Hello, first pre sale question but I probably know the answer already, any chance to get a sidebar option one day ? That said, can I have a mix of articles with only text (showing typography type of look) and articles with picture ? The only sidebar in Typology is the one that can be triggered with the click on the hamburger icon. That is the design choice that we’ve made in this case.
Regarding featured images – of course, you can choose to have a layout with featured images displayed. You can take a look at this example from our demo:

Is there something wrong with your server? Every theme is taking forever to load and it does so only partly. I’m on phone data so I can’t keep refreshing the pages but none of them are loading properly.

I’m trying the demo and I need the fonts style to include all accents (circumflexes etc.), but they aren’t coming up in all fonts (eg “TŶ” doesn’t show properly in either Special Elite or Merriweather fonts). Is this something that can be easily fixed in the code?

Hello, Mobile bug with the theme. If i select Layout A and then Site Title & Tagline for the Cover Area, site is not responsive on mobile. Layout C works fine, but we need to use Layout A. I hope its something i did wrong on my side, because it would not really make sense if it’s a theme bug, since i guess most people use Layout A.

Sorry, we have about 16 themes in our portfolio, and I was confused about the font you’re referring to, so I didn’t check the channel. I’m truly sorry that I’ve made that kind of mistake.
Regarding the font – Yes, the Typology logo is made with Josefin Sans font. It isn’t modified. I believe that the only thing that differentiates it from the font default behavior is the letter spacing.

I think there might be some misunderstanding—a video cover background is shown in your own typology demo here https://preview.themeforest.net/item/typology-text-based-minimal-wordpress-blog-theme/full_screen_preview/19547842?_ga=2.243072002.1252532553.1578964012-188415508.1572687967 and I can definitely set mp4s to fill the cover image (on the homepage only though).
i’m asking whether it’s possible to do it on other non-home pages and posts, where covers are enabled
Hello, In the Typology theme, we only have an option for background video, which is a global option to show on all posts and pages if you enable it. We do not have an option in theme to add the video background individually in the posts and pages.

Hello, just a comment and a suggestion: we recently started using WooCommerce and while the theme does support it; the product list has square format images; given it is likely to be used by writers it seems like an awkward choice as books are rarely in 1 to 1 ratio. We are currently customizing the template ourselves, however, it would be nice if that was a consideration with the default layout. Similarly, book titles can be quite long and the current format only lends itself to couple of short words at most; then it starts looking rather awkward. Thanks for taking the time to read. Cheers.

Two quick question – First Is there an option to display post updated date for any posts that we update ?. Second, there are no page builders bundled with the theme and yet it is priced $59, any reason ?.

Regarding your first question – We don’t have an option to do this automatically, like in some of our other themes, but you can always change the date by clicking on your Status and visibility > published date link. I’ll forward your message as feedback to our product team so we can see if can improve Typology with this sort of feature in one of the next updates.
Regarding your second question – Well, that is relative. Typology is a self-sufficient theme, which means that it can work on its own, but you can also install any page builder you want. If you want to use a page builder, my suggestion would be to go with Elementor, which is a free page builder.
Regarding the price itself – We’re determining our prices according to multiple factors. Some of our users think that the price is low and that our themes should be more expensive, so we can obtain the level of support and updates.
If you have any suggestions about the price, please don’t hesitate to let us know, and I’ll forward this conversation as feedback to our product team. It’ll be great if you can tell us the price which you consider as fair in your opinion, and some reasons for that kind of choice.

I may agree with the point that theme is good and even support. But a theme with no page builders (ex visual composer, slider rev etc) should not cost $59. If you take a look at top selling wordpress themes in themeforest they all offer huge amount of features, shortcodes, templates, plugins etc. But when i tested Typology theme, there are not much features in the theme. I understand that it’s a Minimal theme but I am sure many will agree that price $59 is too high for this theme. I have no complaints with the theme speed and way it’s coded.

Apologies for another presales question – I was looking at your demo site after the latest update, and there’s a significant bug on mobile where (a) when you scroll through a post and the bottom bar appears with the author icon + a speech bubble icon, clicking on that speech bubble icon used to take you down to the comments. Now it just moves the page back UP, incrementally every time you click it. (b) you can’t see any comments on mobile – it just says “4 comments” etc and no actual comments.
Just wondering if this is a known bug that’s being fixed…? it’s a big one…(and the older version didn’t do this when I was looking at this theme a month ago!)

The comment icon in the bottom bar takes you down to the comment form, and To Top button takes you up to the top.
If you want, you can make some screenshots of that bug you’re talking about(screen video would be great), and share it with us.
