Hi, please check it seems journal-theme.com server is completely down!!
Hi, it works fine now, probably a temporary outage.
Best Regards.
I just got more than 5 reviews for a product, and i have only first 5 reviews showing up for a product. Never knew will have a problem like this. i see the pagination, but clicking on it does nothing. Where can i edit this?
Hi, this may not be something theme related, is everything working fine when using the default Opencart theme?
Best Regards.
Hello,
Is there anyway to prevent the mega header menu dissappears when you want to move the cursor to the menu?
Please look at this problem:
https://imgur.com/NqVHgr2Unfortunately, support has expired for me. Hope there is a simple solution for this.
Thank you very much!
Hi, try main menu full height in Journal > Header > Mega > Main Menu > Desktop Menu Bar > Menu Item Full Height.
Best Regards.
Hello,
Unfortunately, setting the Menu Item Full Height to “On” didn’t resolve the issue. The menu keeps getting away when the cursor goes back on the menu bar.
If it helps: i’m using the mega header module, with the menu button linked to a mega menu. (with categories in it) Strange enough, when I link the button to for example a flyout menu, it does work.
Thanks for the help!
You may have cache issues, try to clear them all.
Hi, I’ve cleared all cache (journal+browser) and also tried on another computer, but the problem still exists.
Sometimes, the menu just “flashes” back, and sometimes it just go away. I’ve made a new gif where you can see this:
https://imgur.com/LtxVeFNIf you can’t replicate this in our demos (like demo 3) there must be some interference on your end from possible modifications, we’d have to look at your setup so please file a ticket on our support page with temporary access to your store.
Best Regards.
Hi, I tried to submit a support ticket but unfortunately, my support is expired. (We had really big delays in starting with this shop)
Is there another way I could contact you? I’ve created temporary access logins.
Thanks Jonas
If you feel this is a bug you can send us a private message via the contact form on our profile page, however if it’s not theme-caused you’d have to renew support so we can better investigate.
Best Regards.
Hi,
I’ve sent you a private message, but in the meanwhile I fixed the problem by creating another menu module.
Thanks! Jonas
We’ll look into it.
Hi at the top it says theme is compatible with version 3.0.x yet in the specs part the highest version shown is 3.0.2 Can you confirm if this will work with OC Version 3.0.3.2 please? Many thanks
Hi, yes it is, Envato hasn’t updated the selection (sometimes software versions come out faster and they aren’t caught up).
However, Journal does support the latest OC version and always will, that’s we mention 3.0.x in general basically any .x will be covered.
Best Regards.
Hi DA! I want to ask, why my webp image not displaying on my website? is there any file that I should update? I’m talking about uploading webp image, not using webp compression from journal3 function.
Hi, Opencart does not have webp support and you cannot upload webp images, but you have wepb support in Journal by automatically converting images to webp support, please file a ticket on our support page if you need further assistance with this.
Best Regards.
Can I completely disable OC product image resizing and caching and let Journal “Fluid Images” do the job? Of course I will have to write the code for this in OpenCart. I simply want to know how the website would look if I upload an optimized images say 700×700 pixel to /image/catalog/ and use that image every time instead of the equal size image created in /image/cache/catalog? It is a total waste of disc space to have 5GB /image/catalog/ folder and a 20GB /image/cache/catalog with no clear per image optimization gain. Please let me know what you think. (Potentially I can keep the thumbnail cache and only get rid of the larger images)
Hi, there is no such option in Opencart nor Journal, some code changes may be needed, please consult with an Opencart developer for more information.
Best Regards.
Hi, I mentioned that I will write the code for that. My question to you was how the website would look if it was left to “fluid images” to resize the original 700×700 image.
Hi, this depends on the layout, we can’t say how it would look and that’s why image resize mechanism was implemented, so the image aspect ratio can be changed if needed.
Best Regards.
Hello! I found Catalog settings here: Product Listing – Products Per Row Thank you
Hello! Where can I change the ratio of the image and the other side (texts ..) in the list view? Or adjust the height of the list strip? I do not find such an opportunity below Skin\Product Listing\Product List Style…
Hi, that is not configurable in the list style since it should be dependent on the actual image size, the bigger the image, the smaller the list details.
For more info please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers.
Best Regards.
Ok, thank you. The lower image size is good now.
Hello! Where can I set the format the products (grid and list) appear under product/catalog? (Journal 3)
Hi, please look in Journal > Skins > Edit > Product Listing > ...
Best Regards.
Hello dear author!
First of all great work!
I know my support is expired, but i didnt ask anything yet… so if is not problem you can help me
I want to ask is there a way to activate zoom on photo gallery module? I want gallery images to be opened like product images.I find option: Large Image Zoom, but in gallery i didnt see any options like this? I see both use same gallry and its just not added in code probably… can you navigate me where and what i must do?
Thank you! Regards!
Hi, unfortunately that is not something available to the gallery module, it’s specific only to the main image at the product page.
Best Regards.
Thank you for fast asnwer! Cant i copy some code from product to gallery?
Unfortunately not, it’s not that simple as they are different scripts. You’d need a javascript programmer to do that. Our support does not cover core code changes, please consult with a developer.
Best Regards.
Something is up with the Journal Checkout. I have been using the default one most of the time, but since the new update, I switched to the Journal one. I’ve had 5 orders since the upgrade, about 10% fail to reach the checkout/success page, it shows a blank page instead, resulting in the callback failing, so although the payment is received, the order is still missing, and no emails sent etc. It’s happening with both Stripe and PayPal, which rules out it being a payment merchant problem.
Hi, we’ll look into it and we’ll provide a fix if needed in one of our next updates.
Best Regards.
Hi,
Yes please, it’s happening a lot, and there is more problems, lots of people keep emailing me when they try and continue to the payment, from the checkout, the loading icon just keeps spinning never progresses.
It gets worse, someone just tried to make a new order, and it came through and over wrote an old one, and the order had the products of the new one, and missing half of the name and address detail, but had the old order number, and no second payment.
So basically a partially filled out missing order overwrtie a completed successful order.
Not even sure how this is possible, but yet it happened.
Hi, we’ll investigate this further and we’ll provide an update if needed, until then, please file a ticket on our support page if you need further assistance.
Best Regards.
An update is needed. It’s also happening on the default checkout too, your other customers have also reported the fault. Please fix, is it possible to roll back? Can I upload 3.0.4.6 or is the SQL database changed because of 3.1
If the issue happens on the default Opencart checkout too then it is surely not theme related, we don’t modify the default Opencart checkout at all. Regarding v.3.0.46 downgrade, it should be possible, reupload v.3.0.46 files over current ones and then refresh Opencart modifications and clear Opencart template cache.
Best Regards.
It’s theme related, others have reported it. I think more so the theme since the upgrade probably is having issues with more browsers or devices…
It’s happened about 7 or 8x now about 15% of orders. in the last 9 days. I need to see if I can find out if there is a pattern with the browser or device.
More concerning is that my sales plummeted 50% since I upgraded and users have reported the pay button button gets stuck, I have seen this myself too, but I can’t see any pattern to it. I’ve had steady sales now for most of this year, it dropped of straight after the upgrade.
This isn’t something we can confirm without inspecting your setup.
We haven’t had any tickets where we can investigate this so please file a support ticket on our support page with access to your setup and we’ll take a look.
Best Regards.
Just like I expected, when I restore a downgrade without restoring the database, it causes problems.
2020-07-13 22:56:49 – PHP Notice: Array to string conversion in system/library/journal3/options/image.php on line 8
When optional extras are added to cart.
Everything is identical to before, except the database (not possible to restore that, as too many new customers and orders have came in and I don’t want to lose them.
Hi, some changes like Logo Multilanguage may indeed be affected by downgrading the theme, you’d have to file a ticket on our support page if you need assistance because as we add new features and functionalities some may not be supported if you go backwards.
Best Regards.
By the way, 3.1.1 fixed the issue with the checkout success page not loading, It’s been fine for 2 weeks….
Today I upgraded to 3.1.3 and it broke it again, so I’ve put back 3.1.1 for now.
Hi, we are not aware of such issue, please make sure you have followed update instructions carefully and it should work fine after update too.
Best Regards.
Well you are aware about it as I told you about it multiple times if you scroll up. I think you mean you can’t find the issue.
I have been using your theme for 7 years, I know how to update it, I do almost every update. Just certain recent ones are causing issues with the checkout success page, except 3.1.1, that’s good. so I’ll stick to that until you figure it out.
Hi, if the issue is not present in v.3.1.1 then it’s unlikely to happen in the latest version because we haven’t changed anything significant in the checkout page since. Make sure all files have been properly uploaded to your server and Opencart modifications have been refreshed after, as well as clearing Opencart template cache.
Best Regards.
Before buying the template I researched the comments and you stated several times that it was compatible with multi-store. After installing, I realized that you are bypassing the opencart default logo structure by having to upload the logo through the template admin. Am I missing something? I don’t see a way to have different logos with each store. Hopefully this is something easily fixed or I just wasted $60. Please advise. Thanks
Hi, you can create different skins per store, thereby having all the options within, including the logo, available per store.
Although Journal fully supports multistore, the regular licence only covers a single end product, which in this case means a single domain. If you wish to use Journal on different stores/domains, a regular license is required for each. Please refer to our docs on multistore. https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/workflow/multistore
Best Regards.
Hello, in admin / journal / system / import-export, the fields themeforest user and purchase code are missing . I ‘m using oc. 3.0.2.0
Hi, those are only visible in our demo admin, not yours.
Best Regards.
The procedure for installing demo1 as in your documentation require to type my themeforest user and purchase code. Those two filds are not visible (no inputs to add)
Like I said, those are only visible in our demo admin, only if you want to export a demo. So if you want to use demo 1, you access that admin at https://www.journal-theme.com/admin and in the export section you’ll see the themeforest user/password: https://take.ms/KtTfY
You should watch the demo import video here https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/demos/demo/
Best Regards.
Thank you, all the best !
Hello, Thank you for the latest updates, journal has been working well for my websites.
I have an issue that has been ongoing for 6 months. It is not related to the Journal 3.1 version, it was present in previous versions. I have a cart cache problem. The cart is being cached on pages and does not update very often. I went though your demos and could not replicate the issue. https://www.minosaver.comIf you add two products to the cart and then remove one of them, the page will still display the product until you do an F5 reload. Same thing with adding stuff to the cart, but going back to a previous cached page. OC 3.0.2, PHP 7.3. No other cache extensions. I can disabled OC cache to fix it of course, but that obviously makes everything slower. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix? -Thank you.
Hi, that doesn’t seem to be something theme related, it may be an Opencart related issue, please make sure everything works fine when using the default Opencart theme first.
Best Regards.
One major issue that we face is on one page checkout for iframe based payments, when cross (cancel) button is clicked on the iframe, the loading icon does not stop. This causes issues. As the customer is stuck. And only refresh page is the option
Hi, we’ll investigated this and we’ll provide an update if needed, please file a ticket on our support page for future assistance.
Best Regards.
Hi,
I think I am out of support window. But it is bug. See this link for video:

Hi, we are not aware of such issue, can you replicate it in our demos?
Best Regards.
Hi, I think that function Tabs Min Width doesn’t work. I don’t see any impact on the page. Please, check this screenshoot https://prnt.sc/tayrra

Hi, please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers.
Best Regards.
3.1 update looks pretty good. Thank you for the fixes. However the video background on the main rows for layout appears to be broken.
Hi, not sure how you mean, can you replicate this in our demos? Or show us an example on your end?
Best Regards.
Nevermind, I went through your demo 5. Came back and enabled my video background and it worked. Maybe a cache issue.
We installed journal 3 on our ishop6.com website but it does not stop reload itself Repeatedly
Hi, you store isn’t running Journal 3, that’s an older version of Journal 2 and it’s working fine in our testing.
For more info please file a ticket on our support page and consult with our developers.

Hi,
I have made a comment about this before and unfortunately I have to do it again since I think it’s an important and crucial feature update that you have to make.
It is about the Blog Comments in the Admin Panel!
The way it is now they are actually unusable! The reason is that there is virtually no filtering so that one can make sense of what is happening there! We just see a bunch of comments in a chaotic state! ... The only filter of phrasing is of very limited usefulness! Filtering for at least Date and Approved/Pending are urgently needed! Without these filters the Comments are just impossible to manage!
This feature is so crucial in my opinion, and currently very essential to me, that I’m sorry to say that if it’s not improved soon I will have to lower my rating! ... And the reason for this is simple: A developer doesn’t add a feature to an app, a program, or a theme, that is actually unusable and eventually doesn’t correct it! ...
I will finish saying that this theme is actually really great! ... But please, make the necessary improvements to incomplete features sooner! ...
Best Regards
Hi, indeed this has been under consideration and from what I gather it should come in the next month or so, please check back once again on this around that time.
On the other hand, although we listen very carefully to our customers, we don’t respond to threats and demands for features at the risk of bad ratings. That’s not how this works, if something is indeed very useful/valuable and heavily requested it will most definitely be added (if technically possible) but not under threat.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I’m sorry to hear that you what you got from what I said was a sense of threat, but that was not my intention at all!! A few months ago when I brought this issue to your attention in a kind manner I didn’t get the sense that you listened very carefully as you just said. Back then you said that this feature, though you were kind of aware of its necessity, it was not really on the top of your priorities and uncertain of when it would be implemented.
However, the point is, as I already said in my previous comment, that without filtering the administration of comments is actually impossible and their presentation almost chaotic! This in turn renders the whole Blog feature almost as irrelevant! So, my request was not a demand at all for you to add a feature as a personal favor to me, just to accommodate me. Actually I was trying to point out that by adding this (filtering) feature will really make the Blog feature as it is really supposed to be.
So, it was really frustrating to see how you didn’t realize how basic and essential this feature was back then, and now that you just released a major update the feature was not added!
Anyway, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding, and I understand that surely you have a lot of work and things to do for a theme like this. Again, I really appreciate your great work! ...
Best Regards!
There are lots of things we’ve already implemented, and we will add this too, just don’t have a definite timing now but will come in one of our next updates. Thanks again!
Thanks!
Just let me add something that I missed to say in a little more detail. As everyone knows, a Blog is about posts and comments. Without the comments a Blog becomes just a website with pages, etc. If comments are made in a Blog that need to be answered or approved, somehow they need to be easily found, otherwise if comments are not found and consequently not approved nor answered then it looks like they are ignored(!), and this way the whole website suffers as a consequence, as it might look abandoned! ...
For example, when we make comments here an email notification is sent and then we know we can answer. Since there is no such feature in the Blog you implemented in Journal, then if the comments’ management has also no Date and Pending filtering is impossible to find the new ones that need to be approved or answered! ... That’s why this filtering feature is so basic and necessary! ...
Thanks again …
Thanks, it’s being investigated.
