Hello, I’m on my 4th Fortuna install and… the weirdest or weird things is happening: if I use any theme, the menu appears normally. As soon as I install a (fresh!) copy of Fortuna, the menu disappears (also with Fortuna Child). I’m … baffled.

(There is no “Header” section written at all, when checked with the inspector, whereas on other sites I did with the theme, there’s one?)

Hah I feel very silly now www.jlho.fr and yes the menu is assigned to the main nav (it appears as soon as I switch themes, and disappears immediately as soon as I switch back to fortuna / fortuna child.)
So try creating a menu and assign it to the main nav slot. Let me know if all is sorted.
Oh but I have done so always ! As I said, the existing menu in the main nav appears instantly if I switch themes AWAY from fortuna and disappear as soon as reactivate fortuna. With ANY other theme I activate, the menu appears and works.
I know, it makes no sense but that’s what’s happening. I did a great download of the theme, and a Greek install (not an update.)

Re compatibility to WC 4.5
“Your theme (Fortuna Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.”

Thx for the quick response, yes we are using a child theme. The error notice was thrown upon upgrading the version of Woocommerce. From WC 4.3 to 4.5.
Upon further discovery of “templates” in “wc-status” it is within here that the templates are listed and certain templates have the following status.
Your theme has a woocommerce.php file, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template since woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php. This is intended to prevent display issues. Overrides fortuna-child/woocommerce/archive-product.php version 3.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.4.0, fortuna-child/woocommerce/auth/footer.php, fortuna-child/woocommerce/auth/form-grant-access.php version 2.4.0 is out of date. The core version is 4.3.0, fortuna-child/woocommerce/auth/form-login.php version 3.3.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.4.0, fortuna-child/woocommerce/auth/header.php, fortuna-child/woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php version 3.1.0 is out of date. Please, tell me if you have any custom woocommerce related templates in your Child theme directory.
Our tests with the latest Woocommerce version have shown no issues with the parent theme but we’d love to hear more if anything seems problematic.
Where do you see the message you pasted above?

No issue there, our latest theme version has no dependencies to the older JQuery versions, if issues are found with our themes we usually address them pretty fast.

A few years ago (2015) I purchased this theme with my associate, but we split and I got to keep all the webites as well as the hosting service. I’m trying to make the google map work but I can’t find where to insert the api. I tried writting the address as I read in your documentation url, but nothing works. I read the guides but I’m really scared to change the theme to another one, then delete the fortuna theme, and upload the new version again. I don’t want to loose everything I’ve worked on. If it doesn’t work would I be able to recover it?
You won’t lose your data, but you should always perform a backup anyway before doing major theme/wp/plugin updates (I use Duplicator plugin for that – it creates whole mirror images of a website and can be restored fully). Another way is to go to your FTP client and overwrite the old theme files with the new, takes a minute.

Hello I’m from Brazil and when I use basic search and type words with accent and hit enter, it returns to the homepage of the site, but when I type without attention it works normal. Ex: When typing “atenção” does not search, it returns to the official page but if typing “Atencao” without an accent works normal.

Recently there is a problem with editing an existing page. When editing a text block and then saving the page a new empty row and text block is added unnecessarily to the page. This problem exists for about half a year / year.

No such option out of the box, our latest theme Alea has this option though, check it out.
