Please check if on Product page everything is OK on product reviews. When there is more when 5 rewievs paginations is appearing, but it is looks like that rewievs pagintaion is not working and next pagination review is not openning. Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/v4rdhk

I am very much interested in buying Journal 3 theme. I am fan of Demo 3, I like it very much.
I am currently using OC 2.03 and would like to upgrade and shift to OC 3.0 using Journal 3 theme.
As my website users are mostly mobile based, I need a website which is mobile optimized and have a good google page speed score.
Upon testing the demo 3 version, I was surprised that the page speed score is so bad. Score was 39 for mobile and 88 for desktop.
Can you please comment on this. How this score can be improved?
Hi, that’s actually a decent score. Have you tested any other real ecommerce websites like Amazon, Ebay, or some of your favorite stores?
Check them through the page speed and you’ll probably be surprised. Not even the Google search page (google.com), which is essentially an empty page, cannot ace that score on mobile.
Check out the page speed on the official Google company website too. Although it loads very fast (perceived performance), it scores miserably: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fabout.google%2F
Our demos are pretty loaded with various features to show what’s possible but your store may not be as loaded and thus much lighter.

Hi, that’s not something theme related, maybe there are some restrictions on your hosting preventing access to that page, please make sure everything works fine when using the default Opencart theme and then ask your hosting provider to take a look at the server logs in order to see why this issue can happen.

However, you can add different modules on different product pages via the product rules options.

I am considering using the Journal theme on the latest version of Opencart (3.0.3.6). However, I am seeing a lot of comments in the official Opencart community that speak against the usage of the Journal theme. It mentions that Journal does not abide by the OpenCart standards and should not be used in a professional setting. Can you please comment on this?

First of all, we love Opencart and the Opencart community loves us back – by community I mean those who actually use Opencart to create real stores, the real users of Opencart.
For the past 7 years, thousands upon thousands of Opencart users keep choosing Journal (and lots of them come back for more licenses as they create more and more stores) because they can’t imagine Opencart without Journal, without the endless possibilities it offers.
Opencart by default doesn’t provide any customizations from a design perspective, and also makes it hard to add advanced options without modifying some of the code. In order for us to provide such insane amount of customizable options, like variables and reusable styles, multi-purpose modules and page builders incorporated in the mega menus and product page tabs, we had to create a solid codebase of our own on top of what Opencart offers.
With that said, some of what you read in the “official” community is coming from various extension developers whose Opencart plugins don’t work with Journal and they refuse to make them compatible. On top of that, Journal comes bundled with 30+ modules and countless functionalities that directly compete with some individual extensions that are sold on the Opencart store. (Some extensions there cost more than the entire Journal package). So yeah, we get our fair amount of hate from some people for the value we offer to our customers.
Ever since we launched Journal 1 back in 2013 we kept adding more and more features to the same package enriching our customers experiences with every update. We chose this route instead of creating separate themes or extensions because we didn’t want to compete with ourselves on our customers money – we wanted to offer the single best possible product, with the best value for money, in the Opencart category, in the world.
You can go back in this comment thread and read through more than 13.000 comments from day one in March 2013. You’ll see how we’ve engaged with our customers every day, listening, answering questions, taking feedback. Hi, that may not be compatible with Journal, you’d have to consult with the extension developer.
But you can disable the default Journal autocomplete from Journal > Styles > Search > [Active Style] > Auto Suggest > Status.

Is there a way for the option images to be able to zoom when clicked? Also when image size is changed in the skin (of the Product Option Images) they do not change on the front end…
Hi, zoom on those elements is not possible unfortunately but for their size make sure you don’t have a limiting max width applied in Journal > Styles > Product Page > [Active Style] > Product Details > Options > Push Options > Image Styles > Image Max Width.

Hi, Journal 2 is obsolete but we can help you with any issues you may have, however we cannot add new features or provide modifications or customizations, like features from J3, you can get support covering J2 related issues only with built-in features in that theme.

Hello, is there any possibility that … using OC2.3.0.2 in catalog mode, the currency symbol can enter whatever you want in each product? I have many products … some are priced in dollars and others in euros. For this reason, at the time of entering the price … add the symbol of euros or dollars depending on the product..
I reiterate that it is in catalog mode, you will not use any cart.
Hi, it appears that Opencart does not have this multi-currency per products possibility, and we don’t modify the system at that level to allow for such functionality.
Try to ask on the Opencart forum to see if this is somehow possible in Opencart.

Hello, is it possible for the product options on product page (push radio or push checkbox) to be visible, maybe faded, even of they are not available or have zero quantity?
