Hi. Do you have support for WooCommerce 5.1.0? I do need to implement your theme in one of my websites https://www.eurovamarketing.com/
Thank you very much, have a nice weekend
Hi there,
Huber is fully compatible with WooCommerce 5.1.0.
Hi, I cant get the “no items found” off each of my Hub pages. It’s stuck there at the bottom of each page. How do you take this off?
Hi there,
The ThemeForest comments area is only for pre-sale questions. If you are looking for theme support, please open a support ticket at https://ghostpool.ticksy.com
Thanks.
Hi Ghostpool!
Any news about your next theme ? I didn’t see a thing on your twitter account.
Is your new theme will be compatible with huber posts and hub ? Transfer will be easy ?
I am searching for a video game template with review system but the price seems to be very expensive…so I looked to Aardvark but this theme does not have all the features that Huber has…I love Gauge and Huber design so I’m asking if I have to wait for your next awesome work !! ...or not
Hi there,
I’ll hopefully be adding some screenshots shortly. The theme itself should be released within a couple of months.
The new theme has no compatibility with Huber. This is something I still need to look into. The two themes are built so differently it may not be possible.
Great work on the theme template.
Before I purchase, I need to know if you support the below plugin. Can you run a test to make sure it does, please.
https://codecanyon.net/item/coinpress-coinmarketcap-for-wordpress/22810400Thanks in advance,
D
Hi there,
Unfortunately I can’t run tests for individual plugins, not to mention I would need to purchase this plugin in order to do that.
I don’t see any reason why it would not work.
Hi! in this page layout: https://huber.ghostpool.com/demo-reviews/resident-evil-7-biohazard-review/ is it possible to enable audio for background video? Can there be an icon to disable? Thanks
Hi there,
You can insert an actual video in the page header which will have audio and controls e.g https://huber.ghostpool.com/demo-reviews/pokemon-go-review/
This is disabled on background videos – you would need to edit the theme files to enable this.
Hi, please tell me where to find the huber-plugin.pot file for translation? it is not in the documentation for the specified settings

Thanks.
hi is it possible that different users can rate/ review the same product?
Hi there,
Different users can leave a user rating on any page you add the user rating widget (where you see the stars).
They can also write user reviews for a hub page.
First, great work on the theme! I am very satisfied
I have a small issue, my footer disappears when I visit the website on mobile. Is there an option to active the footer in mobile use? My website: best-spotify-playlists.com. Thank you
Hi there,
The widgets disappear in the footer on mobiles – this is the expected behaviour. If you’re seeing everything disappear please email me at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact with your WordPress URL and admin login details and I’ll take a closer look.
Thanks so much, this is really kind. I just sent you a contact message at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact
I saw in the description that the visual composter comes with the theme, is there enough functionality to implement the above idea? Or is it better to buy WPBakery Page Builder?
Hi there,
I’m not sure what you mean? The WPBakery Page Builder plugin that comes with the theme is the exact same version you can purchase separately.
Hi)
Please tell me this topic is assigned to one domain? I have a test domain, can I install a theme on it and configure it and then transfer it to another domain, and delete the theme from the test domain? and another question when buying a theme is the installation documentation included, and a list of recommended plugins?
Hi there,
Yes you can do that.
Yes it comes with documentation which you can view here: https://ghostpool.com/help/huber/help.html
Hi, I wanted to clarify one more question before buying. Is it possible to customize the layout of the site so that the advertising banner can be cribbed to the entire page (background), approximately as you indicated in the demo version in the section features – full page header post?
The full page header post only shows the post/page featured image it will not display ads. You will need to use a plugin such WP Advanced Ads which allows you to add background ads.
https://wpadvancedads.com/?ref=132good afternoon, can this topic be translated into Russian? I saw in the comments that there were problems with the translation through loco translate, is it possible to do it somehow manually? Best regards
Hi there,
You can translate the theme using PoEdit manually also.
I’m not aware of any issues with Loco Translate – a comment doesn’t mean there’s a systematic problem, it could be an issue specific to that commenter.
Hi, thanks for the answer) please answer a couple more questions: 1) is it possible on homepage 1 at the top on three squares to display news not only game ratings, but also game news, articles, etc. is it possible to make a slider that will show news from other categories 2) on the main homepage 1 is it possible to move the top news category up instead of featured reviews? Then finish off more news boxes with a read more button, so that when you click, more news is loaded without switching to another page? Further on the same homepage 1, is it possible to add several tabs with news subtypes on the top news category? 3) what is the principle of adding news and reviews and a forum to the game page? Is it all done manually when publishing by specifying tags? I apologize in advance for the amateurish questions, but I haven’t worked with Wordpress for a very long time)
1) Yes you display news articles as well. There is no slider option. Just the 1,2 or 3 square panel.
2) Homepage 1 is a fixed layout and there is no option to move things around, but you can create your own page layout using the WPBakery Page Builder which will allow you to do this and add tabs. You can see how the other homepage examples utilise WPB.
3) When you create a hub page (by selecting a hub option from the a dropdown menu), it will automatically set up your reviews, news, videos tabs. Then you can associate a news article, review or video with a hub page (just like you do with posts and categories) and it will automatically display in the relevant section. With forums you need to use bbPress to manually create the forums, you can then add the forum ID on a hub page so it shows a forum tab.
Hello! I read that you are planning to release a new theme for a gaming site, out of all that I have seen yours are the most suitable, but I still need to modify it to fit my needs. I wanted to ask where you can see what the new template is and what functionality it has, maybe it will better suit my requirements?
Hi there,
You cannot currently see the new theme as I’m still working on it. It will have all the hub and review functionality of the Huber, all the functionality of my latest theme Aardvark and tons more. I will be releasing some more information on the theme, including screenshots shortly. Follow me on Twitter @ghostpool to keep updated.
Thank you, I hope you won’t have to wait long! The last question is, do you accept suggestions from users? If so, maybe it is worth adding functionality to the “WHERE TO BUY” block that will allow you to pull up the current price of the game from connected stores and sort the games by cost? Or is this feature already implemented? I just didn’t fully understand how this block was made.
Suggestions are welcomed.
Huber doesn’t have this feature. I’m not sure how it would work, how would you pull the price data from an external site?
I know one site that has implemented such a functionality, it is Russian-language, at least you can translate the site through Google Chrome and understand what it is about. Everything is done through the API by way of XML, which gives the store to its customers. The site administrator injects the XML into the desired section. Website: https://vgtimes.ru/games/red-dead-redemption-2/buy/#
So it sounds like the site that provides the pricing data would need to provide an API to hook into. This is something that I would consider custom work as it’s a very specific request and not something I’ll be including in the new theme.
does it support WPML ?
does it support RTL ?
Hi there,
The theme has not been tested with WPML and does not have RTL support.
i can see in comments that the theme is tested with wpml ?
I don’t see anywhere that I said that it has been tested with WPML? I only say that it should work with the theme, but I can’t guarantee this of course.
Is there a way to import my 100+ reviews of wpreview pro to huber?
Hi there,
It’s unlikely the reviews from your previous theme will display correctly in Huber as they probably use completely different ways of handling your review data. So in short the answer is no unfortunately.
Hey there,
It’s been a while since I wrote. You mentioned some time back that you were contemplating a replacement for TheReview. Is this project initiated? Do you have a projected release date?
Is HUBER a suitable replacement for conversion? ... Or should I wait for a new theme?
If “yes” to HUBER, I have questions…
I will start by prefacing that I intend to make a full copy of my site in a new AWS EC2 instance for staging the new theme to make sure everything is working.
1. Our site has well in excess of 4000 pages (primarily hub pages). Will these properly convert to the new single-page format without issue?
2. I have a VERY large number of fields leveraged by the AJAX filters. Will these tables, filters, and functionality migrate over properly?
3. My site has a very strong SEO value from direct linking to the movie reviews we have posted. We have an uncountable number of backlinks we’ve developed over the years (well over 400K) that need to be preserved.
Under the old theme the hub page links look something like this:
What will the new link formats look like? Will I have to manually create redirects for all relevant pages to preserve our backlinks? What is the recommended approach? Is there a tool that can easily do this through some semi-automated process or batch upload from a CSV? What would you do?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi there,
I’m working on a new magazine and review theme. It is unlikely to be compatible with The Review or Huber theme in the sense that it will keep the review scores. I have no ETA on this.
Huber is a review theme like The Review so it can certainly be used as a replacement. However please note Huber is no longer receiving feature updates, just essential updates including bug fixes.
1) What IS converted
Hubs no longer use child pages for tabs. The Reviews, News, Images and Videos tabs are now part of the hub page. The Theme Converter converts your hub pages moving all your associated reviews, news, videos and images to the new system. The following is also converted:
- Associated reviews, news, videos and images. - Site ratings, user ratings, multi rating criteria, good/bad points, total user votes, your current ratings. - You can convert your release date hub field to an actual date field. - Hub categories and hub fields. - Your custom hub tabs will be displayed after the default hub tabs (Reviews, News, Images, Videos, Forums). - Affiliate links. - Following data for logged in users. - Page header, layout, sidebar, video settings.
What is NOT converted
Your hub awards from Gauge or The Review are not supported by this theme currently.
2) I’m not sure what features you are referring to? Are you using specific WPB elements? If so, please let me know which.
3) Huber uses posts instead of pages by default, but you can use pages. Hub and review posts/pages can have the same URL as before – this is dependant on your permalink structure.
“I’m working on a new magazine and review theme. It is unlikely to be compatible with The Review or Huber theme in the sense that it will keep the review scores.”
- Are you saying that the new theme will convert everything, but the review categories/scores will have to be manually recreated after the initial conversion?
“I have no ETA on this.”
- I appreciate you have no firm release date, but can you broadly guesstimate when this theme will be available? (e.g. before the end of 2020, Q2 next year, etc.). We need to make an informed business decision.
“2) I’m not sure what features you are referring to? Are you using specific WPB elements? If so, please let me know which.”
- If you recall, I had a ticket with you well over a year ago regarding performance issues because we have more than 20 Hub Fields with 1000s of unique values and more than 20 Hub categories. On the front-end, we are using your AJAX filter functionality to enable users to perform complex menu-based queries against these values. (reference: https://foundfootagecritic.com).
- Will this functionality convert to Huber?
- Will this functionality convert under the replacement for TheReview?
“3) Huber uses posts instead of pages by default, but you can use pages. Hub and review posts/pages can have the same URL as before – this is dependant on your permalink structure.”
- What I’m driving at is that since Huber collapses the multi-page hub into a single page (or post), can the individual tabs have unique URLs that will mirror the original website paths so the site’s backlinks are not lost? If so, is there a defined process during the conversion to achieve this? Is there a written process we can follow to achieve this?
- Will the above answer also apply to the future replacement of TheReview?
FINAL QUESTION…
- Would you be open to having us beta-test thereview replacement as you get to the point where you have a functional prototype? Our site running “TheReview” has 100K+ unique monthly visitors and we have 40+ other websites using various other themes with very high traffic. I have no problems purchasing the theme when it’s ready, but would like to contribute as an early adopter in a private staging area, where my team can help flesh out bugs and better understand how to use it most effectively. We really like the work that you do and are vested in the continued use of your themes (contact: michael@playnowmedia.com).
“Are you saying that the new theme will convert everything, but the review categories/scores will have to be manually recreated after the initial conversion?”
There are no plans to make it compatible at all. The theme’s being built completely differently making it too difficult to make it backwards compatible with earlier themes. Review categories will still remain as they’re just ordinary post categories.
“I appreciate you have no firm release date, but can you broadly guesstimate when this theme will be available? (e.g. before the end of 2020, Q2 next year, etc.). We need to make an informed business decision.”
It will likely be Q1 of next year.
2) This functionality will not convert to either Huber or the new theme.
3) Huber uses endpoints for the tab URLs. You can customise the endpoint slug but the first part of the URL will always be that of the hub page itself e.g.
Hub: http://domain.com/hub-post-name Review Tab Endpoint: http://domain.com/hub-post-name/reviews
Where reviews can be customized. There is no process or feature to create backlinks to your previous hub structure in Huber or in the new theme unforutnately.
Thanks, I’ve taken down your email and will be in touch down the line to see if you’re still available for beta testing.
I realize I’m not using the correct forum for this next question, but I have no other avenue.
My instance of TheReview is not working properly. I can no longer add site ratings to new and existing reviews. None of the buttons in the “Review Options” pane work. My site publishes reviews every week and has traffic exceeding well over 100K monthly views. I need to fix this issue immediately as a backlog is building. The site will collapse without new reviews. I no longer have the option of support since you retired the theme.
If I purchase support under one of the other themes I purchased from you (e.g. Aardvark) will you lend assistance? I’m guessing (like most issues) it’s something you can resolve quickly. Please let me know if this is a viable option. I need help. michael@playnowmedia.com
Please email me at https://themeforest.net/user/ghostpool#contact with your WordPress URL and admin login details and I’ll take a closer look.
Hi, is it possible to only have a single score for the review. I mean not have different categories just a plain flat score.
Hi there,
Yes, for example https://huber.ghostpool.com/demo-reviews/injustice-2-review-ps4/
i have a problem with translation theme on russian. Loco translate shows “Translation set not known in Huber”

Hi, just a quick one, I updated to the latest theme yesterday and it’s changed all the sizes of how the images displays on a mobile, we spent ages making these look right to work with our new app, I cannot seem to rollback the theme either,
This is how images displayed on a mobile before I updated site
https://www.dartsreviews.tv/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/B6D87E04-E1A9-49C0-B9CF-C7A89FD579A0.pngThis is how they look now, lots deeper and image of screen, we designed full width but to suit mobiles as well.
https://www.dartsreviews.tv/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8EB0798C-AF8C-4DA9-8430-D5F52BB3A40D.pngI am happy to roll back if there is a way, it’s not giving me that option on the rollback plugin
I just really need the settings as they were please, it’s one of the best Thebes ever, abd I have big online meetings next week with new companies to showcase the new app and how they all look, I don’t have time over weekend, to redo all images again, is there a way to go back or some css to make it look as it did before update please?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
Go to Theme Options > Styling and in the CSS Code box add:
#gp-page-header .gp-container {
padding-bottom: 75% !important;
}
This is awesome, what great service, thanks a million. Can i just ask one last question, is there a reason why the Hub images lose quality when uploaded?
Please ignore last comment
Hi, lovely theme, please does it have COMPARISON?
Hi there,
This theme does not have comparison features.
Hi Dan
Just a quick message, I love what you have done with the Huber theme, it works a dream.
Just reading through some recent comments about a new review site you are building, once this launch you will still always do updates on Huber theme Won’t you, I am not worried about new features, but need make sure your plans are still to always update it going forward for users that have purchased the theme.
It’s just that I have invested lots of time, building it, getting companies on board and now working on converting it to an app, so spent lots of money on it.
Can I ask what has made you step away this awesome theme without future features and start a new one, Huber is just awesome.
Hi there,
Simply low sales. I can’t invest a huge amount of time in a theme that isn’t selling lots. It’s the same with any product, if a product is not selling well it will eventually be discontinued.
Currently the plan it to still continue to offer Huber on ThemeForest. Eventually it may be taken down, but I will still continue to offer essential updates and bug fixes to existing customers via my own site.
Thanks for your quick reply, that’s all I needed to know, with investing lots of money and time I wanted to ensure I was not going to be left with a site that don’t work as not updated.
Thanks again
Hello,
I understood that there wouldn’t be any new features, only updates to keep the theme compatible with Wordpress, but Hubber and Gauge are two templates that I like very much.
I would obviously prefer to choose the latest theme and benefit from all the improvements. But I have a few questions to help me make my choice.
1) I have seen that there are plans to release a new review theme in the future. There is no ETA, but is it a question of months or more? Will we be able to migrate from Gauge or Huber to this new theme?
Question for HUBBER
2) I would like to be able to display the content directly in two of the tabs (Description and review) and keep the hub system for the other tabs (such as News) as in Gauge. Is it possible with the theme options or do I need to plan a development?
3) Is it possible to open articles directly in the hub? I’d like to keep the navigation system in the hub instead of opening a new page
4) Is it possible to attribute awards? Or is it still not supported and will never be supported ?
5) Is it possible to change the appearance of the rating (replace the square with a round as in Gauge)?
Questions for HUBBER and GAUGE
6) Is a forum automatically created and linked to a hub when a new hub is created?
7) Is a group automatically created and linked to a hub when a new hub is created?
8 ) Does the voting system (up and down) allow to display the Top 10 games of a specific year or month (for example, 2019, or September 2020)?
Best regards,
Hi there,
1) It will likely be a couple of more months. There are currently no plans to make it compatible with Gauge or Huber unfortunately.
2) Yes you can do this in Huber.
3) I’m not sure what you mean. Any link clicked in the hub tab will open a new page – the hub tabs do not load content within the existing page.
4) This is not and will not be supported.
5) This would need to be done using CSS, there is no option to do it.
6) No, you need to create a forum/topic in bbPress and then there is an option in Huber to add the forum to add the forum/topic ID which will insert a hub tab link to this forum.
7) No.
No.
Thank you for your prompt response.
