Hi i have just updated to 3.8 and updated lambda theme. Some icons are missing like social buttons and the sign in between the breadcrumb and some other icons as well. Are these related to the theme or is it moodle? is there any way to get them back? Kind regards, Patrik
Please check your current theme settings for the Font Awesome icons at Administration > Site Administration > Appearance > Themes > Theme-Lambda > Fonts.
I recommend to mark the checkbox to enable Font Awesome version 5.

Hello. After upgrading to 3.8 there is no more option to collapse/expand blocks inside moodle. There are no controls left of the block title that will enable to collapse or expand certain block. Is there a fix for that or is that change implemented on purpose.

unfortunately the ‘minimize’ and ‘dock’ icons are indeed gone because these features are no longer supported by this Moodle version. You can check the Moodle 3.7/3.8 core themes “Classic” and “Boost”, you won’t find these icons/features at the core themes, too.
With Moodle 3.7, the ‘dock’ feature is even removed from the core Moodle theme settings (see also: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=381465).
If you like to keep the extra space for your course contents which the Moodle dock provided, then you could switch to Theme Lambda’s collapsible sidebar. In contrast to the Moodle core Boost theme, this sidebar is a fully configurable block region and you can place all your blocks there:

Hi, I see that the previous versions like 1.44 requires basebootsrap theme to work. Does the newer versions requires the same or it depends on the new boost theme? And is it compatible with older versions of this theme?

The theme is compatible with all Moodle versions from 2.5 to the current version 3.8+.
The newer versions of Theme Lambda for Moodle 3.7 and 3.8 (from which the bootstrapbase has been removed) do not use the Boost theme as a parent theme, but contain their own bootstrap-based framework.

btw: I am quite proud to say that Theme Lambda is the longest-standing product at themeforest for the Moodle category. It already had some important updates and it runs stable and reliable. I will definitely keep it compatible with upcoming new Moodle versions.

Edwiser Bridge is used to synchronize Moodle courses and user data between Moodle and WordPress. So when you sell a course at your WordPress/WooCommerce site, your clients will attend the course at your Moodle instance. Then Theme Lambda can be used for the course design so that you don’t offer and present your courses at the default Moodle style for your clients.
So Lambada does not do e-commerce or user creation, but it replaces the default moodle theme to deliver courses? It’s seems like it creates a whole website…am I wrong?

They go to my wordpress site, login there and it brings them to my moodle site. This is the current theme I’m using but it’s not really supported anymore, so I’m looking for a change.

I am using Moodle 3.7 and the corresponding version of Lambda theme. That’s fine, but when uploading images to resources, there is no option for images to be responsive, I don’t have those settings. Is it a bug in the topic and can it be fixed?

Moodle automatically adds a class for your images to be responsive when you insert them at the Atto editor (‘Auto size’ checkbox).

I have one more question. How do I set the theme to have the sidebar one on the left of the center wall and the other on the right. Now both sidebars are on the right side of the content.

This theme depends on bootstrapbase from moodle core which is no longer supported as of version 3.7. Again Essential theme is not compatible with moodle 3.7. Will lambda be available for moodle 3.7 and later versions? Will there be any compatibility issues?
Don’t worry: Theme Lambda is already fully compatible with the latest Moodle version 3.7.1+
Hi, with mobile device custom menu is not functioning correctly. Even the language menu doesn’t work.

does this theme no longer supports new moodle 3.7? i’m just in the process of upgrading moodle but looks like it needs the bootstrap base which is no longer supported on 3.7…. what the solution for this?

please download the latest theme version again. There you will find an installation package for Moodle 3.7. You have to use this theme folder during your Moodle upgrade.
