Hi, I’m using Ken 4.2.1 on a client’s website along with WooCommerce 3.9.2. The client wants me to update to the recent version of WooCommerce and before I do so can you please let me know if my version of Ken is compatible with WooCommerce 4.X? Is there any newer version of Ken available or can you please give me an estimation when you will release a version compatible to new WooCommerce? Thanks, Ingrid

Your theme has a BIG problem, when updating to the latest VC, it BREAKS the site and adds random video on pages. People here. DO NOT UPDATE, until they fix their template. How come you haven’t updated this, this is crucial for everyone who has your template on their sites!!!!! So frustrating and annoying.

Hello Artbees, in the past few months I have built a website for a customer with the Ken (Wp Bakery). Since the Ken is still not updated, I wonder if it would be better to switch to Jupiter x before the site goes online. Would it be possible to switch themes for free? Then what happens to my layout?

You can get a refund https://themes.artbees.net/docs/getting-refund/ and then buy Jupiter X theme. If you switch to Jupiter X, you’ll have to re-do the pages with Elementor editor and set the theme settings in Customizer. Do you agree with it?

To be on the safe side: it’s about a page for a video production company, so it should have a fullscreen video (background) on the start page that runs automatically and also a video grid with 3×3 videos. As far as I’ve got it, Jupiter can, is that right?

If you see no problems there I will tell my customer that he will arrange reimbursement and new purchase of jupiterx.

Hello, I did an upgrade to the theme, and the whole theme is now broken. Specifically any new rows added, add by default this random youtube video, and the full-width rows are now not full-width any longer, without being able to do that again. So frustrating that your theme is all buggy.

Unfortunately, there is no option for adding tags in portfolio. Due the Support Policy this is out of our support scope but you can use one of many plugins out there to extend the custom post type capabilities (search custom post type wordpress) and see any of them is appropriate.

Hi, I have an old version of Ken and want to update to the latest version as currently I can’t edit any of the pages due to VC now being way out of date I assume. I am running Ken 3.2.1 and your modified VC version 4.5.3. What should I do?

You need update the theme via FTP as described in this article https://themes.artbees.net/docs/updating-theme-child-theme/ (the process is the same for the Ken theme). Then update WPBakery plugin via Ken > Control Panel > Required Plugins. Create site backup before starting update process. Thank you.

The theme was updated in October https://themes.artbees.net/support/ken/release-notes/ . You need update it to 4.2.1 version. You can updated as described in this article https://themes.artbees.net/docs/updating-theme-child-theme/ (the process is the same for Jupiter and Ken themes), read the part “Updating theme via WordPress dashboard”. Create full site backup before starting update process. Thank you.

I would like to buy a new license of The Ken theme, but I noticed that it is no longer updated since 2018. Are updates planned, or is it an abandoned project?

When you use the Resize & Crop(Not Recommended) feature in the theme shortcodes, for example, the blog element, the resized versions will be created in “bfi_thumb” folder. You can delete the folder, however, it creates the required (resized) images again. Also, Retina Images and Responsive Images feature in the Theme Options > Site Settings enable automatic generation of responsive and adaptive images that you could disable them to reduce the bfi_thumb folder.

Updated WP Bakery page builder through The Ken (4.2) control panel under required plugins, but now i got a version (6.0.5) that isn’t activated (got the video backgrounds everywhere). When deleting the plugin and install 5.5.4 through the appearance > install plugins menu the front end works again, but i can’t edit content like pages. Content is moved to glutenberg editor and Wpbakery is empty and keeps loading forever. Please fix WPBakery modified version 6.0.5 soon.

Thanks, i am taking another fresh look at it later today. Maybe i overlooked something with cache or anything else. If it isn’t a known problem i should be able to get it working.
