When in search results, or either in a category page, the filter for subcategories only shows 1 subcategory, is there a way to display another step for a deeper subcategory (Category > Subcategory1 > Subcategory1a)

Hi, I am using journal 3 on opencart latest version.. When i search for something on the website and have Filter module activated, it takes around 7 seconds to load the result page.. but when i disable the filter module, it take 2 seconds for the same page.. Can you help in this? its taking way too long to load and need to be adjusted. Yes i do have all the cache settings enabled in journal.

Ive installed opencart lightning module which helps with loading time.. but filter module definitely slows down the page load on search pages.
Hi, there are a lot of factors that may affect store performance and filter, make sure you have php 7+ and your database is properly indexed (use Journal > System > Settings > Performance > Database) and filter response should be faster. Please file a ticket on our support page for more details.

Hi, that would not be possible since Journal 3 is a completely different theme so not directly updatable.
Coming from the old Journal 2, you’d have to use Journal 3 as a new installation.

I believe is the longest period Without any update. Is the theme Completed? Any update scheduled? At my opinion as 6 year user is That theme must gain some spark. How? You have to add some motion to the elements team. I Jumped to woocommerce for that REASON. Themes there seems more fresh. Hope one Day to Come Back here at journal. Have a Nice Day. Hey, I am using opencart 3.0.2 and just updated the Journal theme again (it was already latest version, but still). My error log is full of these: “2020-06-27 14:49:45 – PHP Warning: exec(): Unable to fork [jpegoptim—version 2>&1] in /home3/comicsfd/public_html/system/library/journal3/utils/img.php on line 80 2020-06-27 14:49:45 – PHP Warning: exec(): Unable to fork [cwebp -version 2>&1] in /home3/comicsfd/public_html/system/library/journal3/utils/img.php on line 80 ” although the setting is disabled. I see that many others users are also facing this. Can you help with this. My support has expired again. It would be really helpful if you could hep with this .

Thank you for the great theme. I am a web developer specializing in SEO. I just want to point out an improvement in the filters. Right now when you filter the URL structure changes to something like this: https://www.mysite.com.au/cookware/?fa175=18cm&fo13=81&fmin=90&fmax=276 It will be better for SEO if it was set up like this: https://www.mysitecom.au/cookware/?Size=18cm&color=blue&pricemin=90&pricemax=276This way search engines can see these filters and rank them better for what they are.
Hi, there’s no need for SEO friendly urls in filter module because those urls are generated dynamically when user clicks on a filter, they don’t exist in the source page therefore they are not crawlable by SEO engines.

both sites are Journal3 version 3.0.46
how can I definitively check what version I am running? I paid a developer to update my Journal 3 but suspect that he didnt. In the J3 admin It says 3.0.46 at the top left but this text itself can be modified right?

I purchased journal 3 and have created a website at www.extremenutritionstore.com and am using the opencart checkout as the payment gateway won’t accept your quick checkout option.
The problem I have is if you add a product to the cart then checkout and choose guest checkout that the unrequired fields e.g company, address 2 have a * next to the label. Can you tell me how to remove the * please

The problem that we have is that in the table oc_theme, in random periods a code like {% if home%} <style> ... </style> {% endif%} and common/header from journal appears which affects the website and it loops for ever.We have to delete it in order to work. Any advise?
