The topbar must have class dark in order to make the text/links white color.

I see, thanks for letting us know for this issue. To fix it, simply add this class in /css/custom.css (and link this file after style.css in your header) or at the end of the line in style.css

.topbar-transparent {
    background-color: transparent !important;
}

Then, remove the header-modern from your #header., becuase header modern meant to be used as a standalone header and not with topbar.
