Why can’t we add styles via the child themes?

I have added the following on child theme’s function.php: add_action(‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘enqueue_parent_styles’); function enqueue_parent_styles() { wp_enqueue_style(‘parent-style’, get_template_directory_uri().’/style.css’); }

Tried adding new styles on: child themes style.css – no luck child themes assets>css>app.css – no luck

After the last update, the portfolio filter stopped working, just showing “All”, the rest when filtering does not show any content. Can anyone help?

After the newest Wordpress 5.5 Update my website has turned into empty white screen. After testing plugins, cache and themes it seems like Revolution theme is causing this error.
