You mentioned in a previous post (17 days ago asked by MoniqueDThomas) that we can use a shortcode in the copyright text box to post a dynamic date rather than updating every year. However, this is the text that renders on my site when I use a shortcode:
“©[sc name=”dynamicdate”] WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.”
So you’re wrong or there’s something I’m missing. Please explain.

I purchased this theme, but the “support” has expired. I don’t want to have to re-purchase the theme for this single issue for something that seems to be broken (you responded in a comment here that what I have done should be accepted… but short codes don’t work, it’s not user error). If you can please assist me I would appreciate it. You already answered the question here in the comments on MoniqueDThomas’ question, can you just expand on that answer please?

Authors are not allowed to provide support to users with expired support (Monique has got valid support), as it wouldn’t be fair on people with valid support + against the Themeforest support policy. I want to put a horizontal line between each post (for example, 5 posts), is it possible? Now the separator line can be placed first and last in a vertical row, but not between each post.

Sure thing – it depends on your desired mailing service. If you use Mailchimp (The theme demo does), then simply install this free plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
Then create your subscription form inside that plugin and you’ll be given a shortcode. Copy/paste that shortcode in the locations you want to show your subscribe form and that’s it.

There will be more podcast functionality added to the theme (a podcast demo is going to be made too ). Please email in your suggestions/wishes for podcast functionality, as that might help shape the features. Re plugins, you can use any that you like to be honest, as long as it’s coded properly, it’ll work with Zeen.

Hello, I notice this issue with let’s info months ago but since i stopped updating my blog i didn’t pay much attention, and i thought that might be a bug and you probably will fix on the next updates, and I just installed the latest zeen version but the issue still happens.
The issue is that every time i tried to use let’s info block on post, it doesn’t allow me to “add Info” is just not there or disappear as you can see in the video, link below.

I’d like to make a gallery post, but nothing is happening when I switch the post type to “gallery”. Your documentation says there should be dedicated options to edit the gallery after you switch the post type, but I’m not seeing any changes. What should I be seeing?

For all future support, please ensure to use the official support system: http://codetipi.ticksy.com but as a quick one – when you edit your post, you should then scroll down to the bottom of the page and you’ll see the Zeen Post Options metabox. Inside this box there is a Media tab which is where you set up your gallery images. If you don’t see the box, ensure the Zeen Engine plugin is active.

Hello!
I figured out a bug that Zeen has regarding light/dark mode.
Zeen works well with saving user preferences regarding light/dark mode, but bugs out when admin sets ‘Dark Article Background’ in content ‘layout settings’.
So if I already use the dark mode, AND admin sets Dark article Background, a user has to click the button TWO times before the article is in light mode.

The Dark article background isn’t actually dark mode though – the dark mode button’s first click in this situation turns every into dark mode (header/footer/etc), but keeps the article as it’s already dark. As infinite post load means some posts will load with a dark background, I don’t think there’s another approach to this set up either unfortunately.

No worries, it’s not so much a hassle to code, it’s more of I can’t think of a possible approach to solve everything in that set up – I just don’t think it’s actually possible in any way as it can only be one or the other!

I’ve had this theme since Oct 2018, think I’ve got 4 or 5 licenses now. Love it.
Must admit, every time there’s an update I cross my fingers hoping there’s some WooCommerce improvements. I personally think my store looks a little flat, would love some easy Zeen magic to improve it.

By archive images, do you mean you want the gif to be running on category/tag pages? If so, the theme automatically plays gifs there already.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, that’s what I meant by archive pages. I finally had a chance to test this. Works PERFECTLY for regular WP blog posts, and the hero image override you provided is so useful! (Edit: originally wrote that it doesn’t work for WooCommerce, but it does… it just doesn’t seem to work for tipi builder grid images.)
-Speaking of the grids, been meaning to ask you about grids. For a grid like Grid Mix F, it seems to use resized images (1500px for example) and not the full image. This is better for loading of course, but sometimes the main image looks blurry. Is there any way to handle this to make it display the the best quality image or largest?
-The CTA block is great because it can be made for anything. Would you consider making it so the entire banner is clickable instead of having to use a CTA button?

2- Happy you like it, but I’m not 100% sure if making the entire thing would really be possible due to UX issues. Could you not use an image instead? That could be made fully clickable.

This has been under consideration – the main challenges with something like this is it can turn into a rabbit hole if you want it to be done properly. GDPR, hacker-proof (security), constant updates to remain compliant with everything, etc. It’s a bit of a minefield! Never say never, but right now I’d suggest looking at a company/service that dedicates to that (not just a random plugin). Lordreality recommended layerpay, on top of that check out these: https://www.izooto.com/blog/17-best-paywall-solutions-in-2020 some have WordPress plugins.

I have a question regarding those floating social sharing buttons. My Pinterest and Reddit numbers contribute to the share number. Whereas Facebook and Twitter don’t.
They do have shares but they are not reflected on total shares. Am I missing something?

I had a look and yeah Zeen is definitely going to be a great upgrade for your site, it’ll definitely look fantastic 100%.
The only other bit of info that might be helpful info for you is that because your site’s theme is so old, it’s very likely it was coded with old/outdated practises. So as an example – nowadays in each post you need to set a “featured image” and themes automatically use that image to show wherever the post appears. Old themes usually force you to manually embed an image at the top of your post. If you have been doing this, you’ll need to update your old posts by doing something like this tutorial: https://www.gavick.com/blog/wordpress-automatically-set-post-featured-image

Thank You! Yeah i think i start new with my Site. I don‘t copy all my Articles in the new Theme. Because a Restart is better. And some Articles are very old. Maybe i do a Archive with the old Site and Theme. And i pick up only some Articles from my old Site and Start new with a new Theme and new Focus.

No worries, hope the source of issue is identified – if it is a theme thing, it will be fixed. If it’s an external plugin issue, you’d need to contact the plugin author so that they can update their plugin.
Sorry my support is expired already, but I found a bug.
I found the same problem with this ticket It happens only on Safari (macOS/iOS) https://codetipi.ticksy.com//ticket/2443174/if you fix by the code on that ticket, on Google Chrome the video will be hidden.
I tried to clean install a new theme already.

The site from that ticket was using a third party plugin that overrides the videos with extra styling, that’s what was really causing the issue. The theme’s videos all work 100% well by default, it must be a plugin your site doing it. You will need to open a ticket and share your url so the support team can investigate and help you out.
