In case fonts or color styles/schemes (accent styles) fell back to their default settings/values after the theme update you need to regenerate the styles and colors again. All you need to do is navigate to Appearance > Fonts & Colors and just click on “Save” button.

I’d like a “gallery stream page” (like blog), which display gallery (post) only. I could add a new php file which handle this feature, but it would be nice, if i can avoid that.

The only way in this case is to use the Blogger element in WPBakery Page Builder plugin but it does not have the lightbox option http://prntscr.com/qytt7a If you still need the lightbox, some extra customization will be required. Please submit the ticket at https://themerex.net/support/ into ‘Get Customization’ category for a quote.
You can also use the Essential Grid plugin to create the gallery with the lightbox.

Please go to Appearance – Install Plugins and if it asks you to update the Themerex Utilities plugin, please do that.
As for the custom settings, please do not switch themes in Appearance – Themes in admin or all settings will be lost. Please check this article for more info https://themerex.ticksy.com/article/9476
Please restore the site backup (contact your hosting provider for the backup) and follow these directions to update the theme without losing the settings:
1. Make the full site backup.
2. Navigate to wp-content/themes directory on FTP and rename the jacqueline folder to jacqueline123, for example.
3. Then upload the unzipped jacqueline theme from the new theme update package to wp-content/themes directory on FTP.
4. With that done correctly, you should go to Appearance – Themes in admin and should see the new version for the parent theme instead of the old one. Please do not click ‘Activate’ in order not to lose the changes. If the old jacqueline theme is renamed on FTP and the new version is uploaded via FTP properly ( see points 2-3 above), you should see the new theme version already activated.
Also, please note that if you use the child theme for your site, make sure to have the child theme backup as well, also please note that if you activate the parent theme instead of the child theme, you will lose all settings. In order to avoid that, please read this article (it is on Invetex theme, so please note that in your case it will be ‘jacqueline’ instead of ‘invetex’ in the code: https://themerex.ticksy.com/article/9476
5. Please go to Appearance – Install Plugins and update the Themerex Utilities plugin.

Right after the update please go to Appearance – Fonts and Colors and just click ‘Save’ without changing anything. It will restore your fonts and colors options. As for the child theme, you do not have to updafe it or upload the new one. You should just update the parent theme the way described in points 1-5, just do not switch themes in admin in order not to lose the settings.

oh no it doesn’t work!! Only for the front page, all subpages have still wrong font / color settings (steps 1-5 proper done, never switched away from child theme, latest versions of everything)
it’s probably best I just delete everything again and just don’t update your theme, everything else works with page builder, wp versions etc. but your theme update just doesn’t work, even with your step by step guide. I hope it’s nothing security related but I switching back to 1.2.9 version I had. Everything works there, just when I update the theme problems starting with settings gone etc (even when I install all new plugins, make the save hack in appearance etc.)

I have a small problem with updating the Jacqueline Child Theme. I have the 1.0 installed and each time I try to update the child theme to 1.6.1, the updating process start and finish well then the page reload 5sec after and I see that I have again the Jacqueline Child theme to update…

I have also a other problem with the ThemeREX Updater extension…
In the “Install Plugins” section under “Apparence”, I see that I have the ThemeREX Updater extension to install, but it is already installed in the Extensions section and the version is the same (1.3.4)!
And if i click and Install it again then I have this error and show me again the ThemeREX Updater extension to install :
