Can anyone remind me where I can change the image that appears as a thumbnail when you copy and paste the url? I do not want the BLACK image with just a podcast mic, I want to change to another and I cannot do it for the life of me. Hello. Looks like an awesome theme but I have a question.
If I’m hosting the podcast with a site like Anchor, how does the automatic import feature work? I’ve read all the other comments but still am not completely sure. Does it import it as a draft, or does it automatically publish the episode? If there is no episode image, or other attributes, I’d like to be able to edit it on the backend before pressing publish.

Hi, thank you for your interest and kind words. The theme’s import tool can be set to work automatically (see details via the documentation), but you could also launch it manually to allow quick edits (or placing the new episodes in Draft mode right after a manual import). You can set a general episode image that gets displayed for episodes without a Featured Image (so the episodes will still look good and allow future adjustments). Posts and episodes have a sidebar, so a full-width layout is possible in pages only. The statistics module is a local tool, it obviously can gather listens from the site only (for the theme’s RSS feed and site players, so if you use an external RSS feed URL then that provider offers the statistics). I hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply! After more researching I’m thinking I’ll self-host and have the WP RSS feed be the feed sent to Apple and use something like podtrac to provide stats.

Glad that helped! As I said, posts and episodes have a sidebar, so a full-width layout is possible in pages only (see the About page in the demo preview). The theme supports Podtrac for external statistics, an integration setting is included for easy setup. There is no built-in additional hero section option, but that’s easy to add via a child theme if you have some coding experience. Hope this helps.

Hi, you can use the Customize > Site Identity > Site Icon setting to control the favicon of your site (this setting is offered by default by WordPress and it is not something specific to theme functionality). Hope this helps.
Is this theme multisite compatible?

Hi, thank you for your interest – there is no official support for Elementor or RevSlider, but they should work fine as the theme is coded with the latest WordPress standards. Elementor has been successfully used by some users (on regular pages, not on page templates) and RevSlider can be used inside the content area using its shortcode system, but in my honest opinion, it doesn’t really add any value to the theme. Hi, I really like the theme but I just want to make sure it will work the way I think it will. My understanding is that if I host my podcast with Simplecast, I can take the Simplecast RSS feed and import that to populate the episodes on this theme? And when I publish a new episode on Simplecast, it can automatically create the episode post? And I’ve seen some mentions of syndicating the podcast to various platforms like Spotify etc. Do I have the option to control that? Like if I’m using another service to syndicate, can I turn it off in this theme?

Hi, thank you for your interest and I’m glad you like the theme.
The theme has a built-in easy to use import tool that can be fully automated – so, yes, it will import an external RSS podcast feed and create new episodes on the site when they are published externally. You can choose to simply not use the theme’s generated RSS feed and use your already available service for iTunes, Spotify, etc.

Hi, thank you for your interest – yes, the theme works with any external RSS based podcast provider, including Anchor. The theme’s demo preview uses the default WordPress editor, no bundled page builder required at all (but can be used in case you need it). Hope this helps.
1) I know that the homepage displays the latest episode automatically. However, my latest episode didn’t update even though I’ve added new episodes, which are showing on the Browse Episodes section of the homepage. How do I manually fix the latest episodes?
2) At one point, my homepage displayed my latest Instagram posts, but now it only shows the button to click and be taken to Instagram. I’ve removed and added back the IG user account, and that didn’t fix it. Is there another solution?

I no longer have access to the account where the purchase was made because it was the designer’s account and once the files were handed over, I’ve had to use my account. The site is already designed and I simply have a question about the automatic postings of the latest episode which isn’t populating and the Instagram posts that are not showing.
Sure, I understand – contact me via the Support channel anyway (using your account) and if you have, provide the purchase code from your designer so I can verify the license. I figured out that the reason why the latest episode wasn’t showing is because I didn’t add a number in the Post Attributes – Order for the most recent episode to show that this is the last episode. That fixed it even those it’s annoying that there’s a hyphen instead of text wrap for the episode title on the home page.
Regarding having the Instagram feed show up on the home page, I’ve deleted & added it back in Custom Fields and that still doesn’t fix it. I would prefer to use the native Instagram feed & not Flo Social.
Make sure you use the latest version of the theme and use a specialized third-party plug-in to handle the Instagram feed (I suggest Flo Social), because the latest API doesn’t allow getting images directly anymore. Hope this helps.

The theme supports the default WordPress search functionality and any well-coded third party solution (see the widget example via sidebar of the Episodes page). You can install any plugin to display a notice for cookie usage. Support is included for 6 months with the initial purchase and you can extend it afterward. The theme has options to change the default color scheme, but you can also customize any elements via Custom CSS. I suggest you use a specialized plugin to change the fonts, for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/olympus-google-fonts/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-google-fonts/ The theme is SEO friendly, built with best practices and you can surely use the Yoast SEO plugin for further adjustments.

Hi, I noticed the episodes are pages, where as all my episodes are currently posts. Is there a way around having to move all my podcast posts (over 200) into pages to get this theme to work for my podcast?

Hi, I’m afraid there is no such functionality available. Episodes are custom post types (not pages) which you must use in order for the podcast to work as expected. Hi there, I’m thinking about purchase this theme for my podcast but I have some questions: 1. I have my podcast hosted on Ivoox, a spanish podcast repository. I want to know if I can import that to the theme without having it on my personal hosting (I guess with RSS, like when you import to Spotify). 2. And in that case, when the podcast were listened from the website with Castilo, would it count on the stadistics from Ivoox (where is the file hosted). Thank you, and excuse me for my english.

1. You can keep the externally hosted media files and use the import podcast feature (with a valid podcast RSS feed), no problem;
2. The statistics module will collect all listens and downloads from the website, even if the audio episode files are externally hosted.

If your external podcast provider has statistics on it’s own then they are separate from the theme’s statistics, obviously there is no access to them.
