Hi, we are not aware of such issue, we’d need to take a look at your setup to replicate on your end and try to assess what’s causing it. Please file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this.

Best Regards.

Hi, may I ask you please if you have any updates in your plans when you will release a wordpress theme ?

Hi, we can’t say that we are planning on a Wordpress theme at this time unfortunately.

Best Regards.

Ok thank you

is there a chance of getting paypal express working yet?

Hi, this is not something on our side. Paypal has changed the way the confirm button works – they moved it in an iframe, which means there’s no access to it anymore.

Any single-step or one-page checkouts are affected, until Paypal changes this behaviour no other such checkouts will work, as far as we know. You can consult with other Opencart one-page checkout extension developers and see what they say, everyone is in the same boat.

But there are two checkouts available in Journal, the default multi-step based one works perfectly fine and can be used in this case.

Best Regards.

Hi, is there a possibility that you can make a “distraction free checkout” option in journal checkout? Distraction free carts in checkout seem to work better with lead sales, as customers stay on the checkout page without being distracted by header and footer links.

Hi, that is possible, you can customize the checkout layout, by removing the header and footer or creating custom ones and apply them on that layout.

We’ll have a video covering this exact example coming out by the end of the month.

Best Regards.

Hi , Is there a way to clean up the blog comments easier then deleting them one by one.

Thank you

And also in the comments form is it possible to make an upload field for photos?

Hi, you can bulk delete them from the database, there currently isn’t an admin option for that. Also custom fields are not possible in the comment form.

Best Regards.

215/5000 They could add a search bar visible in the scroll header in theme n. 9? See image ex: https://snipboard.io/h8rgjy.jpg thanks my friends

But I can’t use the 9 header with the 3 scroll bar. I want the header of demo 9 is better, but to use the search bar in the scroll I will have to use another header, correct, I want demo 9 to the top.

can i mix this way? when to roll the demo 3?

https://snipboard.io/Oqm5Az.jpg

Hi, sadly no, the headers are different and can only be used one at a time on a page. So you have to choose either the Mega or Classic.

Best Regards.

Some ideas for future updates.

1. Ability to disable product available options push button on mobile. (Because mobile doesn’t show tool tip like desktop.)

2. Ability to disable image from mobile and have text only. (You can do it for both from the Opencart options, by deleting the image, but it will delete for both mobile and desktop, it would be nice to choose.

3. Choose quantity for the available options, there is third party extentions, but none of them work properly with journal.

4. Be able to always force desktop mode on tablet, most tablets are big enough and high enough res to not need mobile mode by default. (Obvioulsy the user can do it from their own browser, but it would be best if it just shows the desktop version without them having to enable the browser option.) Possibly this could be done by the .htaccess file?

Hi, we can’t confirm any of these at this time, unfortunately.

Best Regards.

Hello. Is it possible to add description on brands page?

Hi, Opencart doesn’t seem to have this option and neither can manufacturers have a custom layout. For more information on this behaviour please refer to the official Opencart forum at forum .

Best Regards.

After updating to version 3.0.45 (OC 2.3)

Thanks! We wait

Changelog NO?

Please check again.

After updating to 3.0.45, the search doesn’t work properly for ver #3 (https://www.journal-theme.com/3/) on my website. I can’t disable “Categories”. I try to disable it (moving status to “off”), but it still displays on my website. Also, in the search-placeholder display the default text. I edited it, but it still the default on the site. Can you check it by changing the status to “off” (screenshot: https://prnt.sc/qpj4la) and edit the text in the placeholder. And please let us know if it works. I don’t know what to do with it.

The search doesn’t work properly for demo 3 only. For other work well.

Hi, this has been fixed in our next update coming very shortly.

Thanks!

My product price reverts to zero instead of displaying the correct price and allows customers to check out with 0 as the product price. Additionally, even when it manages to display the correct price, when I click on “add to cart” it says “error, undefined”. Please help!

Hi, we are not aware of such issue, please make sure everything works fine when using the default Opencart theme first and then please file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this. Best Regards.

After upgrading to 3.0.45, quickview ignore the page split ratio set to 50%. I’ve checked Journal > Styles > Quickview > [Active Style] > General > Page Split Ratio and it set to 50%, but I get 100% on the frontend. Is this a bug?

I checked your demo website number 9, it is still running on 3.0.44. Please update it to the latest version in order to confirm the bug. I’m sure this is a bug that should be addressed as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

Hi, we’ll look into it and we’ll provide a fix if needed asap.

Best Regards.

Quickview settings seem to be ignored on on 3.0.45 upgrade. I had a 50/50 split, with add to basket etc on the footer of the popup similar to the demo, now its changed to 100% view and buttons within the content of the popup.

Hi, that depends on the breakpoint you have set up on the page split option in Journal > Styles > Quickview > [Active Style] > General > Page Split… should be 100% on a breakpoint smaller than your popup width.

Best Regards.

It’s ignoring the settings, (which I’ve not changed). Fixes when downgrade back to 3.0.44, I never used breakpoints for the quickview as I only have it enabled for desktop. Not just for split, but for the colours, position of the buttons etc.

We’ll look into it and we’ll provide a fix if needed asap.

Best Regards.

Hi, we’ll provide a fix for this issue in our next update coming very soon.

Best Regards.

Hello, after updating the theme to 3.0.46 the layouts have changed. Can you tell me how I can roll back to 3.0.44. Everything was fine with that version?

Hi, can you please provide more details about what you mean? You can roll back to a previous version only by having that version on hand. You should keep each version somewhere for future reference.

Please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers about your layouts, they’ll also give you a previous version if you wish.

Best Regards.

oc3032 installed on my site I did. There was a large gap at the top of the page. My installed website is ruined. My working website has become a disaster. I sent you tickets. I need help very urgently. I can’t fix the problem. It has nothing to do with the existing demo, it’s not even similar. I did a zero installation. But it didn’t happen again. This version was disastrous for me.

Hi, we have responded to your ticket.

Best Regards.

Getting this error whenever I click on a blog post?! Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve tried OC 2.3x and Journal 2.3x and also OC 3x + Journals 3x. I get the same error each time.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function getBlogPostLayoutId() on null in /catalog/model/journal3/layout.php:84 Stack trace: #0 /system/storage/modification/system/engine/loader.php(256): ModelJournal3Layout->getCurrentLayoutId() #1 /system/engine/proxy.php(47): Loader->{closure}(Array, Array) #2 /catalog/controller/journal3/layout.php(317): Proxy->__call('getCurrentLayou...', Array) #3 /system/storage/modification/system/engine/action.php(79): ControllerJournal3Layout->header_desktop(Array) #4 /system/storage/modification/system/engine/loader.php(51): Action->execute(Object(Registry), Array) #5 /catalog/controller/journal3/settings.php(138): Loader->controller('journal3/layout...') #6 /system/storage/modification/system/engine/action.php(79): Contr in /catalog/model/journal3/layout.php on line 84

Thank you in advance.

Hi, if you have previously used Journal 2, you must remove system/da_journal2.ocmod.xml and then refresh Opencart modifications otherwise features like blog may not work in Journal 3.

Best Regards.

Hi, the new update is awesome! Thanks a lot for the new features. I do have a question though. Product prices change upon loggin in. I want people to see prices including VAT when logged in. Right now when client log in the prices are shown excluded VAT. How do I change this? I don’t want the prices change when logged in.

Hi, that doesn’t seem like a theme related question, we don’t handle the taxes theme-side, please ask for more information about this on Opencart forums at http://forum.opencart.com

Best Regards.

Hello. Yesterday i update my template to v3.0.45 but i have a issue. In Checkout when i complete my order i have this error “Total mismatch, page will reload.” when the page reload i do my order normal.

Hi, we’re not aware of this and can’t replicate, please file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this.

Best Regards.

It’s awesome to see today’s update. A few features added that I didn’t know we needed! Having the ability to show stock on the grid/list will be so helpful for our customers because we do inventory some products that can get in limited supply at times. Thank you for providing the BEST for Open Cart!

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it!
