Importing a new demo is usually recommended on a new site, however you can still do it on a live site as well. In the Salient options panel > demo importer tab, you can import the eCommerce ultimate demo and choose to import the content or just the theme options: https://ibb.co/Kz8QKvY
In either case, make sure you back up your current theme options before doing so in case you ever want to revert to your current design settings.

No, all of the site content will remain after installing a new demo. However, your settings within the Salient options panel will be changed to the new settings that match the imported demo when selecting the “theme options” option: https://ibb.co/HXRPS34 If you only need that and do not need any sample content, unselect the option titled “Demo Content”.

Hi. I’m trying to use the CSS property “position: sticky” on a column with some text that is next to an image, but nothing I am doing seems to work. Is there some coding in your theme that would block the use of this CSS property? I also tried a plugin (https://www.toastplugins.co.uk/free/sticky-items/) and that did not work either. Any advice you can give for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you’re not using an image based logo you can adjust the sizing of the logo in the Salient options panel > typography tab via the “Logo Font” field. The navigation sizing can also be adjusted in the same area via the “Navigation Font” field.
If you’re using an image for your logo, the size of that is also defined in the Salient options, in the header navigation tab via the “Logo Height” field.

when i update this file, the composer doesent work and save the exist content empty. i use js_composer_salient 5.7 and i cant update to newer, to many changes in the theme. is the $id and $post_id the problem?

There’s too many other changes throughout the framework to override the entire file. Have you tried to simply use the newer version of the plugin while keeping your old version of the theme active?
Hi, My video background plays everywhere except for mobile Safari. Desktop clients and Mobile Google Chrome work perfectly, but not mobile on iOS. Do you know why? It does work perfectly in a previous version of the theme. Thanks!

Hi, I’ve set up a slider revolution slider on the home page. I would like for the page header to sit over the slider revolution but can’t see how to do this. Could you please help? I would like the slider to be full screen with just the salient menu showing over the slider.

The column spacing can be set in the Salient options panel > general settings tab via the option labeled “Column Spacing”. However, the minimum is 30px. Altering that would require custom CSS: https://pastebin.com/ewutqGD0

Hi, looks like the recent update has put some padding to the left of any full-width page content now (when it contains 2 cells within it). This used to work fine before and stretch the image all the way to the left. Is there an easy way to fix this?

I’m not seeing that occur from my end when looking at your URL. It seems like it could be related to cached old minified files. Have you tried to temporarily disable your CSS minification plugin and clear your browser cache since the update?
Thanks for the quick reply. You’re (partially) right. I can only see the issue when I’m logged in as an admin and I see the page as an admin. When I log out then this space is not there anymore.
One other thing I just noticed is that when I’m logged in as admin I can see the widget at the left bottom corner of the page showing correctly (I’m using the “Nectar Popular Posts” widget, and I’ve selected the “Hover Featured Image” style. However, when I log out and look at the page again the widget looks different and doesn’t display as it should (hover featured image).
I wonder why this is? This all just started happening as soon as I updated the theme earlier today.

Hello, We love your theme and have been using it for years!
I am having an issue on our portfolio page.
Under “Our Work” the items we have listed under “Web Design” are no longer loading the URL when clicked (they used to). Instead, I am now getting an empty lightbox.
We need to keep the “lightbox only” feature for the portfolio display of all other items, but for the “Web Design” portfolio category we need the links to go directly to the websites specified.

It looks like your Salient portfolio plugin is using v1.1, which is outdated. Can you try updating that in your WP admin > plugins section to the current release (v1.6)?

I currently can’t access your site URL, can you verify that it’s correct/public? The mini cart in the header outputs the default WooCommerce “Cart” widget. Salient doesn’t actually handle the markup inside the cart. Have you tested for a conflict by temporarily deactivating third party plugins / switching to the parent theme (if you’re using a child theme).

I tested the switch to the parrent theme. No result. I tested switch off 80% of all plug ins. But nothing has changed.

You would need to create a row that would have the desired button and then use CSS to position it. As an example, you could give the row a class name “floating-button” and then use the following CSS:

Hello, your theme is great! I’m using the same video file for a row background in the header and footer.
I’ve noticed that this causes a loading glitch, possibly because wordpress is trying to load the file twice? When I disable the video in the footer it seems to load faster.
Is there a way to defer loading the video background in the footer so the page loads faster?

Unfortunately there’s no built-in option to defer or load video asynchronously at the moment. Can you describe in more detail what the glitch is you’re seeing specifically – are you just referring to the speed or are you seeing something else occur while it’s loading?

You can allow that image to display in its natural aspect ratio by using the “Single image” page builder element within the left side column, instead of setting the image as a background image on the column.
