I am interested in purchasing your theme but first would like to know if it is possible to duplicate the portfolio layout completely so that I could have two sets of categories – one for each portfolio custom post type. I am planning on building a site that would contain one portfolio for an alphabetical list of films, and another portfolio for an alphabetical list of filmmakers. The categories for these two portfolio (films and filmmakers) would be the individual letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc, so that by clicking on each letter filter you could see only that alphabetical section. Since both the film listing and filmmaker listing would have identical category titles, I would need to have two sets of portfolio custom post types. Is this possible? Thank you for your time.

By saying “separate overviews with specific categories” I just mean that you can select specific categories (applies on filters) when you place the portfolio element on a page. It functions in the same way on the front end no matter the selected categories.

If you use the theme as it is, you should have no issues. However, we cannot handle any modifications you have made or the 3rd party plugins you are using. So please disable all these, clear your cache and check again.

@AktiveBuergerschaft I have the same issue. All subfolders like ”/includes/” does not work in child-theme anymore after update. This is kind of bad understanding we are using child theme to avoid those kind of situations.

I mean, my website was working fine. I had to update Osmosis to version 4.1.3 and since the update, any files modified under osmosis-child/includes are not longer working. I have to replace the original files for it to work correctly. Anyone else in the same situation…

I seem to run in a bit of trouble with the gallery “lightbox”, when clicking on an image it quickly opens the load icon and than opens the image url it self instead of the slideshow.

I’ve turned on and off all plugins that I use but can’t find a problem with them. Could you check if something goes wrong?

I just uploaded the latest version 4.1.2 (via ftp) but my child-theme doesn’t connect to the new parent-theme. Mistakes all over. Does anybody have the same problems?

Child theme has your own custom code so you should have control other it. We can only verify that if you have made any overrides in the proper way, you should have no issues.

Hi I am very happy user of your theme. Since a few weeks the full size image header doesn’t show properly anymore. I have tested it on different devices. Will this be fixed with a future update?

Hi guys, On the main page I have created a MAIN MENU – Home, Contact Us, About Us and the button SHOP. On the shop page I have set Main Navigation Menu to my second menu -> Categories. Perfect! However, if I click on any of those categories, my second menu changes back to the MAIN MENU even if I am still at the shop page and/or any other subcategory page.

I might use sidebar widget in the shop to get easy access to the categories but it doesn’t look so good as it is on the mobile version…

Is it possible to have the second menu (Categories) all the time in the header while I am on the shop page, the categories or subcategory page?

Hello, I use Osmosis since 2015 and I am super happy! A few months ago, though, the retina logos stopped to work. Every image that has a retina uploaded works perfectly, except for the logo images. I tried to uninstall plugins, changes the logo files, the preference “retina support” is marked as “full” and nothing changes, the logo still shows in low res! Any ideas of what could be happening? Thanks!

Hi, I purchased the Osmosis theme in 2015 and I am very satisfied with it, but yesterday when I updated to a newer php-version slider revolution wasn’t working in my theme. Now I am wondering if I won’t be able to use the theme any more or are you going to update it soon? Kind regards Johanna

With all due respect, it sounds a bit weird to say that you won’t be able to use the theme because of a 3rd party plugin that it comes bundled with it.

Thank you for your prompt reply! It was my web host “UnoEuro” that told me to change the theme if it wasn’t working with the newer php-version, but I don’t want to change it, since I like it so much. I am using your Osmosis theme. Nice work and I ave very happy with theme and it’s functionality.

However I am having problems with single portfolio layout.

Both of the sites I have running Osmosis have been having a lot of issues with WooCommerce, specifically the /cart page showing up with the notification “Your cart is currently empty” upon attempting to purchase a product. I’ve done extensive troubleshooting and determined that the culprit is the Osmosis Extension plugin. Do you guys happen to have any updates beyond 4.02 available or recommendations so I can make sure WooCommerce is running at 100%?

I know that the support for my license has already expired, but I’m mostly just wondering if you have any quick input or can point me in the right direction. I’m a long-time fan of all your themes so I’m really hoping I can get this fixed without having to move my clients to a new theme.

I am not able to verify any issue at our end – https://greatives.eu/themes/osmosis/shop/ – so there is nothing to be fixed from our side. Everything works fine in several installations with the latest WooCommerce version.

So, maybe you should try disabling any 3rd party plugins or the custom code you are using in your installations.

I have purchased this theme 3 times. Great theme probably the best I have ever used. Anyways I just updated to 4.0.1 for one of my sites and now there are multiple options missing from the “screen options” boxes up top. Most importantly “post options” and “featured section” which I use every time I add a new page or post to customize it. They are simply gone. Is this part of the update and they are now located somewhere else or was this a glitch when I upated? Please advise. Not stoked right now. Thank you.
