I cannot make automatic update because WPBakery comes in a bundle with your theme, so I need you to update the whole bundle. just wanted to give my opinion on the theme for anyone who is interested.

General: The theme offers many possibilities to design it according to your needs. However, if you want to implement your design to 100% you can not avoid a lot of custom css code. For example: - Color highlight text - Color button hover - Color link footer section - Color selected field in forms and so on…

The big advantage: The helpdesk teams is quick and competent to help with CSS adjustments! Really great.

Support / Helpdesk : In general you can say about the helpdesk team that they are always happy to help, as far as this is possible within the framework of the support. The quality of the answers varies a bit and if you are unlucky, you only get a standard answer like “have you already deactivated all third party plugins”? Sometimes you only have to ask your question a second time and another employee can answer and solve it. Unfortunately, communication with the support is usually only possible once a day. The helpdesk responds quickly and you get an answer quickly (once per day), but depending on the quality of the answer, you have to specify your question or tell them that the problem could not be solved. The next answer to this question will be given only the following day. In some cases, this leads to communication in tickets for many days and the problem cannot be solved. To put it another way. For every question, reaction or answer, you lose at least one day, because the next response is not until the following day. Some minor issues can thus drag on for many days or weeks.

Weaknesses of the theme:

Although the description states that the theme is fully compatible with the Sportspress plugin, this is unfortunately not the case in reality.

Here are a few examples:

- In the “Advanced Event List” you cannot select a Sportspress calendar but only “Upcomming”, “All” or “Archived” events. Of course, this makes little sense in practice with multiple teams because you want to specify wich events are displayed. This definitely needs to be reworked to make this feature usable.

- On the Sportspress staff member pages there is no possibility to display the job title / activity, which is stored within Sportspress. Just like the position of a player, the job of your staff member is also very important. Also here is an urgent need for improvement.

- There is no possibility to display staff members in an „Advanced Staff List“ like you can do it with the „Advanced Player List“.

There are also still major problems with responsiveness and sportspress:

- Tables like „Event Lists“ are no longer readable on mobile devices. From my point of view a big minus point.

- Sportspress staff profile shortcodes are not responsive and can also no longer be read on mobile devices.

There are also still some bugs in the theme itself, which will hopefully be solved soon:

- When using the “Blog List” and configuring a pagination, this works but the user is not taken back to the top after clicking on the next page but stays at the bottom of the page and has to manually scroll to the beginning of the page. Imagine the Google search would work like this and after clicking on page “2” you have to scroll all the way up again to see the next results. An absolute no go.

- Images in the “Blog List” are not displayed in Google Chrome Browser and Microsoft Edge. There seems to be a problem related to the lazy load feature introduced in Wordpress 5.5. This kind of problem would have to be treated with the highest priority because lazy load is a huge benefit for the site and should therefore remain enabled. Blog post without images are also no alternative. This needs to be improved quickly.

Of course there are also some small things like not fully working animations or spaces, which are not respected. In my view, this is completely normal for a relatively new theme and here I just hope for a quick fix.

Theme Updates: Since the initial release in March 2020, there was only one theme update in September 2020 in which only the wordpress compatibility for 5.5 was ensured and the included plugins were updated. There were no fixes or features since the release 10 months ago. In my opinion, much more would have to happen here for the theme to be used in a productive environment.

Conclusion: In conclusion, I would say that the theme has the potential to become a 5 star theme as it looks really nice and is easy to use in combination with WPBakery. However, at the moment it is far from reaching this maturity and there are still a lot of important things that need to be improved so that you can use the theme in combination with Sportspress without any problems. The helpdesk team does a great job (with a few exceptions) but a lot of work could be saved for the customer and the helpdesk if the theme was more mature.

If you invest a lot of time and can write custom css code you can build a really great site but currently it takes a lot of effort to get a good result and there are some major bugs that can be real show stopper for a go live.

Hello, I am hoping to use this theme for my main domain and my subdomain. Do I have to buy another license even though it’s just the subdomain? For example, I am using a shop.domain for my shop so that I can start selling products before I am finished with my actual webpage. However, to activate, Qode, I can only use one purchase code per theme.

Is there a HTML version of this theme? I would really like to use it, just not on a Wordpress platform. Thanks!

In this theme (from what I can see in the preview) there is section with pictures next to each other and if you hover over them, an orange overlay slides in with the name of e.g. a blog article.

Is it possible to show the title of the article – in the mobile version – right away (as there is basically no hovering)? Otherwise people would have to click on the picture and get relinked just to see what the title of the article is.

One the team page when I put in the event the heading says ‘fixtures’ how do I change that?

One the team page there is a space between the header and the ‘about team’ section. This is where the logo went but I removed it. How can I remove this space so the header image and about team background are right on top of each other?

One the event page the ‘follow on:’ social media does not show? Is there a reason why? Also the part above this does not look like the demo. The images are on the inside versus the outside – how can I change this?
