Hello, I am using the services grid and would like a custom order. I can see there is the option for a meta value on the service grid component but I not sure how I assign each service a value or number that can then be used for the ordering. Can you help? Thanks

Here is the way to create a custom order on the Services grid using additional meta values:
- edit a Service
- locate the Custom fields section. If it’s not activated, go to Screen Settings (top right of the page) and fill the box next to the option
- go to Add New Custom field
- click on Enter new
- on the Name field enter a special name (for using it later on the element)
- on the Value field enter the order position for the service
- click on Add Custom Field
- update the page
repeat the process for each Service. Then:
- edit the page you need to use the Services Grid
- edit the Services Grid settings
- on the Data tab, from the Drop Down list select Meta Value
- on the Order By: Meta Key field enter the special name
- from the Short Order drop-down list select Ascending or Descending
- update the page
Hello, On most of the xenia specific element there are class names specified. It would be useful if there was a list of these classes and what they do for when editing those elements. Is that available? Thanks!

It is possible to add a video. You only need to add and activate the “Slider Revolution” plugin on the site. It is a third-party (premium) plugin that allows for adding rich content on the Media Panel area. We support this plugin out-of-the-box.

After adding and activating the plugin, create a new slider (where you can add a video). Next, go to Page Options > Media Panel > Default Panel Type and select Slider Revolution. Finally, from the drop-down list that appears below, select the slider you created before.
Note that, the plugin is not included with the theme. The default sliders support static images and .gifs only.
Can I accept booking/reservation without asking for payments at all?
Yes, in fact, this is the only thing you can do. Hotel Xenia has integrated a simple booking request function that allows for interacting with the visitors. It’s not a complete booking system. After receiving the request you can reply to the visitor regarding the availability of the property, accept the reservations etc.
Some information before I purchase the theme: can I add an extra field in the booking form? e.g: I want to add a textarea field for extra information that the guest can fill. Thank you.

I set “Footer Bar Navigation” as a menu in “3rd Footer Bar Column” but it’s showing the main menu in the footer. Page settings are also properly set.

The ideas is not to have a reservation from the page but we would like the client to see if there is availability or not. Does the calendar show if there are busy days?

So, we guess your client needs a bookings functionality to manage and display the rooms availability. Since this functionality is not a theme territory, you have to use a specialized plugin for this purpose.
We usually recommend the Pinpoint Booking System plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking-system/ ), but most of the popular ones will fit to your implementation. With some easy tweaks ( not something technical, just options configuration ), you will be able to configure our availability request element to work with any plugin out there.

Yes. Actually you can manage every aspect of the amenities index, by visiting Theme Options > Content > Single Room Post > Amenities > Amenities Index section.
This index defines the amenities list available on each room post and it allows you to change title, description, icon ( library or custom ) and the display order.

By default, Plethora Sliders can only host images. However, you can add a third-party slider like Slider Revolution which allows for adding rich media. The particular plugin is officially supported by our theme. You only need to add and activate it on the site; then create a new slider and go to Page Options of the particular page to assign it on the Media Panel area.

We guess that you are referring to a booking system, synchronized with multiple services at the same time. If this is the case, then the answer is that Xenia does not offer this functionality.
In general, Xenia comes with some generic form elements that can be configured to pass user data to a booking info collection form of your website OR directly to the availability search page of an external booking management service.For any other cases, you have to use a specialized plugin.
As there is a huge number of booking solutions out there, we cannot suggest a specific one. On the other hand, we can guarantee that our customer support team will assist you solving any theme-related issue that might arise.

how to make more static front pages for polylang ?

WordPress can only have one front page for each language. Note that, we do not officially support Polylang; we recommend WPML. However, if you have been using the plugin to add multilingual support to a site with Hotel Xenia, it will work (based on several reports we have from users). You will need the Pro version though if you are planning to translate some parts of the theme who require string translation.
Regarding the home page, the process is pretty straightforward; you only need to create the translation. Then, depending on the method, the visitor should be able to see the translated page directly or by switching to the prefered language. In any case, on WordPress, you can only have one front page for each language.

It might be a problem with network availability. It happens some times. We recommend trying again. To avoid installing WordPress again you can simply use a plugin like WPReset to clear the database. Then, activate the theme again and repeat the import process. If the issue persists, contact us via our support desk to investigate the case. For better results, enable the debug.log and try at least twice before contacting us.

Hi, How do I add custom fields to loop_grid-room-classic-vertical.php? I tried adding the custom fields on the add/edit page but how do I use them in the grid template. The template is using a mustache template engine but I cant seem to get it to work. Thanks in advance.
