The post type name is different along with some meta keys which is why just switching the theme will not work.

Is there an option of having video based (embedded video) recipe alongside with photos in template? Not seeing video button as a good solution.

If you like to embed the video then you can directly embed them directly in the description of the Recipes.
For example, you can upload the video of the recipes to Youtube or Vimeo and add their iframe code to the description.

1. Images for the steps isn’t available on the front end for now. It is in our update list and will be added in coming future.
2. Adding a new custom taxonomy needs code changes so if you are familiar with PHP and WordPress development then you can add it easily. Otherwise you need to hire a developer who can do it for you.
3. This task needs some code changes as well. You need to have knowledge of HTML/CSS as well as PHP and WordPress for that.

For the AMP, we are not yet working on that direction. However, I have tested AMP WordPress plugin and after installing it, the AMP seems to be compatible on google tester as an additional link.
We will work on the AMP integration soo but for now I can’t give you a proper timeline for that. You can use the plugin for now.

AMP plugins working for web site well but not for inspryrecipe plugin, When I activate AMP plugin, It’s cannot show recipe ingredients and steps. As result with amp pages rich snippets not working.

The update of the theme is a time taking process. However, you are right about its being a minor task. We have to manage it properly in the theme.
I have made the change in the plugin so please update the ‘inspiry-recipes’ plugin on your website. If you don’t get the option to update it then you need to deactivate and delete the existing one to get the install option again.
You will find new URL field with each step that you need to fill for schema.

It would be great if this url field was filled in by default with the url of the recipe. But, if you want, you can change the url manually in the method field.

The URL is for that specific step related source which is why it will not be fit to add the current recipe URL which user is already on. This thing can be done custom for a specific user but not for a general theme.

Deleting the plugin will not remove your recipes. However, it is recommended to have weekly or max, monthly backups of your site even if you are not doing anything like this change.

1. Ingredients can be properly managed in different sets in the front end recipe submit template. However, there is no option available for listing the existing ingredients. It is a good suggestion and will be added to our update list so that we can add it one of the future updates.
2. The advanced recipe search form is not yet fully customizable. We are planning to put ingredients in it in the upcoming update but for now it is not part of it.

how does a new chef signup? – does the theme allow multiple chefs to post? – that means it is basically a multi-author wordpress behaviour. does it support?

New user can sign up to submit a recipe as a normal WordPress behaviour if the registration is enabled from the backend. Chef’s are being added by the admin as ‘chef’ is a separate post type. However, the front end user can select his name from the chefs list if it is added already.
You can allow as many authors as you want to submit recipes on your website. They can also manage their own recipes separately from the front end as well as backend.
