Just reaching out again to let you know that my website has now force-updated to the new version of WordPress which has broken the sticky sidebar on all of my blogs. I know you said you would have this on your list for your next update but is there a simple way to fix this in the mean time?

I’ve just installed the updated theme today and unfortunately it’s still not fixing the sticky sidebar issue.
Please remove this custom css. The browser has limitation for creating sticky sidebar if the code exists.

Hi! Some days ago, the “custom sidebars plugins” shows an advise that it will not work with the new WP version coming (5.7). Is there any plan to update sprout in order to keep using widgetized sidebars of some sort? thanks a lot

The problem is seems to occurred only your site, It was not found on the original theme. I think it might be caused by some plugins. Please try to deactivate plugins one by one to see which one is responsible for this error. (Don’t forget to clear all wordpress cache before checking)

Don’t be worry. If it’s a bug of theme I would fix it.
But the curious thing is the problem was found on you site only. I can’t repeat the problem on my environment, even on my demo site http://envirra.com/themes/sprout/ (I perform testing in the same way as testing your site but still not found a problem)
Did you modify the theme source code (php, css, js)?
Or please setup another staging site and import the demo for testing.
The tricky thing: it only doesnt like the post carousels… i think it is an browser compatibility issue

I’ve found the root cause of the problem and i release a new theme version (v1.8.7) to fix this issue (You will get an email notification about new update within today). Please download new theme file from ThemeForest download page. Don’t forget to clear wordpress and browser cache.

We are utilizing your latest version of Sprout on the PlymouthVoice.com… and when viewing the site via Fire Fox, the slider does not initially load. We noticed this over the last month or so, and it was not working before or after we upgraded to the latest version of Sprout. Do you have any fixes or recommendations for this issue for our customer?

I checked your site with Firefox 80.0.1 on Windows 10 but not found any problem. All sliders is working fine.
Please clear all wordpress cache and check again.
Thanks for the reply… We do not have Cache plugins installed on PlymouthVoice site. I am using iOS and Firefox myself. And, two others on different networks are using the same version of FF with Windows 10 and the slider will not load until you click on a different page and then click on the logo, and then the slider works in FF… no issues in other browsers…
Can you please check it on another computer as well? the slider will not load on multiple computers running FF 80.0.1. Thank you!

I’ve discovered what i think is a bug. It’s about the social profiles of the authors, with the public email. Even I have nothing in the public email field, the email button is displayed in the author widget linking to a blank email.
For now i’ve hidden the public email with CSS (and then rearranged the position of the mail icon to the last position in the user-profile-fields part of the sprout theme options plugin), but i’m not able to make it work as it must (i mean, no icon if the public email field is empty)

You can workaround by using a custom css. Please copy a custom css from the below
.vw-icon-social[href=”mailto:”] { display: none !important; } Then navigate to ‘Theme Options > Custom CSS/JS’ and paste into ‘Custom CSS’ option.
Anyway, This issue will be fixed in next update.
I’ll wait then. That CSS is not working for me, email keeps showing even is blank. I’m using this .icon-social-email { display: none !important; } instead, but this way any email is shown. Thanks

I’ve just updated the theme but i’m not able to update the Sprout Theme Options Panel correctly. Even i update it, it keeps telling me that i need a higher version of the plugin (from 1.5.2 to 1.5.9 says the install plugin page). The plugin included in this update is in fact the 1.5.2, at least it says so when you edit the plugin.php file. Maybe this is just a bug asking for a plugin version that doesnt exist? can i just ignore the message or do i really need that 1.5.9 version?
Btw: the plugin included in a zip in this new update seems to be exactly the same as the last one (same size, same versión on the php code). Please tell us how could we fix this. Thanks

Sorry for my mistake. Please delete the installed plugin “Sprout Theme Options Panel” and use the zip file at ‘themes/sprout/plugins/sprout-theme-options-panel.zip’ for new installation.
I will fix this for next update within 24 hrs (no notification email for this update).
We have installed as instructed in the documentation, 3 times, and are not seeing the VW Page Composer screen when we create a new page. Without this, we are having issues when adding sidebar to any of the sample home pages. Once the sidebars are added, the page simply loses all of the information and is not able to be recalled. Can you please help with this issue?

After the last wordpress update i’m able to edit posts using clasic editor. When accesing the post creation page, jquery migrate helper advise me as it follows: wp-content/themes/sprout/js/admin.js: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated. It seems this is causing the malfunction. I am not sure if I am asking too much but I have a strange problem. I can not see full-width featured images when post is set as “full width” (I select a featured image in post settings.)
I am using WP Total Cache but I am not sure if this problem is related with it. I tried purging cache but that did not work. what can be the reason of this?
