i have added a link in the discription area of a porfolio item but it put the site url in the link when clickt on it. So it doenst work.

You can use links in projects descriptions and in image descriptions if you’re using v1.0.6.

Is it possible to integrate Google Calendar in this theme? I know it isn’t anywhere in the documentation but I was just wondering if there was a trick or maybe an update coming that would allow you to integrate Google Calendar into the Page.

That depends on what code does it use. If it’s iframe or embed code then it should work in all themes out there. If they have WordPress plugin then it’s likely to work with shortcode, too. I hope that helps

Multiple thumbnails can link to 1 external URL but not project. 1 thumbnail = 1 project.

A Couple of questions…
1. Can I set the slider to auto rotate or is this feature planned for the future?
2. Am I able to add a form to the slider, like in this theme: http://themeforest.net/item/nexus-responsive-business-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/25725851) There is code for that on forum – it doesn’t come in admin panel options but it can be done quickly.
2) No. However, this is possible with custom modification of average difficulty. Some coding knowledge is required.

Hi. I have a problem with the body background on the contact page. It apears dark. I’ve checked with the browser tools and it sais the body has the background set to #191718 but this is not set in the admin styling section nor in the css file. Do you have any ideea what the problem might be? Thanks.
Please check [Pages > Contact] and the color there. It comes either from global [Daisho > Styling] or page-specific [Pages > your page > Background Color].
Javascript and main slider.
Hey! I just wonder how to turn off dynamic cursor slider on main slider. I mean on front page while useing scrolling down over the slides javascript is going creazy, slides change but page do not scroll.
So simple question is how to disable changeing slides by scroll? If You could provide some step by step info it would be great. General info also will help.

Is there a way to widgetize the footer ?
That depends.
You have some settings in [Daisho > Footer] already but the documentation in v1.0.6 states that this can’t be used, yet. It’s on our roadmap to add footer design. However, the PHP functionality is already there. So, you can create some columns and add widgets but this is not styled, yet. We added such feature to allow people that are going to do custom modifications to use footer more easily.
So, the footer area doesn’t exist in v1.0.6 BUT it can be styled (and used) by user.
So I just have to add a style via style.css on your theme, then it appears ?
I notice you have a sidebar creator option within the back-end. Is that what you are referring to ? How can I style what it creates. Like what is the class name ?

Basically, mostly CSS changes are necessary but “sidebar” generator for footer won’t work (it works only for page sidebar), so PHP checks are necessary, too. If you need widgetized footer – this theme is not what you’re looking for (at least not at this moment). Our roadmap for the coming days includes adding WPML support in the nearest update and more shortcodes. Then footer and other improvements.
Well ,you see. This project is very important, and the company has a strict deadline for release. As in the stage we are in, wigitizing the footer is very important. I basically want to put a Shortcode within the footer. I thought in order to do this, I’d have to make widgets able to read shortcodes, then later widgitize the footer so that I can easily place my shortcode within the footer using widgets. Unless you have an alternative to putting a shortcode within the footer. That’ll be awesome. I’m willing to pay $30 for this.

Hey. I think I discovered a workaround. I don’t know if you mind me posting it around here as it involves code.
You can add widget to footer in many different ways. Either using pre-made scripts or using your simple one-line sidebar call. That will need some style adjustments. Some more information:
Difficulty: Easy
Time required: +/- 1h
Third party developer will charge: +/- $50
We unfortunately do not provide custom modification services and I don’t recommend this theme for you because it doesn’t provide functionality you’re looking for out of the box and I’m not sure if you’re going to make it work yourself. It will provide such functionality in the future.

Very nice theme thank you. However, I don’t like when the header changes on the portfolio and blog pages (e.g. – the logo and menu icons disappear). Can you please tell me which template files to edit so that each page has the same header section as the home page.

Those will be single.php, template-portfolio.php, header.php (just style if()), archive.php, search.php. Each one contains a piece of javascript code and compact header code. It’s relatively easy to be disabled if you know at least some basics of HTML /CSS/JS. I hope I helped and thank you

Hoping to go public with my Daisho-powered site this month, but the apparent bug where clicks on the portfolio grid sometimes take you to the wrong portfolio entry remains in 1.0.5.
All affected portfolio entries have at least one image. One has an embedded YouTube video, to which I added an image, just in case. No difference. This bug keeps me from going live as a buggy portfolio page makes me look a bit unprofessional..
I’ve seen your comments in a support forum where you hinted at fixing the bug in 1.0.6. Any idea when that might become available?

v1.0.6 is already available. It was uploaded to Themeforest yesterday – you can download it. The bug you described surely doesn’t happen in v1.0.5 if admin panel post configuration is correct – there must be some little misconfiguration somewhere but I understand that it might be hard to notice.
Anyway, v1.0.6 should fix that. We no longer check if projects have at least 1 slide in v1.0.6 – we just display them even if they have 0 slides.

Is there any way to disable the ‘filter’ feature based on a particular portfolio?
Unfortunately, there isn’t. Such information isn’t available in documentation, so you’re right that you couldn’t find anything there. Filter is essential for all portfolio pages. Since v1.0.6 – “shuffle” button can be enabled or disabled.
How tough would it be to remove it without causing issues – or simply hiding it somehow?
Also – is it possible within built-in configuration settings to create a threshold width for flexible content? I was testing on a Macbook Air and the width constraints were causing the header and navigation to mesh together. Hopefully that makes sense.

You browser doesn’t support native upload. Try Firefox 3 or Safari 4.
Have you installed Typography Plugin as well? It’s required. It’s included.

I need to have my site multilingual with a language switcher (2 languages). Did I miss it, or does the theme come without .po/.mo files? Any thoughts or suggestion whats the best way would be to make theme multilingual? Have used qTranslate or WPML before…
Or even any plans to add .po files to the theme in the next updates?

Yup, we’re working towards full WPML support. I have WPML version installed on development server but we’re still adjusting it. You’ll need to wait till v1.0.6 to see WPML support. It’s one of our priorities right now
.PO and example .MO are included since v1.0, so you can already use this with WPML but it doesn’t come with styled language switcher, yet and some strings aren’t included in .PO.

Unfortunately, there’s no WPML support, yet but I uploaded our current progress just to maintain frequent updates. .PO file is already included and I successfully tested WPML on our development server, so you may try that already but you still need to wait for language switcher. Hi again, sounds great. Hope WPML support will be available in the next update. I tried to use WPML with the theme, but after activating the main WPML plugin, somethign strange happens.
All pages and posts disappear in the admin area and the navigation menu did not linked to the pages on the frontend. It was like no page or post was created yet. After disabling WMPL , all pages and posts were visible again in the admin-area and the navigation menu works fine again.
Any thoughts?

This is not what happens when I activate WPML on our development server with Daisho v1.0.6. All the posts are there. Only their translated versions are not there in admin panel.
Menus – you’re right – after activating plugin you need to re-attach and re-create them in different languages again.

Yes, you can just delete old folder and upload new one. I recommend doing backup copy!
Some things – like [Appearance > Menus] or [Appearance > Widgets] might need to be re-attached after updating.

Yes, since v1.0.3 there can be multiple portfolio pages. “Exclude portfolio categories” options is available under [Pages > Your Portfolio Page]. Such option is not available for front page.
ok… that brings up another question…. is it possible to have multiple categories for each portfolio? The project I’m thinking of using this theme for will have 3 separate portfolios with at least 4 or 5 categories for each portfolio… doable?
If you have 10 portfolio categories then you can make it like:
- Page #1 (Categories 1, 2, 3, 4)
- Page #2 (Categories 2, 5, 10)
- Page #3 (Categories 9, 8, 7)
Etc.

1) Unfortunately, no.
2) That’s because our style.css doesn’t exist anymore. Some plugin modified it perhaps and it broke paths. Font file can’t be found anymore. Please check that.
