Hi, on the category page I’m showing the categories accordeon module on the left side. When I am on a subcategory page, the accordeon module shows the current subcategory and the menu is expanded. I am also showing this menu on the left side of the product page. However the subcategory where the current product resides in is not expandend. I’m aware that a product can have multiple subcategories, but it would be sufficient that the first subcategory of the product is expanded. I don’t mind changing code, any tips?

Hi, unfortunately that’s not how that works, the expanded feature is only available for category pages only. We don’t have any options to expand that on the product page at this time.

Hi is their anyway of removing the hidden and others to reduce dom loading ?

Hi, hidden content is meant to be hidden based on CSS so it is not possible to remove it from DOM. However, many of Journal elements (modules, menus, etc) have Status option which completely removes the elements from DOM. Please file a ticket on our support page if you need further assistance.

Honest review that DigitalAtelier deserves! im working with opencart for last 10 years… one thing for sure i can say. This is the best opencart theme builder of all times…even woocomerce is not even standing near it, i created many sites using journal and i hope Journal theme will get better with years, dont think, just buy this theme. i recommend this 100% and it will pay you off. Also this theme becomes a really standalone page builder!! means i can even make now content website mixed with ecommerce!! this is completly power imThankfull, greatfull. P.s waiting for the ’’content visibility on/off feature’’ (so i can use page builder in full power in every page) waiting very much in next week update.

Hello, I have issue:

Menu is created. Structure: Catagories and subcategories. Subcategories are generated by adding Category module. Problem with this module it generates subcategory images even if images are switched off, and there and alot of extra code. They are not shown but are downloaded. That is not good at all, because it realy slows the page. Please optimise this code and update it. You can create light version-switch to simplyfy output.

Hi, if you’re using Journal 3 on the same domain, no, you can use it for free. You need to buy new licenses for additional domains.

But you can always renew support if you need to file tickets.

You can create unlimited modules and unlimited extra modules, each for different products, see the product assignment and rules for more info: https://docs.journal-theme.com/docs/workflow/assignment

For the module, look in the Items style of the module, there should be a Float option.

hi hope you all are having a good day, I am facing issues of loading time, my site is taking too much time to load, I even discussed with my hosting and according to them every is working fine from there end, can you please check and guide me about why its taking too much time to load, I am using journal3 theme my site URL is https://cartesofficial.com/

Of course we are, but your issue is not something specific and necessarily related to our theme, that’s why we have to investigate your own setup in order to determine what’s causing it.

Without looking at your setup we can only analyse our own demos, which load perfectly fine in our testing.

That is not possible unfortunately, there is only one source file for the image. (It can have different dimensions per device, but the image is the same).

I installed journal but when I view page, it says 7.3+ required. I checked my server and am on 7.3. I tried to access opencart admin, I get page error.

Are you aware of an issue with square payments. That if any error occurs such as missing password on register, or not ticking the privacy policy or t’s & c’s that the errors display for a couple of seconds and then the checkout process continues and an order is raised!
