The footer widgets are not imported by the demo importer. Regarding the contact form, this is a ready to use solution. If you need more flexibility, please use Contact Form7 (it is a free plugin), the theme is compatible with this plugin. Hi, as far as I know, the theme has no bugs, I think is quite unfair from your side to say this since the theme is rigorously tested before being released and it has almost 1000 active customers. Hi there. I’m trying to change the color of the menu on the main page from white to black. I’ve tried changing it in menu colors, I’ve tried changing to black on white but nothing seems to be working. Is there another area that controls this?
I still haven’t been able to figure it out. Our website is musicexperiences.org. You’ll see that the menu is there but I can’t figure out how to change from white to black.
Hi, the theme comes with a feature that allows you to choose different menu colors for individual pages. This allows you to match the menu with the upper side of your page (in case you choose to use a header image or a slider). Most probably, this is the case for your front page. Please edit the front page and navigate below the content area to the Header Settings custom meta box. There, you can change the custom colors or simply remove them, to use for your front page the global settings from Customizer. Please let me know if something is not clear or you have more questions!

I actually do have one more question: is there a way that I can change the font on the page to one that isn’t the default and that isn’t a Google font? Is that in the theme editor somewhere?
Slide Music Theme theme provides support for all Google Fonts. If you want to use a font that is not part of Google Fonts, we can achieve this using a child theme. Don’t worry, I can help you with this. Can you please what is the font family that you want to use and the elements that should be using this font?

Great theme. Although I’m having trouble ordering images in the Photo Albums. Photos seem to be ordered randomly, no way to sort by filename or date. When I drag images around in the Image Gallery, the other images move to random positions. With larger albums this is becoming a headache. Can you help?
Hi, the images can be ordered, as you mentioned, with drag & drop in the album post type. Just keep in mind that while the order in the album editor is vertical, on the front end the order will be horizontal, from left to right. Hallo Slide support team, I am interested in this theme, but I have some questions in advance. I like the Album player, but what kind of player “element” is it? Is it a module of WP Backery? Is it possible to adjust that player also just for one song, and make the picture smaller? I like also the small icons/links for iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Music and Spotify. How many of those icons can be integrated within the player per song?
What kind of “element” is that Album grid? (I used “Essential Grid” in the past as plugin). I don’t like that vinyl animation. How far is that Album grid customizable?
I’ve also used “Slider Revolution” in the past as plugin, and had my WP webside at different hosting providers. But no matter how hard I tried to get my website fast enough, I couldn’t make it. Not with all those caching and optimizing plugins etc. My website remained quite slow (up to 9 – 13 sec loading time). So accourding my experience probably the “Slider Revolution” and “Essential Grid” plugin (and maybe also my old theme) made my website quite slow. Therefore, is it possible to use this theme without a slider, just with an image under the menu bar? So what about the “speed” of the theme in general. The demo site looks really fast, but what if I start to use plugins like “Essential Grid” and/or “Slider Revolution”?
I see the theme has custom “post types”. Can I create with this theme also a custom post type for a song and for an artist? The ALBUMS page on the demo site has 6 albums to show, but what if I am planning to post much more songs/albums than 6? Is it possible to create page numbers for the song posts?

Is it a module of WP Backery?” Yes, the music player is a WPBakery element that we’ve implemented for Slide. We have more than 20 page builder elements that we’ve created for Slide and the Music Player element is one of them. “Is it possible to adjust that player also just for one song, and make the picture smaller?” You can add a single song to the player, it is flexible and you can choose how many songs you add to it. Regarding the size, please offer more details about why you need a smaller image in the player element. “I like also the small icons/links for iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Music and Spotify. How many of those icons can be integrated within the player per song?” At this moment, for each song, you can add links to Amazon, Spotify, Apple, Google Play, YouTube and SoundCloud and also a custom purchase link (for instance, a direct link to your own shop page). “What kind of “element” is that Album grid? How far is that Album grid customizable?” There are two different page builder elements that you can use to promote the albums. Hallo Slide support team, regarding the picture size of the album; If I plan to show only 1 single song within the album player, then there is too much empty space under the first track. That’s why I would like to be able to customize it. But, I understand, those elements created by your team are quite fixed and not much customizeable.
Regarding Slider Revolution, I don’t have the impression that there are Slider Revolution implemented on your demo pages. Sliders are usually implemented directly under the menu and they have then of course some animations. At the demo page I see fixed pictures under the menu. Some page elements are somehow animated more below after the first loading, but I don’t know how that is done. So, because your demo websites seem not to have a slider and Essential Grids implemented, I can’t see how it would behave (regarding loading time) with those plugins. I like the theme in general, but until now “I am afraid” there isn’t enough flexibility for me to customize the elements your team has created. I could use the “integrated” Essential Grid plugin, but with that “I am afraid” it would slow down the loading time of the page.
Hi, regarding the player page builder element, you can customize the songs, cover images, purchase links, but the size of the element is automatically adjusted according to the device size and aligned with the rest of the elements. If you use a smaller height image for the album, it will not look that good. If you want, I can help you with custom CSS code for this.
Regarding Slider Revolution – the sliders implemented in the demos are single image, but all the demos come with slider revolution objects. You can extend them and add animations/videos according to your needs. The animation for the page builder elements was made with WPBakery Page Builder. Also, the theme does not use “Essential Grid” plugin, the grid structure in the theme was created using WPBakery rows and columns.
From my point of view, you should not be afraid of the page loading speed. Also, each page builder element that we’ve created comes with several options that you can set in the front editor (you can edit them visually), since the theme is 100% compatible with WPBakery Front Editor. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi, This is a theme feature that allows you to use custom, page specific logo. Just edit the front page and navigate below the content area, to the Header Settings meta box and there you can remove the custom logo used for the front page.

Hi, you don’t need to install again Slider Revolution, because you already have it. Just update it from Appearance – Install Slide Plugins. If you already did this and you got this error, this means that the plugin was not successfully deleted from its location, so you need to delete it manually. Please let me know if you followed the steps above and I will help you.
Hi, I had to delete it manually. I also noticed that after the update, the videos no longer work on our site. I double checked that the links are correct. After clicking on a video you get a 404 page not found.
Also, the events pages are giving a 404 error. This all happened after the last update.
It looks like anything using javascript is not working, please let me know how to fix this as soon as possible thank you!
Regarding to 404 error, please go to Settings – Permalinks and make sure that the permalinks are set to “post name”, then simply click on Save. This will refresh your permalinks in the database.
Regarding JavaScript, can you please offer more details? The theme update does not contain bugs, please make sure that one of your active plugins does not break the theme js functionality. Just deactivate all the plugins that are not part of the theme, then activate then back one at a time. Let me know about the result.

Regarding to your questions, please check my answers below: a) Yes, if you are talking about the social icons on the top right side of the single artist page, I can help you with this by hiding it from Additional CSS area. b) Yes, you can already to this, just make sure you translate slide-music-core plugin. c) Also, all the strings used in the theme demos are translation ready. Just make sure you add the translation files for both Slide theme and slide-music-core plugin. Please let me know if you are not familiar with how to translate a theme, I will send you more details.

It was written for Lucille theme but the information is still correct, you just need to change the name from ‘lucille’ to ‘slide’ for the translation files path.

Hi, I’ve purchased the theme and edited the main demo to display it as my own site at www.dorianunofficial.com. I’m publishing the site Live in 13:30h from writing this comment so it may still be unavailable for general public when you try to check i tout.
The issue I’m having is that the Events-upcoming template isn’t working. No matter if I’m editing the current demo page for the upcoming events or creating a new one with the “upcoming events” template. It just shows a blank page on both Safari and Chrome.
My theme is updated and all the plugins are up to date. I have done no editing on the current theme nor have I added additional CSS.
How do I resolve this issue and have this simple Upcoming events page list all my upcoming events?
Hi, I will help you regarding this issue. First of all, please make sure that you have upcoming events – events with date in the future. The events page builder element should work out of the box. Just make sure that you have events with date in the future, and the event date is inserted correctly. Can I ask you what do you suggest I do with events like that that expire? Do I remove them from the website? And how can I have separate categories like past/upcoming and all events display separately when the template doesn’t work when I have an event in the past?

You can already filter the events in this way (past/upcoming). The events page builder elements can filter the events shown by the type of event (past/upcoming/all) so you can create a different page for the past events. I would not suggest to remove them, since thy are part of your activity. Also, you have the dedicated page templates that automatically show the past or upcoming events.
