Hello,

I am thinking of buying the theme, but I have some reservations.

According to a comment on the Opencart site; In a store with a lot of products, Journal 3 erases all caches when the product is changed (sales, editing, stock, etc.) and it takes a long time to rebuild.

I am currently using 1.5 theme, there are 10k products and the database is about 1GB.

Does this problem persist? Because we make a lot of changes during the day, and if the entire cache is erased every time and it takes longer to recover, the Journal will be tortured for us.

Hi, this depends a lot of your hosting plan performance, a decent hosting plan should rebuild the cache pretty fast. Also, we can help you disable cache clear when modifying store data if you want to.

I have not contacted you during the support period, but I’ve discovered something I’d like to ask about.

The system settings has a “Filter Check Options Quantity”, which seems great, however this then only filters products which are in stock for a particular option. This means that people can’t find any out of stock product at all.

Is there an way to have this work in conjunction with the Availability filter?

Essentially, we’d only like for it to check the option values once someone has selected to filer “In Stock” products.

Is there a whey to edit Accordion menu drop down categories to always be visible? Currently you need to click the icon for subcategories to drop down…I need these to be visible without needing to click it…

Hello, please do the import / export option for one block or module or setting. To import / export from one site to another. Not all settings, but only one (module, block, etc.). For example, to take a copy of the slider from your demos. Or other blocks, modules, settings, etc.

Hi, this isn’t quite easy with a dynamic system since any module or block may make use of other variables or styles so if exported and imported into a different system the vars (colors, fonts, etc) and possible style sets may not match.

Exporting and importing of certain blocks would imply particular block styles are applied in each block, so they would bring in all that styling on import and look the same, but this approach could be very laborious in designing your site. In Journal styles and variables are global and used in different places or blocks, which is a great benefit when you want to update a value that applies cross-site on different blocks.

Hi, that’s not available as a feature, but i assume you can add a custom Button module from Journal > Modules > Button on your checkout layout in Journal > Layouts > Checkout.

You can customize your layout route, so basically have a separate layout for the checkout only and thus add whatever modules you want only on that layout.

Could you work on the popup such that it can be controlled so it doesn’t have to show up all the time for existing visitors, also when you turn off the pop-up it doesn’t completely turn off?

Hi, there is a bug in displaying correctly the menu in demo 11 and also in our site. If you open the page in google chrome browser (incognito mode) then if you hover on “Shop” button, the menu expands as it should, but if you hover at “Catalog” button, the menu does not expand anymore. Is there a workaround?

i’ve seen also on other computers that even in non incognito mode, the menu doesn’t reveal. version of chorme browser is: Version 80.0.3987.122 (Official Build) (64-bit)

We’ve placed this under investigation, we’re looking into it.

Ok, the row in the builder of that menu has Status option set to “Admin only”, so the element is visible only to you if you’re logged in as admin, that’s why it’s not visible in incognito.

In this case, go to Journal > Header > Main Menu > Your Menu and check in that menu item admin status is set to OFF. Also look in the Status option of the actual row in the menu builder, (small pencil button seen when hovering over the row).

Hi, you may have to disable the site overaly which is not compatible with RTL layouts at this time, look in Journal > Header > [Your header] > Main Menu > Site Overlay > Status…

This is not essential to the functionality of the site or any menus so you can safely turn it off.

Also I want to report there is bug setting for ‘Column Right/Left on Tablet’ ( page style>side columns>). The setting only working if they both turn on but not if I choose right or left only.

Journal3 when i upload image it take it hours to see it from Journal theme for example slider top home image maneger. If i want to change photo of product – the image is already visibile (same but from opencart menu not journal).

Where i must clear journal cache to see it immediately?
