Hello there,

I install the theme as you said. But it turns out to be corrupt

Mercenary support in the wrong transaction is ridiculous

Hi, that’s not theme related. Opencart does not work with php 7.4, please downgrade php to 7.3 and your issue will be solved after.

Best Regards.

Friends, you are not logging in to the DEMO 1 administrative panel, can you check what may be happening? I tried with Chrome and Edge, the other DEMO programs work. https://www.journal-theme.com/1/admin/ demo demo

Thanks

HI, that is working fine now in our testing, please try again.

Best Regards.

Hi, is there GDPR checkbox in product review form and blog comments form in latest Journal version?

Hi, there is no such option in the latest Journal version, we’ll consider adding it.

Best Regards.

Ok. Thanks!

Hi, I’m thinking of buying your template, will you make any more updates?

Hi, yes of course. Journal is regularly updated as needed with any bug fixes reported and various other improvements.

Best Regards.

Will you also update for oc 3.1.x.x? Where is the new feature product variant?

Hi, Journal will be updated to work with all official Opencart releases.

Is there any option to change the admin footer text (version and opencart link) through backend ?

In journal3 -> product page -> description -> show more button. We have only one line of description so that the “show more” button alignment is not correct. Can we adjust the position from the admin side ? I have tried the padding and margin for the button but it is not working, If we set a min-height to the div it will show correctly. is there any other option to bring the “show more” button to the bottom ? so that the description is readable on first sight

Hi, please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers.

Hi. Thanks for great work. I really love J3. I have been using it since the first days.

I have only left with a little problem. From Skins>Global settings I have disabled scroll to top option and enable popup when add to cart is clicked. It works fine on the category pages. But on the product page, popup is still missing and it scroll to top. Besides count badge and cart is not updated until I refresh the page. I don’t understand why it is working fine in category page but doesn’t work on product pages. Is there a setting that I have been missing?

Hi, Demo 1 has scroll to top disabled, can you replicate this issue on our demos? If not, please file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this.

Best Regards.

I cannot actually. I manually replicate the settings from the demos. I found only one option to disable scroll to top (Skins>Global) that only worked for category pages. Since I cannot find any option especially for product page, I can’t replicate it. You can check my website to have a closer look. Here that works: https://nargiletakimi.net/nargile-takimi . Here that doesn’t: https://nargiletakimi.net/nargile-takimi

Hi, we cannot replicate your issue on our demos, please disable your caching extensions and try again. For more information, file a ticket on our support page so we can take a closer look at this.

Best Regards.

Your first demo has google mobile detection errors. https://www.journal-theme.com/1/ you can check from

Hi, we’ve rechecked demo 1 on mobile testing tool and it scores 100% which means it’s mobile friendly: https://take.ms/E5KO2

Best Regards.

No In google webmasters tools with Mobile test tool it is not. You can check from here -> https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.journal-theme.com%2F1%2F

Hi, Google mobile friendly testing tool is sometimes showing false positive warnings, it will probably get fixed in the near future. Chrome Lighthouse shows 100% for mobile friendly test.

Best Regards.

How do we use the “size chart” button in demo 4 in demo 9? Thanks.

Hi, you can create custom buttons with the Button module from Journal > Modules > Button, then add it to a product page via Journal > Product Extras > Extra Modules. See https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/product-extras/extra-modules/

Best Regards.

I did. thanks

I have bought journal 2 before , do I need to buy new license for journal 3 if need to use in same domain

Pls advise if there is any documentation how to make upgrade?

Can we use with OC 2.2 ?

Hi, there isn’t any since J3 is a completely different theme so you’ll have to install it as a new theme, it’s not compatible to J2 and it can’t be updated. Just browse our docs here: https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/installation/

Best Regards.

Hi please did it support multi store ?

Hi ..I have journal 2 ..how I can access the live preview page (demo sites)

Hi, you can do that here: https://www.journal-theme.com/v2/

Best Regards.

Ho, does it exist the option to hide “Add to cart” or “Buy Now” buttons if stock is zero?. I have seen if price is zero, but not if Stock was zero

Thanks

Hi, please look in Journal > Styles > Product Page > [Active Style] > Buttons > Add to Cart > Stock Visibility…

Best Regards.

Hi, why now the mobile headers of your demos look different? E.g. on demo 7 the logo is smaller, the red bar and search bar are bigger. A similar issue is with other demos, like 5, 6, etc. Here are examples:

old: https://prnt.sc/shuhmi new: https://prnt.sc/shujaz

Have you changed something? I have the old version in the test store, but now we make the live store and I when I’m exporting the demo 7 I have the new version :(.

Thank you for your reply! So the size of the header bars has impact on the website SEO? I’m asking because the old version looks better, but if it has impact on SEO then there is no choice…

It’s not necessarily seo related, just tap targets (meaning the average finger size Google thinks is appropriate to tap on some elements on mobile devices). If it thinks they are too small we get a recommendation, so we increased the size a bit in the demos.

Best Regards.

Oh ok, that sounds reasonable. Thanks again for your help!

Do we have the option to highlight the selected menu on top bar in demo 1. I have created some product category on the top menu with link to the corresponding page. so I need to highlight the menu, then only we know that which item is selected. For eg: i have menu like Printers | Books | Pens etc. if i click of Books it need to be active (highlighted with some background color). Is there any option in journal 3 – opencart 3 – demo 1

Hi, Opencart does not have good support for page link highlighting so we don’t have this available. The menu system is very advanced and fully dynamic with dropdowns that themselves can be category links, mixed with other custom links, or full page builder type dropdowns with many other items or modules in them, so it’s not geared toward that type of menu unfortunately.

Best Regards.

is there anyway we can can make a weight rule in shipping qualifier module. so we can set a Min and Max weight limit to apply shipping qualifier module only on specific products.

Hi, unfortunately there is no such option in Journal and we don’t have plans to add it in the near future.

Best Regards.

Hi i ve just renenew my support for 6 months..i am trying to sumbit a ticket on your page i put my purchase code but it says that is expired…

Hi, please try again and make sure you input the correct one (in case you might be using the old one).

Best Regards.

Can we make the year in footer as dynamic in journal 3 opencart version 3 ? If yes please tell me how

Hi, not sure how you mean, can you post an example or screenshot? Thanks!

we can edit current year 2020 in the copyright section (footer). So for next year we have to change manually to 2021, 2022 etc. Instead of do we have any option to make it as coming automatically when year change.

I see, that would have to be written manually. However, in Journal we have scheduling options on any module, therefore you can create several copyright text modules, each with a different year, and each assigned a schedule, then they should be activated based in that schedule.

Is it possible to have product qty and options in product grid or home for faster customer experience? I see qty, but not product options. I’m interested in buying.

Hi, that is not currently possible unfortunately, however the options are available as a quick popup at the product grid. If they are required, upon adding to cart the popup will show allowing for option selection right then and there.

Best Regards.
