance -> Widgets. Select the “Sliding Bar” section, then remove the Text widget.

I am very happy about your theme. So many things works smooth
But I have got a challenge: Is there a simple way to control the headerimage on archieve/categorypages?
For now it only shows a ‘black box’, while on ordinary pages I can control the image with the ‘featured image’ option.
I have been looking in vain in the backend to find a way to control it. Is there something I am missing here?

You can set the header image on archive/category pages in Theme Options -> Title Area -> Background Image.

I was trying to find a way to individualize it, so the header-img is unique per category-archive page, and per page. Is that possible?
... and BTW: Is there a way to translate the ‘Continue Reading’ that appears on the button on the archieve-pages, to my own language?
Sure, you can translate the theme to another language using POEdit. You can find the instructions in the documentation: https://wydethemes.com/overlap/documentation/
Also, you can install the Loco Translate plugin on your site so you can translate the theme directly from your WordPress admin page.

I have been using the theme and I am currently having some issues with the portfolio. I have created the portfolios and created a portfolio grid on the homepage, however when you click on each one it takes you to the 404 page not found page and I don’t know why this is happening.

This is most likely a WordPress permalink issue. Try to clear the permalink caches to see if it works. Navigate to Settings -> Permalinks, then click on the “Save Changes” button to clear the permalink caches.

Hello Wyde. When i try to modify “Overlap Options” on a single page, they don’t change. I am changing layout from BOXED to WIDE, after saving it’s still BOXED. Or Title area changed from HIDE to SHOW and gave a site name, after saving it’s HIDE again… What can i do to solve it? Thank you.
It sounds like that this is a caching issue. If you have a caching plugin, you may need to purge the database caches after updating the page or try to deactivate the caching plugin to see if it works.

Hello, first of all I wanted to apologize for my English and the long comment.
I want to upgrade my website to the latest overlap theme version because of the fixed bug about “Portfolio image link on mobile” on the live server. I first tried it on my localhost server, but an error has occurred (something with a function on the plugin wyde-core). I got a warning located on the top of my frontend and backend. The site was broken and the wordpress doesn’t work properly. I was looking for a solution to the issue, but I didn’t find anything especific to solve the problem. So I decided to comment the function out and everything comes back to the normal. The site on the localhost was running ok and the wordpress also works again fajn. Please! My question is: is this step “to make the function as a comment” ok? or is there another way how to solve the issue? is that function on the plugin to be used for another purpose?. I am little afraid when I have to upgrade the theme on the live server. Thank you very much for all of your advices.

It sounds like your plugins folder is not writable so the Redux Framework plugin couldn’t write and update the file inside its folder. You may need to set the permission to the folder “wp-content” (and subdirectories) on your web server to be writable to fix this issue. You can find more details on changing file permission for WordPress here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-file-permissions/#permission-scheme-for-wordpress
If it still doesn’t work, try to go to your wp-content/uploads folder and create a new folder named ‘redux’. And then change the folder permission to be writable to see if it works.
Hello Wyde. Odd question before buying: I already bought the theme on another website offering “original versions without any support” for discount prices – to try it before buy it official. I really like this theme a lot, so i am going to buy official one. I know what “no support” means, but my question is pretty easy to answer:
I get only errors when trying to import any demo content, so it fails everys time. My webspace fulfills and partially exceeds php requirements of the theme, as stated in the documentary.
I already asked my webspace provider to check this issue, waiting for an answer.
So will i have the same problem, when buying official here on themeforest? I really need to make sure import of demo content will work BEFORE buying, otherwise it’s useless to me.
Can you import EVERY demo, one after another, or do you have to chose just one? Would love to have it exactly like your demo pages, so i can easily access every demo and follow ALL of your design ideas.

If you purchase or download it from another website, it is not ours. It is an illegal copy of the theme (software piracy) and might not be safe to install.
Anyway, after you import demo content you will receive all demos and will have everything exactly like our demo site so you can easily access every single demo to see how we built it.
We would be grateful if you could purchase a licensed copy of the theme directly from ThemeForest.

For now i just imported the demo content for Creative Agency demo. Can i move on importing all other demos one after another, or will this destroy site and menu structure? I am wondering how i will get the startpage, listing all the demos, to chose from.

When you import demo content for the Creative Agency demo, you will receive all pages, posts and other content types of other demos too. You don’t need to import them again.
If you’d like to change the home page and settings to another demo. You can select only Settings and Sliders, then click on a thumbnail of that demo so your home page and site settings will be changed.
Also, you can find the demo home pages under the ‘Pages’ screen in your WordPress admin. They start with ‘Home -’, for instance, ‘Home – Creative Agency’.

You can change the font styles of the buttons in Theme Options -> Typography -> Buttons and Link Buttons.
Good morning! Is there any news about the compatibility of the theme with woocommerce 3.9.1?
Please don’t worry, you can update WooCommerce and can normally use the theme with the latest version (3.9.1).
Our demo site is also using the latest update of WooCommerce plugin and it is working properly.
If there is a notification message regarding the outdated copies of WooCommerce template files. It is just a warning message, you can ignore it.
Anyway, we will update the template files in the next update of the theme.

When I go to my home page (www.textandonlinecounseling.com) for some reason the page scrolls towards the end of the page (near the counter boxes). It does not stay at the top of the home page. Please help.

Please ensure that the link doesn’t contain any hash sign (#). If it does, for instance textandonlinecounseling.com/#questions, in this case it will scroll down to the FAQs section.

On the “Creative Agency” demo home page, there are four info boxes with a bit of movement/animation. However, on my page (www.textandonlinecounseling.com) the info boxes have no movement at all. How can I add this feature?

Hi Jessica! You need to change the “Icon Size” for those info boxes to “Large” to have animation when you hover on them.

Here are the instructions on how to display the column in reverse order on mobile device so the text “My forte” will show up before the information in that section.
1. Edit the Row Settings.
2. Select the “Responsive Options” tab.
3. Select the “Reverse order” option for Tablet and Mobile devices.
4. Save changes.

1) On desktop for this site https://www.barbaraetzkorn.com when I click a portfolio item I go to a post that shows multiple images and a title at the end when you scroll. Can I remove that title? 2).When I go to mobile and I am on the home page and the portfolio images are showing-when I touch the image it does not go to the post page—only when I hit the black title name. Can I make that image link to the post? (I’d love to remove the text name if possible on mobile too) but right now it is the only way to link to the post. Please advise. Thank you

1) You may need to add CSS snippet below into Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to remove the portfolio title:

2) This issue has been fixed in the next update of the theme that will be released in a few days so you can touch the image to see the post details.
Also, after you update to the new version if you’d like to remove the portfolio title, you will need to add the following CSS snippet into Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS:

Hello. I wanted to have the portfolio image be clickable on mobile, not remove the post title. I still have not seen any updates with the theme? Can yon send a new fix so that when someone is on mobile they are able to click on the image—not just the post title?

To fix this issue, you will need to edit the portfolio template file “wp-content/themes/overlap/templates/portfolio/content.php” on your web server.

Thank you for that code. The images are finally clickable on mobile. In a question above I asked how to remove the title below the portfolio image on mobile and you sent me this code. .single-wyde_portfolio .post-title { display: none; } This removes the title from the post header and does nothing to mobile. Can you please sent some fix to not have the title of the portfolio item NOT show up on mobile—it looks clunky.

How do I control the order of the portfolio posts on this site?https://www.barbaraetzkorn.com/ I have given each post a different date in November ordered 1-9 and that didn’t work? I don’t see anywhere on the post to give them an order?
By default, all posts including portfolio posts are ordered based on the date. If you changed the post date but it didn’t work. Try checking the cache plugin on your site. You will need to clear the database caches after updating the posts.
However, if you would like to re-order posts but don’t want to change their publish dates, then you will need to install the Post Types Order plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/
Also, you can change the portfolio posts order option to another instead of the date. You can change it under the Custom Posts option in the Portfolio Grid Settings. Click on “Build query” button so you can change the “Order by” option.

My menu item hover color seems to be connected with the color of the overlay on the portfolio items. If I change it to black then the portfolio rollovers are black and that would hide the titles since they are black. Also, is there a way to turn on and off the title and category on the portfolio rollover?
We are sorry but both of them will be changed to the same as the theme color scheme when hovering. Instead of turning on or off the title and category, you can change the portfolio hover effect to another so the overlay color will not change to the same as the menu item color.
