After the new Zeen update and Lets Review update the stars in the category section are appearing broken.
You can see here: https://durmonski.com/category/book-summaries/I believe it’s related to the following part of your changelog from today:
“Let’s Review star reviews will now show stars outside of post.”
Can you please check that?

HTML will work in the top bar message bar from the next update (v3.3.1), so you’ll be able to bold/italic text with simple html – thanks for the suggestion. And a new button option will be looked into too, thanks again.

Hi! I’m attempting to add the Subscribe row as seen in the Fashion/Volar home page template. (2 columns, subscribe on left and mag cover on right) I need to add a solid background color, but I can’t modify the option for the column block. I can’t find any documentation either. Please help. Also, how do I create/delete a sidebar within Tipi Builder? Thanks

Hello. I am trying to edit with Tipi builder on the homepage. But everytime I clicked on it, the screen said “Loading”..? What’s going on? It worked a week ago and now it’s not working anymore. Could you please help me fix this issue? Thank you.

I’m sorry to hear that, but if it was working before, then it means something else changed in the site that is causing the problem. Have you installed any new plugins perhaps? Try disabling all plugins to see if that helps. If it doesn’t help, please open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and include all the info so the support team can investigate the cause.

Thank you for your reply. I haven’t installed any new plugin. I tried to use tipi builder with new page, it also shows on the screen “LOADING”.

You’re welcome! But if it worked a week ago, then something definitely has change don your site – this definitely isn’t a theme issue though as the builder is working fine for other users (And also on the development/demo sites), so if you can’t fix this (try disabling plugins) you will indeed need to open a ticket as it is a isolated issue on your site only, and the support team will need to investigate in your site to be able to help.

Just wondering whether:
+ You’ve tested this theme with any directory and/or listings plugins. It is imperative that we can include a simple directory (image, blurb, contacts, link to) within our magazine. Alternatively does the theme’s functionality enable our creating one without an additional plugin.
+ You can have a post open externally (new window), to another website? Without the need of a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/.

1- We sent you an email about this, but I’ll copy/paste the answer here again -The theme hasn’t been tested with any directory plugins, but do you have a site set up already with such a plugin? Because if you do, let me know the name of the plugin and I can check it out, and I can then hopefully give you a more accurate answer.
2- WordPress theme best practise means that normal internal posts don’t open in a new tab, to do that you would indeed need a plugin of sorts, but that’s the type of thing plugins are exactly there for

Last year I report problem about Let’s Review loaded all tag (or many information) and break Tipi builder to start.
Now I use Zeen version 3.2 and Let’s Review 3.1 a problem still persist but only when I launch Tipi Builder it can’t load (and Tipi Builder is work fine when I disable Let’s Review) but plugin is work fine on frontend and backend.

That’s interesting, I think a patch was done in a theme update last year and no one else ever reported the issue again so we thought it was permanently fixed. If you have everything up to date, and disable all other plugins except Let’s Review + Zeen Engine and it still does it, – can you open a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com + say “Please forward to Chris” + include admin login details so he can investigate it for you (he’s the only one who can get to the bottom of it )

P.s A new update for Let’s Review will be included in the next Zeen update, and it changes the posts/tags option in the Let’s Review widget to normal inputs, this will give a big boost to performance to any sites with thousands of tags/posts, so I wonder if this also helps you. Do let me know

Themes don’t control/set favicons, that is a core WordPress feature and you set it in Appearance > Site Identity > Site Icon

Hi Codetipi, yes I did that but it doesn’t work in the Google’s search results. We have a double call of <link rel=’icon’... with two different format 
So it seems to be weird for Google
Ah I see, in that case you need to look at your plugins in case another one is doing (perhaps SEO Yoast?), as this is 100% nothing to do with Zeen (the theme does not output <link rel=”icon” anywhere), so I’m afraid there isn’t anything I or the theme can do to help.

That’s an interesting one! Do you have an account with shopstyle Collective already? If so, what exactly would you do with it – Is it just adding embeds they give you to your article’s content? Have you tested it on the default WordPress theme (TwentyNineteen)?
The goal of Zeen is to be extra flexible, so without knowing more, I think it should work fine, however, as systems like shopstyle collective are definitely desirable and useful for some users, if it didn’t work with the theme and it was because the theme required extra code/integration for the system, it would definitely be looked at.

You’re welcome And sounds good, try it there first because as Zeen is coded following best WordPress coding practises, that means that if it works on the default theme, then it will also work in Zeen.
If it doesn’t, then share more info about what you did, as it might still work in Zeen.
Can I enable “Reading Mode” button in mobile site? now in desktop site, I have Reading Mode button but I can’t find way to enable it on mobile site.

You probably know already, but in case someone else has the same question – Yes, all demos support sidebars. You just need to select a layout option with a sidebar.
You can have 2 sidebars on the homepage if you use the Tipi Builder, you can add sidebars anywhere you want

You change it in the theme options, you start by setting the global accent color in the Global Options panel. Then for things like the footer background, you would go into the Footer section and change it there.

Yes, you can edit the homepage with the Tipi Builder and then add a custom code block anywhere on the homepage and paste your shortcode into it.

Are you using the same header design as the Minimal demo? If so, you go to the Theme options > Header > Header Base & Logo and enable the sticky functionality. Then enable the Show Current Post In Sticky Menu + Reading Mode options.

That is an AMP error (only affects the relevant amp post), and it sounds like you have an image in your post that doesn’t have a src set (sounds like a broken image). Edit the relevant post and look through it to make sure it’s all good.

Yeah, I’ve added Unsplash suggestion to the development list so it definitely happen in a theme update eventually
Regarding the underline, instead of ’.entry-content a’, try using ’.link-color-wrap a’ as that will target all the relevant links and might be why your custom css isn’t showing correctly at the moment.

That will not apply to lightbox links (clickable images) and won’t affect inline post either.

Thank you for a great theme! It’s working perfectly fine. I have 2 questions though.
After last update, there’s no possibility to display the social sharing icons in post just on “Start Of Article”. When this option is checked, it appears also “Below Title”, despite I left “Below Title” unchecked. When I unchecked “Start Of Article” it disappear from both places. Is it a bug? Or am I missing somthing?

Since last update, there is a Problem with the class ”.hero” at posts. A max-height: 600px will crop all our Images. We fixed this with jquery.

Hello, after last update my Social Icons Block shows a lot of icons even if I’ve selected only three to be displayed (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Inside the Tipibuilder and Zeen Options page it seems ok (only three icons) but on the live site it’s not. I’ve tried to replace previous block with another but it’s the same. I’ve tried to clear the cache too. Many thanks in advance.

Ah yes, the new icons code had a little typo that meant they weren’t being checked if they were enabled or not. This has been fixed and will be included in a new update that will be released today

Happy New year 2020! Thanks again to keep on bringing some fresh and new options for the theme. Still using Zeen and customizing a lot -> http://trendland.com Don’t have support anymore but wanted to give you few feedbacks on your left/right header column menu:
a) a small bug where the submenus were hidden in the columns – fixed it with .secondary-wrap-v {overflow: visible;}
b) You probably created it more for having a simpler menu, fine – But where is the option for the slide-in menu then ? Didnt found where to activate it when you have the column header – Would be great to also have it available.
c) Would awesome to have the Arrow option as well, so you can slide-in the left menu/header (the logo stays) – Similar to https://futurism.com
So to recap, 1 small bug when sub-menus are activated, The option to activate the extra slide-in menu with this header, and a change request to make the left header disappear.

Site’s looking really slick, great job!
a) Will be looked into, I think there was a reason the overflow was hidden, will investigate and implement changes so submenus appear too.
b) You can enable the slide menu in the secondary menu theme options, it will appear next to the social icons.
c) That could well be possible (already done in the Tipi Builder), so will look into it. Main issue that needs to be overcome would be if you use white logo! Thanks for the suggestion.
P.s one tiny tip I’d suggest is that you give your image block logo at the top of the homepage a retina version too, as it won’t look sharp on retina screens without that.

To create links for categories, at the moment you can do it with the Image block in a columns block (that’s how the ones here were done: https://demos.codetipi.com/zeen-juliet/ )
A dedicated category grid block will be added in a future update though.
Regarding the dark/light on mobile, that will also be added in a future update
